The thesis focuses on the marketing strategy of Mešťanský pivovar v Poličce, a. s. (The Citizen's brewery in Polička, a.s.) and carry out its analysis by using marketing tools. Based on the analysis I give the brewery recommendations how to improve its strategy. In the theoretical part of thesis I introduce more closely discipline of strategic marketing and its instruments and methods used.

The mergers of breweries and their influence on the prices of beer and the market stucture in the Czech Republic

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse an influence of breweries' mergers on the price of beer and the market structure in the Czech Republic. This paper is focused on the development of market structure at the market of bottled beer and keg-beer in the last 20 years. Both markets has noticed strong rise of market concentration so far. The biggest brewing companies either with Czech or with foreign capital participation are also introduced here. In the part dedicated to the influence of breweries' mergers on the price of beer there is a summary showing price development of some Czech bottled and keg-beer. Connecting of the breweries and their influence on the extensity of offered beer are assessed on the examples of Heineken Czech Republic Group and K Brewery Group. On the total analysis of the ROA and ROS ratios it is possible to see significant differences depending on the size of the company. The last part of this paper demonstrates a tax advantage of the small breweries.

The bachelor work focuses on strategic analysis of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. and on analysis of beer market in Czech Republic. Headquarter of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. is located in Plzen and it is part of major companies on the beer market. Aim of work is to present possibilities of strategic analysis which is the first step of the business valuation based on income analysis. Strategic analysis consists of free parts. The content of the first part is rating of the beer market and forecasting of the whole beer market sales. The content of the second part is comparison of company with other competitors on the beer market. Finally the last part is the forecasting of Plzeňský prazdroj Inc. sales.

The purpose of this text is to estimate the value of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a.s. in order to determine value for yet unknown buyer. Approaches commonly used for appraisement of enterprises' value are used within the text, such as strategic analysis, financial analysis, finacial plan composition and the use of discounted cash flow methods. This thesis results in an appraisement of value of firm's equity on the date of evaluation.

Thesis applies methods of ANP in brewing industry. It concentrates on Czech beer market and small local brewery in Policka. Main goal of the thesis is to apply the methods in real life problems from the chosen segment. Work consists of several chapters. First chapter defines the goals of the thesis and describes situation in Policka brewery. Second deals with theory around ANP processes. Third chapter is the main part of the thesis. It applies the theory by solving concrete problems. Last chapter analyzes the results.
