Software requirements engineering and implementation of IS/ICT project requirements

This diploma thesis defines the issue of software requirements engineering and the implementation of software requirement into IS/ICT projects. One of the aims is to highlight the importance of systematic requirements management to successful IS/ICT projects. The theoretical part of thesis includes requirements definition, requirements typology and qualitative parameters of good requirement and actors, that are involved into the process of requirements management. The practical part of this thesis defines the process of requirements management general accepted methodologies of as it is specified in the internationally recognizable methodologies. Author's own contribution is the definition of a methodological process for managing requirements specifications, based on rigorous methodologies and extended to reflect author's practical experience. Methodological approach is tailored to the needs of smaller software companies and small to medium scale IS / ICT projects, and, if necessary, is further extendable. Another practical benefit of this thesis is the recommended methodology for change management requirements. Proposal process is based on the ITIL set of best practices; sub-threads are adapted to be able to meet the change management requirements and the broader business environment infrastructure. This methodology emphasizes an individual approach to the requirement. There is a recommendation of appropriate software tools for development and management requirements support divided into partial ITIL processes.
Design and implementation of the Business Architecture in the segment of providing the real-estate services

In the 21st century is still more and more emphasis laid on the phenomenon of Business Process Management. In a great number of corporations it plays the key role, because it makes the overall performance of the organization more effective and it is able to react flexibly in the rapidly changing environment. The main purpose of this graduation thesis is to get the reader to know the meaning of the notion "business architecture -- its structure and roles in the process management. The main task is to design business architecture of the specific field of business and try to implement it in the real and existent or emerging company subjects, offering the real-estate services. As a result of this, we prove the usefulness of the process management and business architecture as a key factor of reaching the effectivity in dynamic, rapidly changing and competitive environment. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part provides us with methodical data and the practical part with the design of business architecture of a subject, actively operating in the real-estate market. Graphical figures are also the part of the thesis using CABE tool ProVision by Metastorm Corporation.
Software piracy and the methodology of it's investigation

The main objective of this work is to critically evaluate a sufficient portion of the circuit problem of software piracy and to propose solutions of sub-problems, to use the interpretation of all relevant laws and all other available resources and create a comprehensive picture of the case. The practical part should be primarily a manual for ordinary computer users, which should help them. At the same time I present a preview of the methods of the executive law enforcement authority - Police of the Czech Republic, which deals with the investigation of software piracy. Range of the methods used in my work is not wide, which is partly due to reluctance of companies to cooperate because it is a relatively sensitive information, but it fully covers the needs of work and make it possible to have a final vision of the subject.
The analyses of selected travel agency web sites

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the analysis and comparison of web sites of selected travel agencies in the Czech Republic. The thesis is focused on web accessibility and availability from the point of view of disabled users. In the general part there are groups of disabled users described, as well as the web design methodology. In the practical part I have created my own methodology focused on web sites evaluating. It consists of several testing criteria and testing points. Each of the criterions has been assigned a weighting coefficient and each testing point is assessed with a particular number of points. After creating this methodology an analysis of two selected travel agencies in the Czech region follows. In the conclusion there is a comparison of the travel agencies mentioned.

Methodology of implementing new component IS on universities in Czech Republic

Diploma thesis analyzes procedure of implementing new component of information system on universities in Czech Republic. Data were collected with the aid of question-form and complemented by interview on chosen universities. Analyze of implementation is divided into several areas: IS architecture, component cooperation, opening analysis, contractor selection, contract, methodology used, project management, time table, global analysis, verification of data purity, testing, training, documentation and acceptance. General recommendations of implementation new component into information system are made from gained information in chapter 6 and summary of thesis.
Comparison of Web Evaluation Methodologies

The Theme of this thesis is to analyze several web evaluation methods and to compare these methods. The first part of my thesis anatomizes partial views of the web page, seeks their advantages and disadvantages and compares them in term of the possibility of use. In the second part the need of universal web evaluation method is determined. Following the results of both parts the new universal method is designed. This method along with another piaces of knowledge could contribute to solution to the problem of evaluation of web presentations.
Application of ISO standards to software developement

Thesis evaluates ISO standars used for software developement and their relationship to methodologies. It also describes processes according to international standard ISO/IEC 12207 and quality management systems according to ISO 9000. It evaluates also mothodlogy RUP and agile methodollogies. The goal of the thesis to tailor processes related to ISO 9001 to be compliant to the ISO/IEC 12207 in a small company.

The thesis compares main widespread project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2) and Czech methodology tailored for specific turbulent environment in Czech Republic (EPMS). The philosophies, structures and approaches of all project management methodologies are described in this thesis. Main pros and cons of methodologies are briefly shown and important issues of their implementation are described in the thesis. The process-driven approach, which have all methodologies in common, is mapped to demanded processes of ČSN ISO 10006:2004.
