Design of a facility management process for a multifunctional building
Prokešová, Dorota ; Vařechová, Martina (referee) ; Klika, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with facility management in general and also with a focus on multifunctional buildings. The theoretical chapters explain the concept of facility management and its development from history to the present. The field is then introduced including related concepts, services and maintenance as well as from a structural point of organisation. The subject of complex facilities management is complemented by the introduction of innovative and modern methods that are in practice or are planned to be applied. These include BIM and CAFM methods as well as minor complementary trends. In the second part of theoretical terms, the multifunctional building is described, the life cycle of buildings and their durability is discussed. At the very end, there is also a description of building passporting, which is an integral part for the management and maintenance of the building properties. In the middle of the thesis, it moves into a more practical focus, presenting a specific life cycle theme, and based on this, a financial plan and then directly a specific facility management proposal is drawn up for a selected multifunctional building.
Trypanosomes transmitted by mosquitoes: occurrence in hosts, transmission, and specificity
Kulich Fialová, Magdaléna
7 Abstract Trypanosomes (Trypanosoma, Kinetoplastea) are dixenous blood protists that require not only a vertebrate host but also a blood-feeding invertebrate to complete their life cycle. Infection of vertebrates can be asymptomatic, but on the other hand can cause serious diseases affecting lives of humans and animals. Thus, researchers usually focus on Trypanosoma species causing Chagas disease and sleeping sickness in humans or nagana and surra in animals, and on their vectors: tsetse flies and kissing bugs. However, mosquitoes are able to transmit trypanosomes as well, specifically, avian trypanosomes and probably mammalian trypanosomes from the T. theileri group. Nevertheless, the role of mosquitoes in the life cycle of trypanosomes has substantial gaps, which are focused in this dissertation. Within the experimental work, it has been demonstrated that mosquitoes of the genus Culex are susceptible hosts of two species of avian trypanosomes: T. thomasbancrofti and T. tertium n. sp. On the other hand, Culex mosquitoes were unsuitable hosts for T. theileri, while the genus Aedes and surprisingly even sand flies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) turned up to be competent vectors. All investigated trypanosomes were able to develop within the guts of mosquitoes and were also found in their prediuretic liquid. This...
Zlín FCK Technology
Morávek, Jakub ; Kudla, David (referee) ; Štěpán, Marek (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a residential building in the area of Malenovice near Zlín, where a new residential complex is to be built on the land of the current Malenovice sawmill, situated in close proximity to a four-lane road. The concept of this proposal is based on a detailed examination of human cycles and their impact on people in everyday life in relation to architecture. From the life cycle through the annual cycle and especially the daily cycle, professionally referred to as the circadian rhythm. The building, with its idea concept, orientation to the cardinal points, zoning of the apartment and also the shape solution, responds to the needs of man in terms of light comfort and at the same time addresses the greatest efficiency of the technologies used precisely in relation to light comfort, the form solution also creates conditions at the terrace level for the meeting of a wide range of inhabitants of the house - creating diversity. It reduces the need to illuminate the space during the day with artificial lighting, and after dark it addresses artificial lighting with respect to human health, thus also reducing energy consumption.

Economic characteristics of the life cycle of building
Aigel, Petr ; Tichá, Alena (advisor)
Economic characteristics of building in the life cycle of the building work is a very broad topic. Captures economic part and associated technical part idem. Also, the life cycle of building work is very broad, a great many aspects and bearings enters into and influences the work. Excepting costs and prices of acquisition and maintenance of the works is necessary to observe quality of work performing. Both the materials used part and in terms of quality of each facture. This affects the amount of costs that may arise on the part of such unnecessary and degrading work as an entirety. This work attempts to describe all these aspects and influences, classify and appropriately use to monitoring of the works. All findings are tested on the building work - family house. The cornerstone is to find a suitable way of sorting accompanying work throughout its life cycle, allowing us to track costs and prices incurred on it. The conclusion consists answering questions and hypothesis exposed in the work.
