Controlled dehumidification in summer season
Voleš, Jakub ; Ell, Jiří (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design and the assessment of two variants of existing HVAC system, that serves the microelectronic laboratory premises of GL Electronic company, which are situated in JIC INMEC center. The aim of the designing process is to find the optimal solution of the problem, which is concerned of excessive air humidity gains in the clean rooms. The first proposed approach is the installation of controlled dehumidification in the form of direct cooling into the yet existing device. The second considered approach is a complete deconstruction of implemented air conditioning unit and subsequent reinstalling of the brand new unit, which would meet all the requirements. Both two variants will be in the beginning outlined in a form of pre-study, selected option will be later on processed as project documentation for construction. The winning solution will be designed in the way that will satisfie the criteria of hygiene, function, and economy. The next section of the text will be dedicated to the research regarding the topic of the physical nature of air humidity, of the transportation of humidity, dehumidification of the space, also. Last but not least, the heat recovery efficiency will be measured (in the form of thermal glycol tubes). The experiment provides evidence of the system's real-time performance.
Evaluation of Construction Project from aspect of Whole Life Costs
Foitlová, Lucie ; Holá, Michaela (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
The theoretical part deals at the beginning with evaluation of effectiveness of the project, as well as with the information about individual stages of the life cycle of the building, wear and tear of the buildings, lifetime of the elements and whole life costs of the building that are of particular interest to the investor. In conclusion, there are mentioned wastes and emissions. The thesis is completed by a case study of the family house where the whole life costs of the building life cycle are solved.
Economic Advantages and Disadvantages of Passive Houses in the Czech Republic and the European Union
PETRŮ, Zlatuše
Subject of this thesis - Economic advantages and disadvantages of passive houses in the Czech Republic and the EU - is very topical with regards to building boom and the environment and related issues of energy-saving housing. Comparison of economic advantages and disadvantages between passive houses and low-energy buildings is also interesting considering connection modern, comfortable and environmentallyeffective housing. Reducing the energy performance of buildings is currently a fundamental trend and an opportunity for the future, either for individuals as well as for society. It is the result of international legislation dealing with the energy performance of buildings, which is addressed by Directive 2002/91 / EC of the European Parliament and Council of the energy performance buildings. The main target of the practical part of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the return on investment in passive and low energy houses. The starting point of the calculation is the specific energy consumption for each type of house that is defined by the standard. The main benefit of this work is a finding based on the annual operating costs, which combined with the amount of the initial investment was calculated by the return on investment. This is 19 years for passive houses, which is lower than for low energy houses (28 years). This difference is influenced by the two main factors, namely the "Green Savings" subsidy for passive houses and the energy efficiency of passive houses. The calculation has taken into account the current and constant energy prices. It can be assumed that energy prices will rise in the future, making the investment return differential between passive and low-energy houses even more pronounced. The results of the return on investment are also consistent with those reported by different suppliers and developers.
Assessing the Return on Investment in a Passive and Standard House
Krus, Tomáš ; Křivánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Hlavinková, Vítězslava (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to compare economic investment in passive houses and conventional construction of a house. Furthermore, this thesis is focused on introducing problematics connected to construction of passive house, main characteristics, differences in used materials including review of advantages and disadvantages of their implementation. Assessment is based on return ability of initial investments generated by lowering operational costs. Main part of this thesis is aimed on compression of costs both before and in use of a house.
Analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts on the territory of the capital city of Prague
Štrobachová, Eva ; Marková, Jana (advisor) ; Bříza, Kamil (referee)
TITLE: Analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts on the territory of the capital city of Prague. AUTHOR: Eva Štrobachová ABSTRACT: In my final paper I focused on the analysis of operating costs in primary schools according to the details of selected metropolitan districts between 2008 and 2010. The theoretical part introduces and describes the status of education within the public sector, defines the concept of an organization receiving contributions from the State budget and describes the way of financing the organization by its founder. It also mentions the relevant laws. Attention is paid to the question of establishing criteria of rationality of costs for submitting proposals of operating budget by school directors to the founder. The aim of this bachelor's paper is to compare the structure of operating costs in primary schools, monitoring of the indicators, the procedure and system of distributing contributions from the founder of the schools as well as to suggest possible solutions leading to a higher effectiveness of drawing up operating budgets of primary schools. The findings can be used both by the school directors for developing their management skills in school management as well as by the founder for methodological management of...
Alternative design of the Dětkovice sewer network
Vrána, Radek ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)

In the next part the thesis deals with describe of current condition and proposed alternative designs. Furthermore, the economic assessment of alternative designs is elaborate.
Cost analysis and evaluation of a bus line in regional transportation
Rypák, Tomáš ; Grund, David (referee) ; Libertín, Josef (advisor)
This diploma thesis deal with analysis and evaluation of the operating costs of bus line no. 107 with emphasis of fuel costs. The first part is devoted to the history, formation of bus transport, foundation of selected bus company and current status. The second part deals with the selected bus line no. 107. The third part is devoted to analysis of operating costs. The last part proposes measures for eliminating the costs of fuel consumption.
Cost optimization of the operational phase of buildings
Kleinerová, Jana ; Dostál, Jan (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The thesis discusses the operating costs and the possibilities for their optimization. Specifically, it focuses on one of the greatest possible operating costs and it's heating costs. In the first part of the thesis are defined in general expenses, the price and the production, operating costs, optimization of these costs, life cycle of buildings and technological methods to improve the thermal and technical properties of the object. Finally, the theoretical part describes the terms for calculating the energy performance of the building and the payback period, which evaluates the effectiveness of investments. The practical part is assessed according to specific building energy performance, and especially in terms of its demand for heating. The building is designed for six variants of insulation, which is again judged on their energy performance. Subsequently these measures for better thermal insulating properties of the object assessed according to their cost efficiency and return on investment of individual variants.
Cost analysis of the building and their coverage
Barchánková, Vendula ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the given topic " Cost analysis of the building and their coverage" and to show an analyze of selected the life cycle phases on a specific example. The paper also solved ways of financing options especially financing via grants. At the end of work I deal with the recommendations of choosing a suitable grant title for the financing of new construction or reconstruction nursery schools.
Life Cycle Costs of Property Owned by the City

The master thesis focuses on problems connected with the life cycle cost of property owned by the city. It analyses general issues of the life cycle cost of construction, but it mainly analyses the ways in which local authorities manage their properties and their cost. Those methods are applied in a case study, that addresses the cost and management of swimming pool sites which are owned by the city Brno.
