Russian position in the international trade and its influence on real economy

International trade and competitiveness of domestic producers on the international market are very important factors for a further economic development. Country's trade structure determines its resistance to external shocks, which threaten domestic economy. Diversification gains a lot in importance lately. The existence of more industries, which are able to withstand tough competition with foreign firms is a cornerstone of economic development. Diversification is a key determinant for Russian economy due to a greater dependency on the export of raw materials, especially crude oil. These macroeconomic links can be shown by different econometric tools. Problems with excessive dependency on oil export can be detected by means of empiric analysis.
Analysis of the Economic development and the subsequent comparison of the BRICS countries

The diploma thesis is focused on the analyses of the Economic development and the subsequent comparison of the BRICS countries. The thesis is especially focused on Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The first chapter is dedicated to characterization of the BRICS countries. The second chapter deals with the basic characteristics of the BRICS countries. Next chapters are focused on PEST analysis of these concrete countries. The third chapter deals with political and legal environment. Moreover, the fourth chapter focuses on the economic analysis of these countries. The aim of the fifth chapter is an analysis of technological development of the BRICS countries and their mutual comparison. Finally, last chapter is focused on the evaluation of concrete markets using SWOT analysis.
Trade relations between Russian Federation and the EU

The given thesis is devoted to an area that is crucial for today's economic world and to Europe - it is the mutual relations between Russia and the EU. The aim of this work is based on an analysis of the current state to identify opportunities for developing mutual trade. This objective is conditional partial objective, which is to develop a thorough analysis of the current situation. From a methodological point of view the focus of thesis is aimed at statistical indicators and a literature review of scientific literature that directly relates to certain issues. Statistical indicators are taken from official authorities. Thesis also obtains areas for interoperability, which have a large space for the development of relations, both simple export-import operation, as well as long-term effect on the market.
Economic Interdependence and Peace

This thesis deals with the theory of economic interdependence. It is based on the realistic approach which states that high levels of mutual trade lead to a conflict. This hypothesis is being tested on the Russia-Ukraine conflict that erupted by the end of 2013. Additionally, the thesis examines whether the conflict is caused by economic or rather political-related incentives. The theoretical part consists of realistic and liberalistic approaches towards economic interdependence. The empirical part of the study deals with the analysis of Russian and Ukrainian economy and relations between Russia, Ukraine and the European Union. The last chapter is dedicated to the comparison of the war in Georgia with the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Shanghai organization for cooperation

This thesis is about the development and prospects of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Shanghai Cooperation Organization can play an important role in the development of Asia. There is a possibility that the organization will be able to solve the region's major problems, such as security issues, large differences in the level of economic development of the countries and the issues associated with infrastructure, especially in energy and transport. But it is not clear enough how the further development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will go. The purpose of this work is to understand the current situation within the organization and to analyze the current conditions of the member states for further development. Another objective is to determine the perspective organization based on the analysis. Work will focus on current economic, cultural and military relations between the participating countries.
Ukrainian crisis 2014 and possible international consequences

The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of Ukrainian crisis, which began in late 2013 by demonstrations in Kiev and during 2014 escalated into the war in the Eastern Ukraine. The aim is to analyze certain aspects and presumptions of the crisis and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The first part of thesis focuses on the historical aspect of the crisis -- since the beginning of the formation of the Ukrainian state to modern history and also on the aspect of internal politics and the persisting problem of oligarchy. The second part of thesis aims to introduce the particular incidents of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as it has happened so far, and resulting consequences that has affected not only the countries directly involved in the conflict, but also the entire international community.
Integration of Muslim minorities in comparative perspective

The objective of this thesis is to evaluate Russia's integration policy towards Muslim minority. The thesis presents the basic aspects of Russian integration policy to the readers and analyzes the main problems related to the coexistence of the Russian society and Muslim community. The main problems, which are discussed, are religious legislation, the involvement of Muslims in politics, the issue of education, building mosques. Work is primarily devoted to religious identity of Muslims. Analysis of the mentioned problems shows that Russian religious policy is not yet formed completely. The current integration policy of the Russian government is still quite successful.
The issue of international road transport between the Czech Republic and Russia

This Master's thesis deals with the conditions and limitations in performing the services of international road transport carrier. Its aim is to summarize the most important international agreements, valid in this area, and also the most important restrictions imposed on the carrier, the transport vehicle and the drivers, who operate there. Using the example of a small carrier, it will be demonstrated their use in the transportation of cargo between Czech Republic and Russia. At the end, there will be identified the most fundamental problem areas and their possible solution.
USA as a Global Superpower and its Position in the 21th Century

This thesis is dealing with the analysis of American attributes of power which formed the USA as a superpower and has influenced the world politics in the 21st century. Hypothesis that the USA is still a superpower on the beginning of the 21st century was confirmed in six chapters. The first part of the diploma thesis presents theoretical and methodological bases, history and development of the United States and its rise to superpower status after the Second World War. The second part of the thesis, the last three chapters which are dealing with current American foreign policy and its relations with other important states and regions, proved the expected results of the hypothesis. Therefore the result of the thesis is that the United States still maintains its leading position of the global superpower despite of its relative political and economic weakness in the recent years.
Unilateralism vs. Multilateralism: Russia and Brazil in Comparison

The main goal of the following paper is to compare the trade policies of Brazil and the Russian Federation, analysing their insertion in global value chains. Briefly, it is argued that both countries follow a three-track strategy in international trade. Brazil focuses its efforts on the multilateral, regional and bilateral levels, especially with developing and emerging countries. Russia also focuses on the multilateral and regional levels, but the third pillar of its strategy is a "Look East", towards the more dynamic markets of today's global economy.
