Study of influence of admixtures on electrochemical characteristics electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries
Nejedlý, Libor ; Jirák, Tibor (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The bachelor project deals with new intercalation materials with admixtures for positive electrode of lithium-ion accumulators. Concretely, the project works with new preparation methods of electrode materials and compares them with long-established industrial process. For this purpose were used electrochemical measurements and structure analysis obtaining materials. The theoretical part of the project is devoted summary of electrochemical power sources, electrochemical reactions, recycling and future of Li-ion batteries. The practical part describes electrochemical methods, measurements and discusses achieved results.
MRI Acquisition and Preprocessing of Image Sequences for Clinical Perfusion Imaging
Krchňavý, Jan ; Bartoš, Michal (referee) ; Jiřík, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis describes the theory for static and dynamic magnetic-resonance imaging using contrast agents affecting T1 relaxation time. The available acquisition methods in the specified facility of Masaryk Oncological Institute in Brno are described. The sequences for subsequent experimental measurements are selected. The used phantoms are described. Acquisition protocol for measuring is described briefly and the evaluation method for the measured data is suggested. The best acquisition sequence and a method of measurements is chosen influenced by estimation of relaxation time T1, sensitivity and signal to noise ratio. Perfusion analysis is executed and perfusion parameters are calculated. The work was supported by the European Regional Development Fund and the State Budget of the Czech Republic (RECAMO, CZ.1.05/2.1.00/03.0101).
Influence of Mn ionts in nickel hydroxide on behavour electrodes
Cirkovský, Jaroslav ; Vrbický, Jiří (referee) ; Sedlaříková, Marie (advisor)
The aim of my diploma thesis was to explore the influence of manganese ions put into nickel nitrate structure. The attention was focused mainly on the stabilization of nickel nitrate a modification, which could not change into b modification. The theoretical part of my thesis focused on applied materials, kinds of acumulators, basic parameters of acumulators and the description of chosen methods of measurement employed. It contained the electrodeposition, the impedance spectroscopy and the cyclic voltammetry. The task of the experimental part was to measure the effect of manganese ions put into potassium hydroxide structure. Proportions of Ni (nickel nitrate) : Mn (manganese nitrate) 10:0, 7:3, 5:5, 6:1 and 6:4 were blended for the measurement. By means of the electrodeposition, there was a thin layer of nickel hydroxide with an admixture of manganese ions from nickel nitrate and manganese nitrate dilution put on the nickel plate. After the spread of the thin layer on the nickel plate, the measurement by the method of cyclic voltammetry followed. The next task consisted in trying to add KOH (potassium hydroxide) anionic and cationic surfactant into the dilution.
Determination of heavy metals in soils and sediments in the region Revúce
Kováč, Lukáš ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This thesis aims to assess the extent of contamination of soil and sediment with risk metals in Jelšava. The main polluter of the environment in this area is the magnetize factory. Sampling of soils and sediments were made in three seasons. Sampling times were staggered to represent different seasons and to take into account the impact of the seasons on the obtained values of the concentrations in soil and sediment. Sampling sites were selected according according to the different distances from the factory and according to the different loading of roads. In each of the collected samples were determined concentrations of the elements copper, lead, zinc, nickel, manganese, mercury, cadmium and vanadium. Copper, lead, zinc, nickel and manganese were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrometry with atomization in a flame (F AAS), cadmium and vanadium were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermal atomization (ET AAS). For the determination of mercury was used mercury analyzer (AMA).
Presence of heavy metals near the way Rudná
Chovanec, Petr ; Pavlovský, Jiří (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
These diploma thesis is focused on assessment of hazardous metals in soils near the road Rudná in Ostrava. Seventeen sampling sites have been chosen along this road, samples from this sites were collected in three series. The amounts of mercury, lead, copper, cadmium, zinc, vanadium and manganese were determined. There was also assessed contamination of selected sites using contamination factor and degree of contamination.
Representation of selected elements in human hair
Jochimová, Eva ; Janoušková, Eva (referee) ; Zemanová, Jana (advisor)
Hair is an excellent matrix for monitoring trace elements and minerals in the body. To long-term changes in concentration of elements in the body are reflected in their value in her hair, so the assessment of the organism from the mineral analysis of hair is a very suitable method. This method is widely used in toxicological testing and forensics. This work deals with the analysis of Mg, K, Fe, Zn, Mn, Se, As, Cd and Pb in 100 samples by ICP-MS. It is a male hair samples with the age range 19 – 74 years. Analysis of hair revealed that concentrations of individual elements are moving in a narrow range of values. Values of older age category are in some case significantly deflective.
Manganese and its compounds
Matláková, Jana ; Kábelová, Božena (referee) ; Pilátová, Ivana (advisor)
The focus of the bachelor’s thesis is searching of possible synthesis of selected compounds of the manganese. In the theoretic part are described chemical and physical properties of compounds, these compounds are connected with synthesis of three following compounds of manganese. The optimal procedure of preparation of manganese compounds was found in the experimental part of the bachelor.
Monitoring of drinking water quality in the Czech Republic
Zelníček, Pavel ; Tauš, Miloslav (referee) ; Biela, Renata (advisor)
In first part of bachelor thesis I process drinking water quality, its monitoring, chosen indicators, legislative demands and their historical development. In second part I rate chosen indicators for 4 years based on available monitoring drinking water conducted by State medical institute.
Milk as a source of trace elements
BOUCHALOVÁ, Jana
The aim of this thesis was to enumerate the contents of important trace elements in cow's milk (iodine, zinc, copper, manganese) and evaluate the importance of milk as the natural resources in human nutrition. The average content of iodine in cows' milk in farms of South Bohemia in 2009 was 360,91 ?g/l, 2010 440,62 ?g/l in 2011 337,14 ?g/l. The average content of zinc in cow's milk in 2009 was 4825,15 ?g/l. The average content of copper in cow's milk in 2009 was 38,78 ?g/l. The average content of manganese in cow's milk in 2009 was 16,49 ?g/l. The average consumption of 0.16 liter of milk per person per day provided income of iodine in 2009 in 39%, in 2010 in 47%, in 2011 in 54%, income of zinc in 2009 in 6%, copper income in 0,3% and manganese income in 0,07%.
