There was performed the body mass fractionation according to Matiegka's equations for the analysis of body composition. The completion of first character transformations was examined by aspect assessment (according to Filipin rate), so was examined the quality of posture (methods according to Matthias) and the quality of postural functions (method according to Jaroš and Lomíček). In the case of basic motor skills there was chosen 20 ms run with standing start for the testing of speed capability, for the evaluation of explosive strength abilities was selected jump from the spot with two legs reflection, the testing of explosive strength of the upper limbs was exercised by a ball throw (150 g) by both right and left hand and the evaluation...

This work follows the studies focused on obesity, its global extent and its serious health and economic impact. Nevertheless, the main goal of the thesis is a discussion about priorities of new orientation in the research on the causes of the obesity epidemic and effectiveness of precautions that were taken in many countries and international organizations with the main aim to stop the obesity and its consequences. Two international dimensions of paradigmatic approaches separated to the certain degree can be considered as relevant with regard to the global...
Possibilities of influencing blood pressure by physical activity in children population and adolescents with overweight and obesity
Filouš, Pavel ; Radvanský, Jiří (advisor) ; Máček, Miloš (referee)
The thesis seeks an answer to the question of whether increased physical activity may favorably affect high blood pressure (BP) in children and adolescents with overweight and obesity. The author presents an overview and analysis of important works of scientific literature on the relationship of BP and overweight and about the impact of physical activity on BP in school children with overweight and obesity. Recent findings demonstrate a significant correlation of BP with low physical activity and overweight among youth and ability of regular physical activity to reduce elevated BP in children and adolescents with overweight and obesity. Required range of physical activity is not clearly established, however, it should be greater than the habitual daily load and 60 min. of aerobic physical activity with intensity of 5 - 8 METs is recomended. Author refers to other positive aspects of regular physical activity, higlights the seriousness of the health effects of metabolic syndrome and considers the issue from the social point of view as well. In terms of prevention of overweight and elevated BP in children and adolescents by increased physical aktivity, the author would recomend above all to increase the number of obligatory regular hours of physical education in school children.
