Financial Crisis and its Impact on Exchange Transactions

This thesis presents market stock trading focused on analysis of financial crisis which falls on world's biggest exchange stocks and strategy of trading for a small investor. In the first part of this thesis will be explained priciples of trading on stock markets with modern trading business platformes. I explain economic conections and economy cycles which influence development of financial markets. In second part of thesis I analyse financial crisis fall on stock markets, indexis, commodities (gold, silver, brend crude oil) and currency markets (forex). I appreciate situation in Czech republik and course of czech index PX. Important role has a fundamental and technical analysis. I will analyse and descript modern trends of this business.
Importance of the concept - Fair Trade for developing countries

In this Bachelor thesis, I describe the formation and origin of the Fair Trade movement, way in which it operates, aspects which it brings on the market and the basic characteristics of trade with the most important Fairtrade commodities. Firstly, I focus on the general identification of kinds of products included in Fair Trade and afterwards I characterize the fair trading of four most significant crops among all: coffee, bananas, cocoa and cotton. Objective of the thesis is above all to create an image defining the present situation at three different Fair Trade markets: in the United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Slovakia. From the general outline of success of the movement in the world I continue with deeper detailing of above mentioned markets. From this definition I deduce particularities of Fair Trade performance in each country. Furthermore, I analyze the causes of the exact situation on every market. From the discovered indications I evaluate, if further development of the concept on those markets would be meaningful also in the future and what should be improved for its better effectiveness. In conclusion I briefly analyze the general conditions needed for successful implementation of Fair Trade.
Commodity markets and the impacts of price development on the consumer price of goods

The essay focuses on commodities and price development on the exchange, studies the impact of this on the consumer's prices of goods. It includes main factors influencing the price development of commodity on the exchange, the wheat was choosed as a representative commodity. The first part of the thesis is about commodity trading, exchanges and futures instruments. The other part informs about the wheat on the american market and about international trade in wheat. At the end of the thesis it is analysed the influence of the price development of wheat on the consumer's price of bread on the czech market. Also it is analysed the influence of inflation rate of Czech Republic. The thesis includes correlation analysis.
Analysis of selected commodities from investor's point of view

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze investment options into wheat, corn and rice futures throughout different time horizons. Mostly we use daily closing prices for the last fifteen years. General knowledge of the field in context of nowadays is required to perform such an analysis. To achieve our goals we use technical analysis, time series analysis and we discuss the fundaments of price movements. Contribution of this thesis can be summed as presenting the basic tools of technical analysis in real world, presenting the fundamentals of price movements in one place and practical application of time series analysis on futures prices. By doing so we can confirm that random walk thesis is not unsubstantial but cannot be generalized for all instruments and periods of capital market.
Speculation on Commodity Markets

The objective of the bachelor thesis is to describe the main principles of trading in commodities focused on speculative trading. Attention is especially paid to commodity spreads. The bachelor thesis is divided into three parts. The first part contains basic information about trading in commodities. The second part is concerned with a detailed characteristic of commodity spreads. The final and the most important part deals with building of my own trading spread strategy. In the closing part functionality and accomplishments of my trading system are proved apart from other facts. Everything is accompanied by my own obtained trading results.
Gold market analysis and the influence of commodities on portfolio diversification

The objective of the Diploma Thesis entitled Gold market analysis and the influence of commodities on portfolio diversification is to provide an insight to commodities as an investment asset class. This goal is tackled by the first and the second chapter. The first chapter provides theoretical support for commodities as a distinct asset, whereas the second chapter is focused on investors opportunities to obtain economic exposure to commodity assets on current financial markets. When introducing the commodity products, main focus is set on the gold market. The second objective of the Diploma Thesis is to analyze the gold market and gold added value for the investors. The structure of both supply and demand for gold is analyzed. Demand and supply are identified as the main gold price drivers. The thesis confirms that the main added value of gold as an asset lies in its addition to a portfolio of capital assets. Gold significantly improves diversification of the portfolio, protects the portfolio from inflation as well as from the economic event risk. On the contrary, in comparison to capital assets gold is not an perspective stand alone investment. The last objective of the thesis is to analyze the diversification potential of commodity indexes within a portfolio context. The last chapter is devoted to this objective. The chapter introduces commodity indexes as an investible product and analyses the influence of a selected commodity index being added to a portfolio of capital assets on the efficient investment frontier. It is shown that not only is the commodity index not a good diversification tool but the investors would be better off by selling it short.

The bachelor thesis refers to trading on a commodity exchange and its possibilities. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical section relates to ways of trading, principles, rules, legislation, exchange types. The practical section is based on the graphic analysis of a few trade transactions showing their strategies and explaining individual indicators of technical analyses needed for their realization. The closing part of this thesis is concerned with the qualities, skills, know-how which can be useful to trading on commodity markets.
Commodities - Why and how to invest into them

Commodity Derivatives

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the use of commodity derivatives in the oil market. The thesis itself is divided into two main parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is mainly focusing on the description of commodity derivatives in the oil market and the explanation of the mechanism of most often used derivative contracts. The second and more practical part of the thesis examine the use of these derivatives and all benefits and risks associated with trading in commodity derivatives. The potential threats arising from using derivatives as oil market contracts are explained on the example of corporate trading strategy of Matallgesellschaft AG.
