Uher, Vojtěch ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Title: Utilization and preferences of smartwatches and their features for measuring health parameters in the adult population Objectives: The aim of this master's thesis is to analyze the utilization and preferences of smartwatches in the adult population and to examine their potential for measuring health parameters through a questionnaire survey. Methods: The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey. A questionnaire of our own design was utilized. Results: The average age of the respondents who filled out the questionnaire for this diploma thesis was 31.2 years. 63 out of 103 probands use smartwatches to monitor their health status, with the most frequently measured parameter being heart rate. All 63 respondents follow here. The most used function associated with physical activity is tracking the number of steps. 91 respondents are interested in this data. Factors such as quality, accuracy, and design play a key role when choosing a smartwatch. According to the respondents, the most used smartwatches are from Apple and Garmin. Apple Watch is used by 42% of probands and the Garmin brand by 26% of probands. Respondents often prefer the Apple brand for its compatibility with other devices, and Garmin for its high accuracy. Smartwatches also provide motivation for users to engage in...
Peer Analysis in the Cryptocurrency Networks
Jeřábek, Vladimír ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Veselý, Vladimír (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create a tool that will collect relevant information about active nodes in  a Bitcoin peer-to-peer network. We are able to collect important data for more detailed analysis by monitoring the behavior of individual nodes on the network . The proposed solution uses unmodified Bitcoin Core client, which connects to all reachable nodes on the network. The platform has modular design, which offers good scaling as well. Created BiNMo tool (Bitcoin Network Monitor) also employs simple visualization of gathered data. The correct functionality of the monitoring platform was verified in the real operation, where it was monitoring Bitcoin network for more than two months. During that time, BiNMon parsed over 12 TiB of network data and stored over 270 GiB of  metadata about active nodes. The entire platform can be deployed within a few minutes, thanks to Docker containerization.
Design and developement of autonomous system for monitoring critical paramaters in food industry
Chovan, Hynek ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
his work focuses on automating the monitoring of temperature and other operational parameters in gastronomic establishments. The designed device allows real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and other parameters with remote access capability. It utilizes the ESP32 microcontroller, SHT40 and HX711 sensors, and TP4056 charging circuit with DW01A protection circuit. Data is transmitted to a Gateway device, which displays it through a web interface. Testing demonstrated sufficient communication range and long battery life. The device meets requirements for compactness, reliability, and efficiency. This project represents progress in IoT applications for ensuring food safety and efficiency in handling food in gastronomic establishments.
Training tracking using NFC technology
Blažík, Vojtěch ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the development of mobile application which uses NFC technology for training tracking and monitoring of gym equipment usage. The work summarizes the basic motivation and approaches to training and equipment tracking as well as NFC technology and mobile app development focused on the multiplatform framework Flutter. The resulting app is based on the client-server architecture with offline mode support and uses the identifiers of deployed NFC tags to identify the machine and exercises. The goal of this work is to show a functional system, which incorporates this technology in an unconventional way to achieve a higher user comfort.
Wireless dalalogger
Linek, Tomáš ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kunz, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a wireless datalogger. It includes a detailed description of the issues related to wireless transmission using LoRa technology, which was utilized in the implementation. Furthermore, the design of the entire device, consisting of a central logging unit and sensor units, is described. The thesis also covers the hardware and software equipment of the wireless datalogger, including a user desktop application. The outcome of the work is the construction of a functional datalogger enabling the logging of temperature and humidity from wireless sensor modules and measurement of its parameters.
Switch board for FVE design
Kovář, Lukáš ; Holek, Radovan (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on electrical switchboard design and optimalization for a photovoltaic power plant. Within the design, the main requirements for the switch board, such as the output voltage of photovoltaic panels, the ability to monitor power, protection against external influences, and the output system, are defined. Thesis‘ key element is the implementation of modern technologies and control systems for power monitoring and control. The thesis explores the possibilities of using automation technologies for optimal energy utilization and maintenance costs reduction.
System for Control Automation of Home Brewery
Mimochodek, Vojtěch ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the control, automation, and monitoring of the beer brewing production process. The main goal is to develop a control system that enables the automation and monitoring of individual brewing phases. The theoretical part addresses the beer production processes, provides an overview of home brewing equipment, and offers a detailed description of the mini-brewery that is part of this thesis. The practical part includes the design and implementation of the proposed system. The Ąnal section is devoted to system testing and evaluation.
Design and optimization of device for characterization and recycling of plastic radioactive waste
Hrbáček, Tomáš ; Vojáčková, Jitka (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the generation, management and monitoring of radioactive waste in nuclear power plants in the Czech Republic. After the Second World War, with the development of nuclear power and armaments, radioactive waste management became an important field. The main sources of waste are the nuclear fuel cycle and a variety of industrial, research and medical activities. This work focuses on the detection of gamma radiation on plastic foils that are used as protection during reactor maintenance shutdowns. The objective is to contribute to more efficient waste management and to promote the recycling of materials in nuclear power plants with the collaboration with the company MIFRE s.r.o.
Drones (UAVs) Used in the Commercial Sector
