Stability and chaos in nonlinear dynamical systems
Synchronization and Discontinuous Input Processing in Transition Systems
Vorel, Vojtěch ; Čepek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Otto, Friedrich (referee) ; Průša, Daniel (referee)
Original results in computational and combinatorial theory of reset words in transition systems, road coloring in directed graphs, and discontinuous input processing in formal languages are presented, including strong lower bounds on subset synchronization thresholds, lower bounds on descriptive power of jumping finite automata, and corresponding complexity classifications.
High Precision Reference Position Generator for Motor Control in FPGA
Dvořák, Vojtěch
The paper deals with an architecture of a high precision reference position generator for a motor controller implemented in FPGA. The architecture was developed to achieve high accuracy and tunability with concern to resource efficient implementation in FPGA. Simulations of the proposed generator as well as synthesis results are presented in the paper.
Activity pattern of free-living Ansell´s mole-rat (\kur{Fukomys anselli}) as revealed by automatic radio-telemetry
HAUSTEINOVÁ, Tereza
Social behavior of some species of African mole-rats makes them interesting object of study. Members of multigenerational families were only one pair breeds collectively work on building of their burrow system and obtaining food. Distribution of activity during the day in individual family members may give us a clue of how they manage their work. However, studies monitoring mole-rats in their natural environment are scarce and usually carried out on low number of individuals. Present study deals with outside-nest activity of 16 free-living Ansell´s mole-rats using data obtained by automatic radio-telemetry - method which was used in radio-tracking of mole-rats for the first time. It reveals differences in activity pattern of individual mole-rats and examines how they relate to body mass, sex, reproductive status and affiliation to a family and test whether individuals of the same family tend to be synchronized in their outside nest activity.
Java EE Application Synchronization
Poul, Jan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This work deals with the Java EE platform and the bidirectional client-server communication. It presents a design of an application architecture that allows to synchronize the state of applications and their graphical output for a larger number of clients. The final solution contains a sample application that demonstrates the synchronization of connected clients.
Distributed Document Server Based on CouchDB Database
Kanis, Martin ; Burget, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
Thesis discusses distributed database systems and its advantages and disadvantages. Further, text informs about document database CouchDB, storage of documents, synchronization and CAP theorem. The aim of the thesis is to implement distributed document management system and workflow management system based on CouchDB. The system contains a cluster with three CouchDB nodes with HAProxy in front, which does load balancing. The system allows creation of any document based on the template, manages its life cycle and workflow. It is also possible to create a custom workflow using BRMS rules. The implemented solution simplifies document management and workflow and allows a high degree of customization for the organizations needs.
Generation of OFDM signals using arbitrary waveform generator LW410
Jagoš, Ľubomír ; Vařacha, František (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis describing basic concepts and parts of OFDM modulator, showing their implementation in Matlab. It’s focused on how to use USRP with Matlab to create fully functional OFDM modulator.
Circadian system of the retina
Kozel, Tomáš ; Bendová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Moravcová, Simona (referee)
Most of the known living organisms have developed an evolutionary adaptation to a 24-hour daily rhythm. This rhythm, known as circadian rhythm, can be preserved even in the environment, in which there is no access to light or other synchronizer. The master organ of circadian rhythm is located in the hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) and have been considered the only autonomous circadian oscillator for a long time. The new research, however, has doubted this hypothesis by showing the existence of autonomous circadian clock systems independent of SCN. One of these autonomous clocks is the circadian system in the retina. This bachelor thesis reviews current scientific knowledge on the function of mammalian retinal circadian oscillator, most importantly in the field of its localization, connection with the SCN master circadian oscillator and its influence on retinal physiology.
Universal backup
Douša, Daniel ; Pergel, Martin (advisor) ; Fučík, Milan (referee)
The main assignment of job is to solve the problem of colliding access to a shared data store for different types of data backup. The main limitation is the impossibility to run the server software on the shared medium. For this reason, there is a need to find resolutions of conflicts only with using of a shared data space and non-guaranteed direct connections of clients. As part of the work is implemented the solution has preference direct clients with a guarantee in the form of a synchronizing file on a shared medium. Part of the draft solution is to create an application that allows various types of backup (full, differential, synchronization, etc.). The application also allows distributed backup (backup data from multiple location) with synchronization mechanisms. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
