The puppet theater building in the center of Opava
Solmošiová, Sára ; Štěpán, Marek (referee) ; Sládeček, Svatopluk (advisor)
The building of the theater is not currently a stable structure; it changes based on current demands. From the beginning, I have worked with the idea of a new space for today's theater scene, not only for the specifics of puppet theater. The intention of the design is to create a space for theater professionals according to their needs, while not neglecting the aesthetics of visual and architectural requirements beyond the lapidary construction. Verticality allows for an efficient workflow. The mass of the theater building stemmed from the design of the performance space.

This work contains a technical report for the given technological stage, the situation of the construction with wider relations of transport routes, a statement of dimensions for the technological stage, a technological regulation including a balance of resources (item budget together with a graph of the deployment of workers). Furthermore, the content of this work is a drawing of the construction site equipment together with a technical report and construction organization solution for the rough superstructure, a timetable for the given stage, a design of the machine assembly including a comparison of two variants and the selection of the most suitable machine, control and test plans and ensuring work safety. In the last point of this work, I am dedicated to verifying the adhesion and load-bearing capacity of the connecting material, more specifically, it is a polyurethane adhesive for masonry.
Feedback
Smolek, Adam ; Suchánek, Jiří (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
The topic of the thesis is feedback, understood literally as a technical principle in the creation of an audiovisual work, but also as a general principle of reflexivity. In this way, the dramaturgical, curatorial and production activities of the author are included in the framework of the diploma thesis, which are understood not only as autonomous creative outputs, but also as feedback systems. The result of the work is an author's tool operating with image and sound data derived from records of completed projects in the field of creating exhibitions, cultural and musical events. On the one hand, the work seeks to evaluate the realized projects by shifting to the meta-level of the work of art, its output is the creation of an audiovisual tool itself, but the conceptual level of using the feedback mechanism to reflect on oneself in interpersonal relationships is also essential.
Boundary layer transition visualization in aerodynamic tunnel
Holík, Denis ; Trusík, Vojtěch (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis was to propose and test an imaging method that allows visualization of the transition of a laminar boundary layer to a turbulent one and visualization of laminar boundary layer separation on the side mirror of a car. The beginning of the paper discusses the theoretical foundations associated with boundary layer formation and its evolution under various conditions. Afterwards, a survey of existing imaging methods that allow the display of flow on the surface of bodies was carried out. Of these methods, imaging using a thermal imaging camera was selected on the basis of the specified characteristics. The method using oil film (oilflow) was chosen as a control. Using both methods, experiments were conducted to confirm the suitability of the thermal imaging method for visualizing the transition of a laminar boundary layer to a turbulent boundary layer. The final test revealed the presence of laminar boundary layer separation on the upper cover of the car side mirror. At the end of the thesis, possible errors associated with the two chosen visualization methods were summarized, and ways to incorporate the thermal imaging method into automotive testing were proposed.
Static analysis of reinforced concrete walls with additionally made openings
Šimek, Ondřej ; Borzovič, Viktor (referee) ; Vítek, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the implementation of additional openings in reinforced concrete walls from the point of view of structural analysis. Two types of walls are analysed: panel walls and infill shear walls. In the introductory part, the current state of knowledge in the methods of analysis of this issue is discussed and their advantages or shortcomings are pointed out. Several types of wall specimens with pre- or post-made openings with different types of reinforcement representing the state after an additional opening is made are proposed and their behaviour is experimentally and subsequently numerically verified. On the basis of the data obtained, methods are proposed for the structural analysis and the design of reinforced concrete walls with additional openings. For panel walls with openings, the analysis method using wall models is extended and the method of static assessment is specified. The method of analysis for infill shear walls with an opening using equivalent diagonal bar strut has been extended to take account for the reinforcement and its load state. The proposed structural analysis methods were applied to a real prefabricated house with an additional opening and to a hypothetical frame structure with a proposed structural intervention in its bracing system.

Bachelor's thesis is focused on solving educational problem based on experimental apparatus with cam mechanism. The task of the educational problem is to teach students to analyse kinematic quantities of cam followers. The thesis contains general discourse on the topic of cam mechanisms and basic terms definition. This is followed by putting the device into service, eliminating its particular imperfections, analysis of kinematic quantities of various combinations of available cams and followers and definition of methodics of the educational problem. The educational problem itself follows the presentation and commentary of gained results. At last some recommendations for the future modifications of the experimental apparatus are given followed by foreshadow of its eventual future usage.
Optimization of the Wire Drawing Process
Kabilka, David ; Světlík, Radim (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The aim of work is to present and analyse assessment of the current state and at the same time the proposal of adjustments to the technology or parameters, the introduction of the wire into the drawing machine. The problem arises when the introduction of wire with a diameter of 14 mm from the material CK 67 to the drawbenches Schumag. If we introduce the wire into the drawing machines with two primary beams leads to a buckling of the wire and pack between the drawing die and the boot device. For the introduction of wire are used hydraulic boot collets, which are controlled semi-automatically. In connection with professional studies and on the basis of the calculation, simulation and practical experiment have been identified the conditions allowing the current method of deployment of wire to use.
Analysis of friction of hip joint replacements with modification of surface topography
Němeček, Daniel ; Quinn, Cheney (referee) ; Nečas, David (advisor)
Hip endoprosthesis introduces an effective treatment for patients suffering from advanced stages of hip degeneration. Despite the advancements made in recent years, limited longevity negatively affects the application of this technology in young patients. The main mechanism which causes limited longevity is wear, which depends on the friction and lubrication of the joint. This thesis aims to observe the effect of a textured surface on a UHMWPE polyethylene cup combined with a smooth femoral head as a solution, which may reduce the friction and wear of the contact surfaces. Two textured cups and three smooth femoral heads were used in the experiment (ceramic, metal, oxinium). The results showed that the textured surface has a positive effect on both reducing friction and providing more stability with the use of synovial fluid. A significant reduction in friction is observed for the surface with smaller dimples rather than for the surface with larger ones. Specifically, the combination of a ceramic femoral head and a finely dimpled surface resulted in the reduction of friction by 66 %. Attention was also paid to the effect of the load on the hip. In most cases, the load did not significantly impact the results. It can be assumed that reducing the friction at the joint leads to the reduction of the rate of wear, thus increasing the implant longevity.
