Master’s thesis contains description parameters of microcontroller ATMEGA644P, also contains differences between older and newer version of microcontrollers ATMEGA644 and ATMEGA644PA. Inside structure of microcontroller, memories and peripherals are described here. The construction of the universal microcontroller unit is main target of this thesis. The unit contains supply, A/D converter, current loop, communication interfaces, temperature sensor, accelerometer and other. The unit collects and saves data, communicates by interfaces and manages other functions. Using devices and circuits are described in this thesis. Development of software for microcontroller(firmware) are positioned to last part of this thesis. This software control functions of all parts positioned on the unit.
Aplication of modern temperature sensors with microprocessor AVR
Hána, Jan ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This thermometer is based on integrated temperature senzor SMT 160–30, it is destined for temperature measurement in household or in industrial application where we do not need to know the precision temperature. Measured data are displayed on LCD and currently transmitted with RS232 up to PC, where it can be computerized.
Temperature monitoring unit
Martínek, Jaroslav ; Kovář, Jan (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
Content of the Bachelor Thesis covers design and realisation of an unit for multipoint temperature measuring in cooling and freezing equipments in food stores and shops. As a controlling microcomputer is used an Atmel ATMega128, temperature sensors are realised by DS18S20 digital thermometers, connected via 1-wire bus. Unit can read temperature from 32 temperature sensors, includes memory for measured data, real time clock, Ethernet interface and display with buttons for basic user control. Temperatures are measured periodically with user defined interval, values are stored into internal memory and showed on display. Measured data can also be transferred via Ethernet to clinent PC, where can be viewed in form of table and graphs.
Erors and Uncertainties in Temperature Measurement
Jirmásek, Jakub ; Vojáček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on sources of temperature measurement uncertainties and their expressing. There is a basic description of the temperature as a physical quantity and its scale. The study describes some kinds of thermometers, focusing primarily on electric thermometers which have a dominant position in the field of automation and regulation. Further the importance of measurement uncertainty is described and its expressing. More space is devoted to the importance of different sources of uncertainty and possible compensation. Finally there is an example of determining the measurement uncertainty.
Temperature measurement
Brzobohatý, Lukáš ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
ABSTRACT Brzobohatý Lukáš: Temperature measurement The work presents a comprehensive overview of measurements of one of the basic state function determining the state of matter - the temperature. It deals with development of temperature scales, units and measuring devices. Temperature measurement is divided into two basic ways - contact and non-contact method. Contact measuring devices emphasis on thermocouples because of their indispensability in all industries. Non-contact temperature measurement is most developing method. This corresponds to the devices development, which is determined by the rapid computer technology development.
Calibration of temperature sensors
Záboj, Jakub ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
How the change of temperature works on physical properties of substance and materials is described in this bachelor’s thesis. Historical development of thermometers and measuring of temperature that goes to the standard temperature scale. There is summary of today's ther-mometers and their detailed descriptions. Select calibrators follow as an instrument for check and calibration temperature sensors (thermome-ters). For example there is described calibration of thermocouple, where we put at their self - characteristics of thermocouple. The most frequen-cies mistakes during calibration are summered there and also description between different calibrations methods finally.
Temperature Measurement in Technical Diagnostics
Szmek, Tomáš ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to familiarize a reader with possibilities of temperature measurement along with constructions and functions of particular measuring instruments and to present their positive and negative aspects. Both basic contact thermometers used in common life and complex systems (thermovision) employed in the most demanding industrial application are described here. The thesis depicts temperature as a diagnostic value according to which the causes of machinery failures are easily detected and subsequent accidents prevented.
Temperature Measurement with Microcontroller Aid
Harčár, František ; Holý, Miroslav (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
The thesis focuses on possibilities how to use inexpensive microcontrollers for temperature measurement. The designed module is appropriate both for laboratory curriculum, as well as for application in automation industry. A brief introduction is followed by a general explanation of the notion „measurement“ and a measurement history overview. Afterwards, there is a focus on history and development of temperature measurement and types of applied sensors. Conseguently, there is the thesis itself , its description, principles, connection schneme and measurement methodology. Finally, the thesis regards its commitment and findings.
Development of mobile flowmeter
DITRICH, Vít
This thesis contains the description of well-known methods and principles dealing with the measurement of the flow-velocity of fluids. Furthermore, it contains the description of the development of the mobile flow-meter, including the realization and the technical description of the device. The thesis describes the advantages and disadvantages of the above mentioned flow-meter. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to the calibration of the device and to the possible practical use of the flow-meter.
Monitoring of body temperature problems in health care in the ICU and ARD
TŮMOVÁ, Pavlína
Monitoring of physiological functions is one of the most important nursing treatments practised at Intensive Care Units or Anaesthetic Resuscitation Departments . Following up of body temperature belongs among the physiological functions monitored at the intensive care whereas the temperature?s duly measured results represent an unsustainable component in order to determine diagnosis and subsequent prognosis. It was the Bachelor Thesis objective to discover how well nurses orientate themselves in the problem area of body temperature monitoring. A research investigation was performed applying a quantitative method. The investigative file was created by generally trained nurses who work at ICUs and ARDs in six medical facilities of West Bohemian Region. In total 150 questionnaires were distributed after the research investigation had been approved by head nurses or managing nurses for attending care. Total number of duly filled questionnaires was 120 ones which were processed and thus this number was stated as 100 %. It resulted from nurses? answers in the questionnaires they perceived the body temperature measuring as automatic, routine part of their daily work at which technical skill, ability of every nurse and knowledge how to handle particular tools or aids are important prerequisites. The first goal was set to find out whether nurses understand the importance of correct monitoring of body temperature at ARDs and JCUs. The nurses indicated right values of body temperature and any ups and downs weren?t indifferent to them. It was the second goal to understand measuring techniques the nurses apply, which was fulfilled and the result thereof was reflected in the theoretical part in which all techniques of measurements are described. The third goal was to discover an availability of suitable tools and aids to monitor the body temperature. The fourth goal was set to find out whether nurses dispose of an elaborated standard to monitor the body temperature. The fifth goal was to discover whether nurses were able to use accurately any available tools and aids for body temperature monitoring. The above goals were met. The last, sixth goal was to find out if nurses were supported by their managements at purchasing new tools and aids. It was found out the nurses needed motivation to attend lectures aimed at the theme of body temperature monitoring and if those lectures would be prepared in an interesting way they will benefit from.
