Determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge
Beran, Vojtěch ; Dokoupil, Pavel (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with determination of pressure in the pipe using foil strain gauge. It is calculation of the pressure from the measured strain. The main purpose of this work is devise mathematical-technological models to determinate internal pipe pressure from longitudinal deformation. Devised models were used on data from realized experiment and results were compared with real value of pressures in pipes. This thesis contains three models which were mutually compared. Sensitivity analysis were done on two of these models. Thesis also contains opening research of strain gauge problematics. Description of basic knowledge of physical objects mechanic with focusing on shells also belongs to this theoretical part.
Steel construction greenhouse
Neničková, Lucie ; Štrba, Michal (referee) ; Bajer, Miroslav (advisor)
Aim of the bachelor thesis is to create proposal and static assessment of supporting steel structure of the greenhouse according to the proposed disposition. Climatic load (snow and wind) is determined for location Brno. The thesis consists of technical report with assembling solution, static report of main supporting parts and chosen connections and drawing documentation. Computational model for evaluation of internal forces is realized in Dlubal RSTAB 8.06 software. Static report is created manually according to valid European standards.
Static analysis of joints in timber structures
Řehová, Jana ; Vlk, Zbyněk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis concentrates on the analysis of behaviour of carpentery joints in wooden constructions. Mainly it focues on sloped anchorage and hinges. The seams were analyzed classicaly by their statical influence and normative recommendations. The SCIA Engineer software was used for the analysis of the sloped anchorage.
Proposal of measures for reducing energy demands of food stores
Julinová, Patricie ; Vlach, František (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
The master thesis deals with measures to reduce energy performance of grocery store building. Model of the grocery store is evaluated according to a recommended energy values specified by Czech standards and according to the real values of the actual consumption. These values are compared. Final building analysis for a proposal measures to reduce energy consumption is based on the invoices of the real consumption and on the experimental assignments. Experimental measurements are the Blower door test of the tightness of the building envelope, the measures with the thermovision camera and the measuring of the illumination intensity. The most efficient proposal is extended to the whole model network of the food shops in the Czech Republic.
Mechatronic Approach to Vehicle Dynamics
Kučera, Pavel ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Havlíček, Miroslav (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This theses deals with mechatronic approach to a vehicle dynamics. It is divided into two main parts. There are prepared vibration analysis, measurement and analysis of functions of truck powertrain in the first part. The second part describes the creation of computational models allowing to simulate driving conditions, vibrations of the vehicle and its extension for the development of mechatronic systems. There are shown different driving modes to control created algorithm of mechatronic system. The main tool for the development of mechatronic systems is the created simulator of vehicle enabling testing of computational models in real time.
Intake Manifold for Single-cylinder Engine
Pavličík, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a thermodynamic computational model of a single cylinder IC engine for the Formula SAE car. The single cylinder SI engine KTM 500 EXC is considered as a powertrain unit. The intake manifold of the serial enduro motorcycle is modified according to the Formula SAE 2014 rules. Analysis of the one dimensional flow is performed by using Lotus engine simulation software.
Torsional stiffness of Formula Student frame
Jurnečka, Ladislav ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with detection of torsional stiffness with using photogrammetric equipment TRITOP device and subsequent comparison with created computational model in FEM software. Measurement and calculations were accomplished according to tutorials, which are the most effective and giving the most accurate results. Next the optional method of measurement of torsional stiffness in practice is formed for future formula series called Dragon. The reasons of different results and suggestion of optimalization are sum up in the end of the thesis.
Verification of the model for predicting the properties of the combustion process
Horsák, Jan ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work thoroughly analyzes a previously created computational model for predicting characteristic properties of the combustion process in an experimental combustion chamber. Any found shortcomings of the original model are removed and the model is further improved prior to its application on 11 real cases of combustion tests performed at various conditions and with various fuels. Data provided by the model are confronted with the data obtained during the combustion tests and the model accuracy is evaluated, based on local heat flux along the length of the combustion chamber. Finally, the overall usefulness of the model is determined by the means of evaluating the acquired accuracy values, and further possibilities of model improvement and use are presented.
Uehara cycle
Soška, Michal ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This Diploma thesis describes design of the computational model of Uehara power cycle, with ammonia-water mixture used as working fluid. First part is dedicated to issue of determination working mixture thermodynamic properties, which are essential for computational model design. The second part of this thesis describes the methodology of computing power cycle by system matrix solving method. For purposes of methodology testing, model of Kalina power cycle was also created. Computational models of Uehara and Kalina cycles are designed in Excel and are an integral part of this thesis. Text part also includes a description of their user interface, calculation algorithm and detailed description of the design methodology.
Numerical Model of Engine Control Unit
Křepelka, Jan ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with issues of controlling the amount of fuel injected by the control unit. Model of four-cylinder engine and computational model of control unit were constructed in the simulation software Lotus Engine Simulation. Then was made model checking of the control unit by simulation two transients (acceleration and shifting). In conclusion was made application a created model on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) and appropriately evaluated and processed the results of this simulation.
