Temperature controller of microwave reactor
Pokorný, Ondřej ; Chomát, Luděk (referee) ; Pivoňka, Petr (advisor)
Simple low-cost temperature feedback control loop was created, using personal computer as control and data acquisition element. It controlled the temperature inside mircowave pressure reactor. Medium in reactor tank (volume about 600 ml) was calorified by 1,8 kW magnetron, which power was driven by PSD controller. The PC- process interface was made by USB data acquisition modul UD128A8D. The utility program was written. It implemented PSD controller and data acquisition function. Furhtermore it implemented interface which enabled user to set the technological curve (time-temperature relation). The protocol of experiment was automatically stored to Micosoft Excel file before the program’s termination.

Analysis and design of information system for Balony.cz company
Pechanec, Eugen ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Chlapek, Dušan (referee)
The subject of bachelor's thesis "Analysis and design of information system for Balony.cz com-pany" is analysis of ERP system of a firm providing commercial flight tours using hot-air balloons. This system in its current state does not fulfill its purpose effectively and needs to be replaced by a better version. Design of this version is also the subject of this thesis. In the theoretical part I focus on terms such as Information system and Business informatics and problematic of information system design methodologies. In practical part I use gained information to find a suitable methodology for development of the new system and then I proceed to analyze the current system and design its replacement.
Optimalizace procesu návrhu produktu v malé firmě
Jerkovič, Martin ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mittner, Jan (referee)
Thesis deals with design process optimization at Chute Corporation -- american startup that provides SaaS solutions for discovery, gathering, managing, publishing and analysis of multimedial user-generated content from social networks. The goal is to identify and analyze the processes, roles and tools of product design and propose an optimization. Thesis has two parts. First part describes the theoretical background for later application. Mainly a brief history of IT product design, design taxonomy and design workflow best practices are described. The other part provides a brief description of the company, especially its position on the market, business model, organizational structure, product portfolio, position of product team and also identifies the main processes, roles and tools that surround product design. The final part describes all optimized processes, roles and tools and summarizes all the facts as a set of recommendations. Thesis provides an overview of product design in the dynamic and complex world of startups. The specific recommendations and templates of optimized processes and tools enable immediate implementation into a company of a similar nature.
Modern Java frameworks for front-end of web applications
Jahoda, Lukáš ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mittner, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of selected frameworks for the development of modern web applications on the Java platform focusing on the front-end. The work is complemented by well-chosen source code examples that help the reader to create one's own view of the frameworks and it can also server as a tutorial. Introductory section focuses on the trends of modern web applications, especially on the front-end. It affects themes such as support for mobile devices, AJAX or responsive design of user interface. There are also introduced the latest technology on the front-end including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery library and dynamic language LESS whose main objective is the simplification, shortening and making cascading style sheets more dynamic. The output of this section: General LESS template is freely available and it can be applied to emerging projects. For the analysis there has been created static registration form on which there are applied frameworks Apache Wicket and Spring MVC with template engine Freemarker. In terms of analysis were chosen following points: the basic structure of the project, the application of static templates, external JavaScript / jQuery library, internalization, application of the form, submitting the form and validation of the input fields. The points were discussed in detail, especially in terms of implementation of both analysed frameworks. The outputs of the analysis are freely available structures of the projects and both of the resulting applications.
User Interface Design Web Applications
Vilémová, Eva ; Kincl, Tomáš (advisor) ; Novák, Michal (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of user interface design. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the concept of the user interface, its types and terms of user interface including defining basic needs of the user related to this interface. Furthermore, this thesis introduce to reader concept of Human Computer Interaction and presents the basic rules and procedures of creating the user interface. These rules and procedures are in practical part applied to the specific user interface design of web application for benchmarking comparison of particular regions tourism strategies. Final result of this bachelor thesis is specific tested user interface on which bases are submitted final recommendations for creating ideal user interface for this application.
Creating and managing online translation agency
Matoušek, Ondřej ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Šubrta, Václav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to carry out a business process model and user interface of an online translation agency that is capable of competition on a global marketplace. The business process model has been designed through analysing the main competitors and modifying their approach and mechanisms. The user interface has been created using and implementing time-proven principles of graphic design. The main result of this thesis is a functioning and competitive business process model of an online translation agency.
Analysis framework for developing cross-platform mobile applications using HTML technology.
Voldřich, Martin ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Hrubý, Jan (referee)
The aim of the master thesis is to assess frameworks that are used for development of multiplatform cell phone applications supported by HTML technology. The theoretical part is focused to current market analysis, mobile access issues and the issue of difficulties in specific cases of their application. Analysis is followed by choice of evaluation criteria for setting the most appropriate architecture. Selected evaluation criteria will be used as a tool for detecting of the optimal technology's possibility, which is the most appropriate possibility for development of basic cell phones applications. The practical part is focused to choosing of new evaluation criteria, which helps to create specific questionnaire research. The confirmation or refuse of the hypothesis set up the level of criteria's severity. Based on criteria there will be selected and analysed six of the most used hybrid frameworks. Two of the frameworks with the highest ratings will be tested by real basic cell phone application. The conclusion of the thesis will be follow up by tested frameworks. The frameworks will be described and measured by the author's development experiences.
Spatial data for retail business
Kalus, Vilém ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
The specialization of the final master thesis is theory and a practical view of Location Intelligence. The author is writing about specific parts of development of the application which is focused on analysis of consumer's behaviour for managers of retail businesses focused on customer's satisfaction. The application is a new way of researching consumer's behaviour. Spatial data is connected with the subject of research -- analysis of the movement of consumers in retail stores. The application is a practical tool for better targeting for managers or marketing specialists. The app was developed by four researcher Martin Matějka, Tomáš Rosenberger, Vilém Kalus (three diploma researchers) and Ondřej Funiok. The Main goal of the final thesis was to describe the application from the business point of view and to design layout of the user interface. The business model helped us to specify the application from the business point of view. We reached the main goal with research articles of Location Intelligence. The thesis contains theory basis of informatics and geo-informatics field, Business Intelligence, Location Intelligence and selected business models. The practical part of the thesis is composed of integrating application to the business model, functionality description. From functionality description we designed the user interface. The practical part closes with the use case of application in Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze. Benefits of the thesis are in development of real, new application for future commercial use. Contribution to the theory of Location Intelligence and analytical solution of development of user interface.
