Present state of investment casting technology

This bachelor’s thesis describes investment casting process in each phases of manufacturing the final casting i.e. from master die, wax pattern, ceramic shell, dewaxing process, metal pouring up to finishing operations and final casting inspection. This work is focused on the latest trends in these areas.

The Bachelor’s thesis deals with the latest trends in investment casting technology, from wax pattern manufacture, ceramic shell manufacture, de-waxing, shell heat treatment up to metal pouring and finishing operation. In the first part, the outline of the world production and the usage of investment castings nowadays are introduced. The other parts of the project include the basic technique of using new technologies. The aim of this work is developing a literature search focused on the most modern equipment and raw materials that are used in investment casting technology and testing of wax mixtures and ceramic slurries.
Investment casting technology - overview of cast materials

The bachelor´s thesis deals with investment casting technology and overview of cast materials. In fist section deals with production. From the wax model, applying and curing the shell up to the actual casting and finishing operations. The second part is often drawn up a general overview of cast materials, which includes ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The aim is to develop research describing investment casting method with a general overview of cast materials. A summary of their properties and their use in practice.
Optimization of manufacture of aluminium castings by using lost wax technology

Diploma thesis is focused to the optimization of the ceramic shell for pouring thin walled aluminium castings by investment casting technology. The main objective is firstly to find the optimal binding system (ceramic slurry) and stucco materials for the shell and secondly its optimal structure and heat treatment (drying of each coat and final shell firing) before metal pouring.
Actual trends in manufacturing of ceramic shell moulds

Final thesis deals with the properties and production of ceramic shell moulds for investment casting method. Literature search focuses on the core of the production this mould used for ceramic and refractory slurry spreading. Attention is also paid to the technology of its production, testing ceramic shell mould and defects caused by improper manufacturing process forms. Another part of the work is focused on current trends in the production of ceramic shell moulds. The last part describes the production of ceramic shell mould in the company Česká zbrojovka. The conclusion summarizes information of production and the recommended choice of materials and manufacturing processes for ceramic shell moulds for the issue.
Possibilities of using filtration in lost wax technology

Final thesis, elaborated within the bachelor study field of Manufacturing technology, deals with literary analysis of using filtration in lost wax technology and with designing of best gating system for those filters. As result of this thesis the best criteria for choosing the best filter for aplication in lost wax casting and literary study maping possibilities of locating those filters in gating system was compiled.

Child in a Family with Cumulated Problems, situation Evaluation and Care Planning, Role and Competence of NGO

This bachelor's thesis occupies with evaluation of a child's situation in a family facing cumulated problems and also with methods and procedures of these evaluations being mostly used in Czech Republic. The evaluation process itself is described from the point of view of a non-profit association STŘEP's social field worker dealing with a specific family. The thesis describes related rules of the work with this family and consequent evaluation of obtained data for further support of the family among other involved social organizations. The aim of this work is to describe the evaluation process of endangered child in family in the frame of multidisciplinary cooperation. The evaluation process itself is described from the point of view of nonprofit organization's field worker, who works with related client's family. It describes the rules of social work with multiproblem family starting from initial introduction of the family and involved experts up to the evaluation process which makes base for further plans of the work among the family and all involved multidisciplinary organizations. Academic development of students with learning disability at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences
The topic of this thesis is the academic development of students with specific learning disabilities (SLD) at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, specifically at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. The thesis is mainly concerned with the analysis of individual study programmes and fields in the context of the study specification demands, the results of which will be used in the research of the GA JU project implemented by the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Education. The introduction of the theoretical part describes the current state of knowledge about the problems of specific learning disorders. First, the basic concepts and the divisions of learning disorders according to the affected area are defined. Then, the etiology of specific learning disabilities is presented, followed by a chapter focused on symptoms of learning disabilities, diagnosis and reeducation. The next chapter is focused on the adult, his / her development in biological and psychological terms. Diagnostics and re-education in adulthood are also presented in this chapter. In the theoretical part, attention is also paid to the education of individuals with specific learning disabilities in secondary school and university. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to universities in general, then to the University of South Bohemia and the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences itself. The aim of the practical part is to analyze all study programmes that can currently be studied at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in full-time study. Individual subjects taught in the given study programme will be the core of the analysis. The criteria will be pre-defined in order to determine the level of study demands.
