conversion of biodegradable waste into pollution-free products
PUFR, Josef
This thesis deals with the conversion of biodegradable waste (BDW) into pollution-free products. The introduction addresses the specification of BRO, collection and identification of waste in the catalog and then the main means of transformation. The second part deals with the main objective of the proposal in Chýnov composting. This project involves collecting information, selecting a suitable location, design, technological lines, select the appropriate technical means, but also in the calculations of the composting area and its economic evaluation. Given the need to address this problem in Chýnov, it is likely that this proposal will be based on an actual project.
Analysis of biodegradable communal waste disposal system in the city of Zlín
Přikrylová, Jana ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
This thesis discusses the disposal of the biodegradable communal waste (hereinafter BRKO) in the city of Zlín. In the beginning it introduces the general terms and keywords and legal regulations concerning waste disposal. It mentions environmental effects of the BRKO dump, and also ways of collecting and further treatment of BRKO. The main part of the thesis describes the current BRKO management system in the city of Zlín and based on the projects that have been completed up until now it analyses management efficiency. The thesis shows an expected progression in the total amount of BRKO in the following years due to the new limits placed on BRKO dump by the Plan of Waste Management Program. Based on the collected data, this thesis proposes an optimal solution for waste collection and waste treatment in the city of Zlín and evaluates the environmental and economic benefits of the suggested waste management system.
The design of the production of biogas from fresh grass.
ŽIVNÝ, Jakub
Work is concered with the biogas production from the fresh grass mass, which come up when the grass is being cut on regular basis in the parks and side parts of communities and cities. There is a detailed description of the biogas production defined in the beginning of the Theses in the literature overview. Next, we define the material properties suitable for the biogas production, concerning on the grass mass. In practice, there is a prototype example showing how the biogas station could manipulate the fresh grass mess in real, linked to the harvest line.
Possible utilization of grass material
KOBERNA, Daniel
The objective if this degree work is creating a survey of possible uses of surplus grass material which is caused by animal farming reduction and by bringing the ground in less fertile areas of our country to a standstill. In the work possible uses of the grass are described, especially its use in the energy industry as a fuel source for the production of heat and biogas. Classical usage of the grass material as a food source for livestock or for the production of compost is described here as well. Examples are shown there of energy kinds of grass, which seems to be a promising renewable resource of biomass for favourable economic results. The harvest of the grass material and its consequent prossesing is done by production lines, that is why a survey of such lines and their economic figures connected with the operation of these machines is also included in this work. The economic part of this work contains many formulae that can be used for counting out all the costs connected with the operation of the grass harvest machine and for evaluating the effectiveness of the return on investment into this machine
Possibilities, methods and technological processes of composting biomass
KOPAČKA, Michal
Nowadays maintained areas of greenery are an inseparable part of towns and villages. Public property belonging to the town České Budějovice is necessary to keep also. Problems arise with processing and storing biomass. One possibility of processing biomass is composting. Methods, technological processes and last but not least functional variants of composting components were developed in this paper. The composting components will ensure quality and maximum flexibility of produced compost. The projected technological line will ensure enough capacity for composting biomass in the years to come. The economic evaluation made showed that produced variants of compost are competitive.
Possibilities of utilization grass material.
ŠVARC, Miroslav
At work, there are introduction primary kinds of technology of processing grass material. There are description composting waste, incineration, flash pyrolysis and anaerobic digestion too. At the close, there are introduction possibilities of utilization of biogas.
CHARACTERIZATION OF MICROBIAL POPULATIONS DURING COMPOSTING OF CONTAMINATED SOIL
Petránková, Mirka ; Čechová, Zuzana ; Brennerová, Mária ; Cajthaml, Tomáš
Bioremediation is an indisputably advantageous approach to cleaning up contaminated soils. The efficiency of bioremediation depends on a number of factors, the most important of which are the ability of the bioremediative organism to degrade the target pollutants, the pollutant’s intrinsic properties (aqueous solubility being of key importance), and soil parameters. Composting has been recently shown to be efficient for remediation of soils contaminated e.g. with PAHs
Biologically degradable polymers
Chromcová, D. ; Náhlík, J. ; Šašek, Václav ; Roda, J. ; Brožek, J.
Two types of polymers were prepared and their biodegradability was tested by composting and fungal treatment
Bioavailability of PAH and its effects on biodegradation during composting
Cajthaml, Tomáš ; Hubálek, Tomáš ; Šašek, Václav
The publication deals with application of composting process on remediation of soils contaminated with PAHs. Bioavailability of PAHs was tested with sequential SFE and the data were compared with the results of remediation. SFE is suitable to predict results of bioremediation.
CONTEMPORARY PRACTICE IN DISPOSE OF BIODEGRADABLE WASTE
Šmejkalová, Zuzana ; Geuss, Erik (advisor) ; Havránková, Věra (referee)
This diploma paper deals with contemporary practice in dispose of biodegradable waste, especially biodegradable communal waste (biowaste) in the Czech Republic. It explains fundamental terms, points out relevant legal rules and describes methods of biowaste handling. It evaluates collection and utilization systems in two cities in the way of comparison method. It compares them from cost and benefits (economic, environmental) points of view. The main purpose of the diploma paper is general introduction into the issue, pointing out negative effect of biowaste landfilling and presentation of actual systems of utilization. Also the work points out contemporary trend consisting in raising separation and reducing biodegradable communal waste landfilling.
