The inadequate state of Czech highways and search for new financial resources opened again the topic of private capital use through PPP. PPP is an abbreviation for public-private partnership where a public service or specific infrastructure is provided by a private partner. The first part explains the characteristics of PPP projects and their possible advantages and disadvantages as well as a brief description of historical development and distribution of public- private partnerships into the common types used. The second part illuminates the legal aspects of realization by the individual phases of implementation. It starts with a selection process, deciding on what the project will be financed from. Prepositions Expressing Cause, Concession, Purpose and Condition in the Present-Day French

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the prepositions expressing cause, concession, purpose and condition in the present-day French. This thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part defines the prepositions from the positional, functional and lexical point of view. Syntactic and semantic functions of the prepositions are also here described. The aim of this part is to characterize causal, concessive, proposal and conditional relations and to introduce the prepositions expressing these semantic relations. The practical part is dedicated to the contrastive corpus analysis of the French prepositions and the searching of their Czech equivalents.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the grammar of concessive clauses and how they can be translated. This thesis is divided into two parts theoretical and practical. In the first part I describe the theory of subordinate concessive clauses and in the second part I analyse this topic on samples of use, based on parallel corpus InterCorp.
The Issue of Connectors in Contemporary French

The thesis deals with the issue of connectors in contemporary French. The first part offers an outline of different approaches to the term connector/connecteur within Czech and Francophone linguistics. Based on the description and comparison of individual authors' approaches classified by the theoretical aspects applied, this part explains functioning of connectors not only within the logical semantic coherence relations, but also within the hierarchisation of utterance content considering the pragmatic dimension of the text. The second part of the thesis defines the term "connector" with respect to the approaches introduced above. The third part of the work deals with the characteristics and function of concessive connectors. It is based on defining the concessive relations, it describes their different aspects of meaning conditioning the relations classification within logical semantic relations in Czech and French and offers a list of linguistic means to express them and at the same time, it stresses the complex functional character of the connectors.

1 1 Abstract The topic of this dissertation thesis is Public Private Partnership. Public Private Partnership is a new phenomenon for delivering services and works by public authorities and other public bodies and entities (as contracting authorities). It emerged in the English speaking countries, namely in the USA and UK, in the 70s and 80s of the last century. Later, because of budgetary restraints and problems with financing public con tracts other countries across the European Union and the world showed interest in this phenomenon. Public Private Partnership is an economic rather than a legal term. Legislation does not use this designation. Instead, common features of Public Private Partnership are used to describe and set down Public Private Partnership in law. It is a general designation for different forms of cooperation between public and private entities which have the following features: The cooperation is based on contractual relations, it is a long term relation and the private entity bears risks related to the performance which would bear the public entity otherwise. The Expression of Concession in the present-day French (corpus analysis - Intercorp)

This bachelor thesis focuses on expressing concession relation in contemporary French. The thesis objective is to describe how is concession expressed in French, and compare it with Czech equivalents. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. First, theoretical, clarifies basic terms and introduces main and secondary means used to express concession relation. Second, practical, was worked on using parallel corpus Intercorp and deals with the hypothesis mentioned in first part, which are either confirmed or disproved.
Public Private Partnership in the Czech Republic

The dissertation describes the current situation of Public Private Partnership (PPP), and then analyzes the development of this concept in the Czech Republic from 2004 to the present time, especially regarding to the implementation of Governmental policy in the field of Public Private Partnership declared in the key resolutions of the Government, institutional ensure and number and volume of the implemented projects. This dissertation also defines the main causes of failure of Public Private Partnership in the Czech Republic. Moreover, the thesis also includes a comparison of Public Private Partnership in the Czech Republic and in selected European countries (Slovakia, Croatia, Portugal) and formulation of the preconditions for successful implementation of Public Private Partnership in the Czech Republic in the future.
