System for Payment Initiation and Reading Information from Bank Account with PSD2

The purpose of this thesis is to create a payment system for the company Platební instituce Roger a.s. The application allows performing a payment initiation or downloading transaction history from Fio bank accounts. Communication is established directly through bank's REST API that was published as a result of extensive legal changes in the banking sector. These changes come from the new Payment System Directive 2 submitted by the European Commission. Due to this new law banks have to release a public interface to third-party companies. During the development of the application the current state of the implementation of PSD2 services in the Czech Republic has been explored and recorded. This application was designed with regard to extensibility. So that it could be continued to develop in the future.
System for Managing and Paying Invoices

This work aims to simplify the process of paying invoices and also reduce the need to send them in paper form. The system includes the ability to enter invoices from companies, the interface for their display, and the use of the PSD2 directive for their payment. The core of the system is implemented in Python, using the Falcon framework to create the REST API. The necessary data is stored in a database created in PostgreSQL using SQLAlchemy. The client-side is created as a web application, using the usual tools HTML, CSS, Javascript, and the React framework. The submitter of this assignment is the Payment Institution Roger a.s., which has a license to use PSD2 payments.
Extension of a System for Automation of Payments in PSD2

The purpose of this thesis is to extend the system of the payment automation process in the company Platební instituce Roger a.s. The thesis is closely linked to a new european payment legislation - the Second Directive on Payment Services (PSD2). The directive introduces a new concept of the so called open banking service which allows the licenced third party providers to control the client's bank account directly through the special banking API. Within this thesis the current state of the process of PSD2 implementation in the Czech Republic has been explored and recorded. Afterwards a new system for the payment automation has been designed and developed. This system enables to interconnect the internal company software of Roger a.s. with API of Komerční banka, Česká spořitelna and Raiffesenbank. The result of this diploma thesis is the program which will be used for inputting and confirming one time payments. It could be also used for downloading the transaction history or the account balance on the company's bank accounts.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the creation of a library in PHP language for the API specified by czech standard for the Open banking. First part is targeted to analyse the czech standard in conjunction with the european Payment Service Directive, known as the PSD2. Next part describe requirements of the libraly for consuming REST API. Practical part contains creation of the library and it's usage. This library is designed for use in a financial application and managing user financial informataion and payments.
PSD2: The Implications for Banking and the Fintech Industry

(EN) The main aim of this diploma thesis is to critically assess the implications of the revised Directive on Payment Services (PSD2) for Banking and the Fintech Industry. In order to do so, the thesis firstly focuses on the current banking system together with the recent problems associated with the Global financial crisis of 2007-2008, which have given rise to substantial changes of the regulation of banking system at the EU level. Subsequently, the thesis compares the banking system with the rising financial technology (Fintech) industry and provides an overview of this industry together with regulation thereof. The provided overview of Banking and the Fintech Industry is followed by the analysis of the original Directive on Payment Services (PSD) and the PSD2, which also includes relevant case-law of the CJEU. Finally, the last part of the thesis assesses the possible implications of the PSD2, while it takes into account other relevant factors that may affect the potential development of the Fintech Industry. From the respective analysis it becomes apparent that the regulation of the banking system at the EU level has been strengthened in response to the Global financial crisis given that the insufficient regulation of banking was one of the main causes of the Global financial crisis....

The Law and Regulation of Payment Services

The Law and Regulation of Payment Services Abstract The thesis deals with the subject of payment services, especially in the context of the Payment Services Directive 2, which recently came into force. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate which activities on the financial market are subject to regulation of payment services, to identify the persons authorised to provide payment services and to analyse certain rights and obligations arising between payment service users and payment service providers. The author also tries to analyse the changes brought by the Payment Services Directive 2 into the Czech law and considers the possible impact of such legislation on the payment services market and on the persons operating on it. The thesis is divided into five chapters, the first chapter deals with individual payment services; the second chapter defines activities that are out of the scope of payment services. The next chapter contains an overview of both Czech and EU law applicable to payment services, payment service providers and their activities. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the persons authorized to provide payment services and the fifth chapter describes the legal relationships arising when providing payment services, focusing mainly on the payment service contract, information duty of payment...
Choose authentication method for logging in to the electronic banking at the same time as cancellation of GRID cards authentication

The aim of this Master thesis is to choose appropriate authentication method for logging in to the electronic banking. The chosen solution will serve as an additional factor for authentication and authorization of client and at the same time as the replacement of the outdated security method GRID card. Development and direction of the electronic banking is explained in the theoretical part of the thesis. Further on, the advantages of this channel that are provided to clients and bank, are described. Some of the trends which daily affect the direction of the electronic banking are also described. Security is very important part of the electronic banking and that is why it is mentioned in the each part of this thesis. The practical part contains proposed cancellation procedure of GRID cards and proposal of the new solutions that could replace them in the future. It also contains selection and description of evaluation criteria and multi-criteria evaluation of the selected solutions. Saaty method and scoring method were used to determine the weight of the particular criteria. Conclusion of the thesis compares achieved results of the individual authentication methods and assets of this Master thesis.
Core banking systems

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of core banking systems. The main objective is to analyze the implementation of the SEPA payments into the payment module. The theoretical part defines the concept of core banking systems and its history. It also compares conventional approaches to core banking systems with Islamic ones. The theoretical part also includes chapters about implementation approaches, the most common challenges in implementation and architecture of core banking systems. Next part of thesis is about the basic modules of core banking systems. The practical part is about the analysis of requirements on core banking systems. Especially the requirements that are mandatory from legislation perspective. These are SEPA payments, PSD2 and instant payments. Gap analysis is used as the main method. We chose SEPA payment implemetation as the requirement that we will analyse. There are two possible solutions that can be used. The first one is the customization of the current payment module and the second solution is implementation of the payment hub. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the best solution for each of two types of bank institutions. The main acquisition of the thesis is the recommended solution for two different types of banks. And second of all, the conclusions which was founded in this thesis should be used for another requirements such as PSD2, the introduction of instant payments, and more.
