Trends in manufacturing of non-permanent wax patterns in investment casting technology
Halaška, Jan ; Šmatelka, Jakub (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis describes the most used wax blends and equipment for manufactory of sophisticated castings. The thesis includes two major sections and these are wax blends and wax patterns. The aim of this thesis is to develop a literary review focused on the most advanced equipment and raw materials used in the investment casting technology with a focus on the manufactory of wax pattern.
Implementation of investment casting technology in the company ZPS Slévárna, a.s.
Slovák, Vojtěch ; Pacola, David (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of introducing Full Mold technology in specific conditions of production in foundry environment. The emphasis is placed on the least possible intervention with to established manufacturing process. The work also aims, through the comparison of the specific test castings, to map the weaknesses of this technology in the company and create possible optimization or complete removal of this weaknesses.
Assessment of the Financial Situation of a Company Using Statistical Methods
Otýpka, David ; Jachan, Oldřich (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the current financial situation of the firm DSB EURO s.r.o. Master's thesis is focused on using statistical tools, time series and regression analysis, as an effective tool for assessing enterprise characteristics, especially economic indicators. The aim of this work is to analyze economic data, using regression analysis to assess prognosis and to draw conclusions, which should serve the company for a stable and economic growth.
Possibilities of using modern methods in manufacturing of prototype castings
Vašek, Vojtěch ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Rapid Prototyping technologies are an important part of the industry. They allow reducing the time between the demand and the crafted prototype component. The main aim of these theses is to create a literature survey, focused on the application of these technologies in the foundry industry in the production of prototype castings.
Possibilities of using filtration in lost wax technology
Boček, Vítězslav ; Soukupová, Lucie (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
Final thesis, elaborated within the bachelor study field of Manufacturing technology, deals with literary analysis of using filtration in lost wax technology and with designing of best gating system for those filters. As result of this thesis the best criteria for choosing the best filter for aplication in lost wax casting and literary study maping possibilities of locating those filters in gating system was compiled.
Historical development of steel manufacturing processes from the Middle Ages
Závodná, Marie ; Pešek, Jakub (referee) ; Šenberger, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis was written during my bachelor studies of mechanical technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Brno. The topic was processed on the basis of professional literature and accessible web servers, which deal with the linear analysis of steel production principles since the Middle Ages and with theis sues of steel reduction and oxidation processes. Contemporary modern steel fabrication procedures are based on simile principles to those which have been used fort hefabrication of steel since thediscovery of iron.
Actual trends in manufacture of permanent patterns
Benda, Tomáš ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create an overview of different methods for making permanent models. According to the type of materials the models are divided into the wooden, the metallic, the plastic and the models made from the resin. Further, certain methods Rapid prototyping are described here. The thesis is completed with visual documentation.
Use of numerical simulation for reduction of scrap from Al alloys
Doležal, Petr ; Lána, Ivo (referee) ; Krutiš, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of current simulation software and their use in technical practice. The aim of the thesis is to describe the process of the simulation; summarise the required initial parameters of the cast in order to achieve a credible simulation, and to describe the possibilities of the use of simulation software in the area of casting defect prediction. This theoretical analysis is applied on a specific cast, which is subject to a simulation trying to find an ideal inflow system, as well as predicting the formation of possible defects. The accuracy of this simulation will be proved by analysing an actual cast product.
Use of aluminium and its alloys in foundry industry
Laštovica, Petr ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Staňková, Markéta (advisor)
This bachelor work is focused on description of characteristics and uses of aluminium and its alloys in foundry industry. The author briefly focuses with technical pure aluminium, and then describes the characteristics, distribution and technology of aluminium alloys. After the basic characteristics of all major aluminium casting alloys, the author mentions the use of aluminium alloys in a variety of industrial sectors.
An overview of advanced rapid prototyping techniques and their use in foundry industry
Drda, Jan ; Stachovec, Ivo (referee) ; Macků, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with overview of Rapid Prototyping techniques and their application at foundry industry. It’s split into three parts. In the first part is shown whole process that leads to prototype creation with rapid prototyping techniques. Second part shows overview of techniques which are used around the world. It’s split into three smaller parts that shows basic allocation between techniques and there are main specifications, advantages, disadvantages and application. The last part is summary of current situation in Czech Republic and there is practical example of application Rapid Prototyping techniques at manufacturing.
