Freiová, Kristýna ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Hubáček, Ondřej (referee)
Agriculture makes its first appearance in human history about 12 000 - 5 000 years ago. Around that time, people took to a sedentary way of life so they could primarily till the land and grow the grains which they had come to know in their wild varieties. This new way of life gradually changed the social and cultural order. A return to primeval living was not impossible, though. After the rise and fall of proto-states, for which evidence has survived only in the case of Great Moravia, an early Bohemian state took hold. In the local culture, grain played an indispensable role. Farming was the main livelihood of the entire populace. Crops of choice at the time were millet, einkorn, and emmer wheat, which gradually gave way to common wheat and barley. The land was tilled with wooden hoes which merely cut furrows in the soil. The grain, which was harvested using sickles, was stored in pits in the ground. To improve digestibility of the grain...

HAŠKOVCOVÁ, Petra
This thesis deals with growing hops technology, its use, the use of elicitation and herbal products for agricultural crops. The general part of the thesis deals with the history of hops, the morphology of the hop plant, hop growing technology, nutrition and fertilization, pest and disease control, harvesting and chemical composition of hops. The Czech Republic is traditionally one of the world's largest hop producers. Czech hops is world renowned for its quality, given by the absolutely predominant fine aromatic sort Žatecký poloraný červeňák. (ŽPC). Furthermore, this part provides information about the impact of elicitation on agricultural crops, the effect of herbal preparations and the use of hops. Změny fyzikálně chemických vlastností chladírensky skladovaných jablek
Vojtěšková, Darja
Physical and chemical changes during maturation of apple tree and in post-harvest changes play an important role. The aim was to focus on these changes and subsequently evaluated. In the literary part of the thesis is focused on chemical and nutritional aspects fruit ripening and respiration fruits, harvest, storage options and physiological disorders during storage. In the practical part were evaluated three varieties of apples "Rubinola, Prima and Topaz." First, the fruits were evaluated during ripening on the tree. For each variety were taken each five fruits every 7 days. The optimum ripeness was collected 40 varieties of each fruit and the cold storage for 90 days at a temperature of 3 °C. According to the qualitative characteristics of those properties (starch test, soluble solids and titratable acid) and mechanical-physical properties (penetrometer strength, weight) were measured varieties and subsequently evaluated.

Němcová, Monika
The bachelor thesis ,,Quality of small fruits during storage" is dealing with the description of particular kinds of fruit, substance composition, technological parameters, ways of harvesting and occurrence of diseases and pests. Part of the thesis is designated to the possible means of storage of small fruits, description of technologies focused on controlled atmosphere and ULO. Two of the currant cultivars (Trent and Detvan) were observed, during the time of the storage, in the practical part of the thesis. Atributes in differences assessed, were concerning if the fruits were treated with ozone, the state of health of the fruits and the controll of mass decrease. The content of soluble dry basis was deremined by labaratory experiments.
Hodnocení růstových a sklizňových údajů netradičního ovocného druhu - dřínu obecného
Doležálková, Blanka
The aim of this thesis is to find out the growth and harvest features of the chosen set of the cornelian cherry. The summary of history, spread and typical features, that this fruity species distinguished, was given. It describes the chemical structure of fruits, the propagation of cornelian cherry and its cultivation. It also contains its use and processing in chosen products. The assortment of six cultivars ('Elegantní', 'Fruchtal', 'Jolico', 'Lukjanovský', 'Vydubecký', 'Vyšegorodský') was evaluated on the experimental and demonstration area of the institute SŽP Žabčice. The terms of phonological phases, the sizes of bush content, the size of fruity picking, the outer and inner features of fruits were found out. The results of individual measures were processed and statistically evaluated. The acquired values were arranged to charts and graphs and then described in detail in the textual part. The most suitable cultivar for cultivation and succeeding processing is possible to choose according to the acquired values.
Hodnocení růstových a sklizňových údajů kamčatských borůvek (Lonicera caeruela L.)
Becha, Tomáš
This thesis on the topic : Evaluation of growth and harvest data of sweetberry honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.) is focused on the evaluation of growth, harvest and phenological characteristics of different varieties of honeysuckle. In the thesis there were evaluated from the growth characteristics the height of shrubs, cubic capacity of shrubs, annual growth and evaluation of flowering. For harvesting parameters there were observed the height and width of fruits, weight of one fruit, fruit shapes, refractometric dry substance content, the content of vitamin C and the dry matter content in fruits. In phenological phases there were recorded the date of budding, flowering, ripening of the fruits, harvesting and loss of leaves. The thesis is supplemented with charts and tables of published results and with the description in the text part of the work. It also includes the description of some most commonly grown varietes. During the observation there was taken continuous photo documentation. On the base of the findings it is possible now to to select the variety with the largest fruits, the heaviest fruits, the largest content of vitamin C, refractive dry matter or total dry mater content in the fruits or with the largest cubic capacity growth of the shrub.
