Analysis of cars with different power units

This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis and selection of vehicles with various power units. The analysis is performed on the VW Golf seventh generation ( Mk7 ), which is manufactured with five different power units: gasoline, diesel, electric motor, hybrid (electric motor and gasoline) and compressed natural gas (CNG). For the car selection multicriterial decision method was chosen.
The purpose of this thesis is to select the best type of vehicle for both the users driving daily to work and those driving long distance routes. The first criterion for the selection was the economic aspect, the cheapest vehicle calculated from the purchase price, maintenance and operating costs. To the second selection became involved people in the questionnaire survey.

The evaluation of technical indicators in trading on the commodity market

This work is focused on theoretical description, practical testing and evaluation of technical indicators in trading on commodity markets. The work is systematically divided on theoretical and practical parts.
In the beginning of the first part is described theoretical analysis in general, which consists of the technical indicators and the chart patterns. Thereafter is theoretical part focused on the description of indicators and principles, on which are technical indicators founded. Part of the indicators descriptions are possible trading strategies and use for capture of trading signals.
In the second part of the work are evaluated each indicators using definite trading strategies. The evaluation is performed by backtesting strategies on commodity markets historical data. The indicators are evaluated from the perspective of particular strategies profitability, taking into account the broker fees.

Contemporary front doors - parameters and construction

The thesis provides a summary of all available knowledge about wooden front doors, their classification and parameters. It describes doors made in the early 20st century and after WWII and compares them with contemporary trends in terms of their construction as well as aesthetic qualities and materials used. It covers types and materials of doorframes and technical parameters such as fire safety, thermal efficiency and acoustic performance. It includes a detailed description of types of fittings and seals, surface finishes and panelling of which especially glass has undergone major changes. It also touches on the significance of door design and the aesthetic role of doors in the building.

Methods for the evaluation of postural stability

This study deals with methods for evaluation of postural stability. The main problem of posturography is lack of standardization in measurement and evaluation. There are presented some parameters affecting postural stability that are often taken into account. Those are parameters that might be changed while measuring, for example standing position, sampling duration or visual control. And others that are altered when evaluating is taking place, variability of those parameters, is much greater. Measurement protocol taking into account the most promising parameters was put together based on literary search. Changes in COP of ten subjects were measured with Wii Balance Board, according to the proposed measurement protocol. The data acquired from a particular subject were used to count values of parameters used in evaluation. After that the values were statistically analyzed. To compare each parameter, trajectory with good results according to other literature was chosen to pose as a reference. Final result is comparison firstly between importance of changes in parameters of measuring and secondly between success of detection of those changes of separate parameters.

Speed Increasing of the Střelice - Moravský Krumlov Section

The aim of this thesis is to examine the possibilities of increase of speed on a railway track section between Střelice and Moravský Krumlov. The increase of speed is examined according to contemporary geometric parameters of the railway track. Sporadically an assessment with proposed changes of geometric parameters of the railway track is conducted. The proposed changes cannot cause any profound transformations of the body of the railway track. In both cases a restriction of speed by level crossing, a track branching and position of semaphores are taken into consideration. A proposal is elaborated with help of an overview of railway top.

Nonlinear models of DC machines

This bachelor thesis deals with modeling and simulation of DC motors. Four models of DC motors were created, according to four types of excitation ( derivative, serial, compound and separated). These models were designed in simulation program MATLAB & Simulink. Models were adjusted in order to respect magnetic non-linearity. Parameters for simulations were measured on real DC machine and the simulations were executed. This theses focuses on examination of temporary effects and comparing with real measured developments.

Simulation of electric machines

This thesis deals with modeling and simulations of DC and AC machines. They were created by four mathematical models. Three models of DC motors with different type of excitation (compound, serial, derivative) and one model for asynchronous motor. All models were implemented in MATLAB & Simulink. After measuring and setting the basic parameters of the machines, simulations were running. Simulation results are then compared with measured waveforms.

Study of cutting defects in flame cutting of limit thickness of carbon steel by fiber laser

This thesis deals with research of cutting defects at laser cutting of 15 mm thick carbon steel by Bystronic fiber laser with emphasis on wide cutting gap, which causes enlargement of wide of cutting gap and deterioration of roughness of cutting edge and increase of creation fo heat. The introduction describes the main types of lasers used for cutting sheet of metal and compare their advantages and disadvantages. Also described is a cutting process and its parameters, and also the possible cutting defects. An experiment was conducted on steels S355MC and S235JR and cutting defects were analyzed in relation to the set of cutting parameters. Next part determines the extent of the recommended parameters that should be chosen for specific cutting conditions and is balanced recommendations regarding the choice of material to be cut, and technological adaptations parts. In the last part is measured roughness of a wide cutting gap, the width of the heat affected zone and micro-hardness of the material.
