Energy assesment of single family house
Panovec, Jan ; Počinková,, Marcela (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to understand the nature of the energy assesment of building with low energy demand and energy-saving requirements. The calculations of energy intensity and experimental measurements of chosen parameters of inner microclimate in the building were done. Theoretical part includes requirements and principles of projecting buildings with low energy demand.
Discussion about Energy Savings and Potential Threats of Energy Poverty at the Level of the Residental House (Case Study Lidická, Brno, Czech Republic)
Klusáček, Petr ; Krejčí, Tomáš ; Martinát, Stanislav
The contribution deals with issues of energy savings and energy poverty at the level of the residential house. The attention is focused on the process of searching of methods leading to energy savings and furthermore on the question, if some investments can create threats of energy poverty among some groups of actors. The results show that even public financial support for energy savings can cause at some conditions (rejection of financial support) serious financial problems and it can create further economic pressure on groups of actors who are potentially threatened by energy poverty.
Economy of fast-growing woody species
Levý, Lukáš ; Veber, Jaromír (advisor) ; Gaspár, Ladislav (referee)
The thesis is focused on analyzing and evaluation of importance and potential of fast-growing woody species for specifics of Czech economy and local conditions. Thesis will inquire into applicability of each fast-growing species for Czech natural conditions. Further I will investigate opportunities of subvention from public authorities. Next part of thesis will be focused on all activities and processes during cultivation of fast-growing species from acquiring land to processing of wooden mass. For each activity will quantify costs of labor and physical capital during cultivation of fast-growing woody species for different subjects in Czech economy, like household owning a soil or company with unused outside areas. Thesis will be comparing possible energetic savings of profits for a number of alternatives with different energy prices development in ongoing years. Practical output of this thesis should not be only the compilation of all these information into one text, but above all also a complex formula which everyone can use for the calculation of his opportunities for cultivating of fast-growing woody species.
Energy saving financing in the CR in comparison with selected programs abroad
Svobodová, Alena ; Kačín, Radovan (advisor) ; Kalčev, Petr (referee)
This master thesis is looking into problems of financing of energy saving arrangements in residential buildings. The paper concentrates on an analysis of all available sources of financing. After a brief characteristic of basic ways of financing, including Czech and foreign models, it introduces closer only a selection of the available programs, grant titles and commercial products. Then the attention is paid to more specific programs and products from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. This paper applies their program parameters to a model object of the residential building and assesses each and every option, using selected economical standards. Based on these parameters, it appraises an economical effectiveness of the investment in individual variations of financing from the point of view of an investor and a state, expressed with the price of a unit saved CO2 emission. By combining both preferential variations of an investor and a state, an optimal variation of financing for the model object is found.

Yonová, Kateřina ; Šumpela, Vít (advisor) ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the benefit of cohesion policy to reduce energy consumption and preserve an attractive environment in the Czech Republic. The aim is to determine the spatial distribution and allocation of approved financial resources from fields of support related to energy savings. The primary focus is on the Operational Programme Environment - priority axis Sustainable Use of Energy and the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation --priority axis Energy Efficient, which are subjects of the analysis. In conclusion is summarized current information about the form of future cohesion policy after 2013.
Enhancement of energy balance of WWTP
Bartoník, A. ; Holba, Marek ; Plotěný, K. ; Škvoran, O. ; Horák, P. ; Počínková, M.
Wastewater treatment plants are not operated in the optimum energetic regime recently. There are several methods, how to improve this status. Our manuscript is balancing energy conversion balance enhancement by using heat energy applications.
Approach to usage of computer workstations considering the aspect of their energy demands
Řeháček, Jakub ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
This thesis deals with possibilities of a personal computer energy savings through human interaction. .It considers available technologies and draw from commonly known users' habits and maladies. It tries to focus on users' view, identify the aspects of interaction with the computer, which represents the place for energy conservation. Thesis presumes to outline patterns in behavior, applicable to individuals and to corporate environment. Thesis arrange in layers basic thoughts of users' view and tries to consider the details of users' habits to be able to bring a concrete suggestions how to improve approach to usage of personal computers with the effect of lower energy consumption. At first thesis defines commonly known global problems which come with the usage of personal computers. It does not consider the hardware side of the problem. It outlines the most often problems, which are being done by users and it brings summary of solutions, which are described in partial sections of the thesis. At the end it consists of case study of DHL ITSC Prague s.r.o., on which it shows possible financial savings.
Return on investment in passive houses and their subsidies
Malinová, Kateřina ; Písař, Pavel (advisor) ; Šmíd, Jan (referee)
Recently one of the most discussed themes is climate change and green parties come into a political scene. They further policy of ecological taxes which increase prices of energy. The consumers react to this increase of price and the demand of energy-saving style of life is increasing. That's why the passive houses are so popular in Europe especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Czech Republic reacts against it with a grant programme "Green savings" which was debatable at the beginning. It is because of a condition that grants can be utilized only by people who will have a passive house built by suppliers from the List of Qualified Suppliers which is state on websites of Department of the Environment. That passive house is usually more expensive even if you get the grant. I would like to find advantages and disadvantages of The Green Savings programme. The main goal of Bachelor Thesis is finding out if is profitable to invest into passive houses development in Czech Republic in term of investment return. As good efficient example I use the seminar building of Centre Veronica Hostětín which is the first public building in Czech Republic.
Energy Performance Contracting
Čtrnáctý, Jaromír ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Branžovský, Antonín (referee)
Energy Performance Contracting is an energy saving method, when the supplier guarantees a certain minimal level of energy savings to the customer, as well as non-rising energy costs. The method was developed at the turn of 70's and 80's in the USA and has spread to dozens of countries around the world till today, although the rate of the EPC market development differs from country to country. The method is useful mostly for heating, electricity and gas cost savings by the end-users. In the Czech Republic, the method has been used since 1993. Until now, several dozens, or even hundreds of projects have been realized, mostly for public sector customers. This paper analyzes the current state of the EPC method usage around the world as well as in the Czech Republic, the key part comprises of the EPC principles description, based on data from real EPC contracts. The work is concluded by a SWOT analysis of the method and by a discussion of the following question: "Can EPC projects blockade the overall saving potential in some cases?" The key information source for most of the work were answers to questions sent to eight Czech ESCO companies representatives, as well as the outputs from guided interviews with four of them, which were taking place between January and May 2009.
