Small apartments in Brno
Panicheva, Daria ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of this work was the preparation of project documentation, consisting of documentation for building permits, documentation for the implementation of construction and design of architectural detail. The bachelor thesis is based on an architectural study prepared within the studio work of the subject AG033. The subject of the proposal are small-sized apartments and dormitory units for students. The complex is located in the Brno Králové pole district on the corner of Kosinova and Chaloupkova streets. The purpose of the building is chosen according to the interests of the residents and in relation to the surrounding secondary schools and universities. The proposal deals with both a separate building and a link to the surrounding area. This project consists of three buildings, two of which are intended for student dormitories and a corner building serving for small apartments. In addition, these are services in the form of leasable premises, studios, cafes and laundries. The apartment house contains apartments 1+kk, 2+kk. Two adjacent buildings contain 82 rooms for students. House equipment, technical facilities, accessories and parking is located in 1.PP. The inner courtyard is used as a social space, which includes a relaxation area with benches and trees, as well as a zone for barbecues and other activities. From a material point of view, the 2 objects represent a block shape, and the corner building forms an irregular, atypical shape. The buildings have different heights and connect to the surrounding buildings. The buildings with student units are five-storey and the corner building is six-storey to emphasize the gradation of the entire building. By removing the mass of the last floors, terraces were created and thus the playful expression of the entire complex of buildings was achieved. Thereby it creates a connection between the interior and the exterior. All buildings are covered with flat vegetated walkable roofs. The most striking element of the buildings is the glazed stairwell extended outside the building. The facade is represented by white visible plaster to unify the complex form of the complex.
New synagogue Česká Lípa
Marečková, Andrea ; Baranyai, René (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design of a new synagogue in Česká Lípa. The solved area is located close to the city center on the site where the original synagogue was burned down during Crystal Night. The boundary of the area is U Synagogy Street, on the north and south sides there are terraced buildings and on the east side there is an embankment with a first-class road. The area used to be behind the city walls, which no longer exist. The design of the synagogue in the Z-V axis and the connection to the U Synagogy road are also important in the design. The negative factor that affects the area, is the busy and dusty road located on the embankment, which creates a visual barrier and divides the city into several parts. For these reasons, the synagogue was located at the intersection of the adjacent streets and as far away from the busy road as possible. The other objects in the design are positioned so that they create a noise barrier and their windows are not turned to communicate. Thanks to the location of individual functions, an inner block was created in the middle of the solved area, intended for rest and meeting of people. The location of the kosher restaurant attracts its location from the adjacent U Synagogy street and at the same time it is turned into a quiet courtyard, where there is a small outdoor seating area. The office building and community center line the embankment on the east side, separating the busy road from the quiet courtyard. These buildings are also facing the courtyard and only the windows of the stairs or background are located on the facade to the road. In the southern part of the area, a ramp leading to an underground car park is proposed, which connects the administrative building with the community center. An important element of the design are the perforated panels located on the facade of the synagogue. The perforation is based on a Jewish star, these are equilateral triangles. Thanks to the perforated panels, privacy
Mixed-use building in Mikulov
Lovečková, Martina ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a new multifunctional building in Mikulov. The work is based on a study in the subject AG035 - Studio of Architectural Creation 5. The proposed building is located in the town of Mikulov. The building itself is on a slightly sloping plot under the castle gardens, on Alfonse Mucha Street. The terraces in the courtyard are already on a very sloping plot. The building consists of 1 building with 4 floors and an attic. One floor is completely sunk into the ground like a basement. It is used for underground garages and cellar nurseries for apartment owners. The ground floor has a public function. There is a newsagent, a beauty salon and a wine bar, which also includes a wine cellar under the walls. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, housing units of various sizes are designed. The attic is unused. The construction system is combined. The foundation structure is made of a tub made of waterproof concrete, the inner load-bearing walls are made of ceramic fired Porotherm brick blocks. In the basement, reinforced concrete columns with girders are designed. The ceiling structures are made of reinforced concrete slabs with reinforced concrete wreaths. The supporting structure of the roof is made of a wooden purlin system.
Mixed-use building in Mikulov
Kučera, Pavel ; Klimecký, Martin (referee) ; Gerö, Jiří (advisor) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis follows a project developed within the subject AG035 Studio of Architectural Creation. The subject of the design is a multifunctional house in the place of the gap, which currently serves as a parking lot or marketplace. The multifunctional house is located close to the walls and castle gardens of Mikulov Castle - located in the urban conservation zone, which was declared in Mikulov in 1982. Due to the elevation of the plot and the street to which the design is adjacent, the multifunctional house is divided into three related parts. The outer parts are set aside for commercial purposes on the first floor (florist, newsagent, bistro). The second, third floor and attic offer a total of 8 apartments. The middle part is reserved only for a literary café. The design also includes underground parking accessible by stairs from the first floor of the outer parts of the multifunctional building. Entry and exit is provided by two ramps. An integral part is the culture of the remaining free space adjacent to the walls of the Mikulov castle. It will consist of gardens and a space/passage adjacent to the wine cellar located under the walls. At the same time, it will be possible to get from this passage to the area of the castle gardens by means of a designed elevator. The facades of all three parts of the multifunctional house are richly glazed and designed in white, beige plaster or pigmented concrete trowel. They take into account the fact that the multifunctional house is located in the urban conservation zone. The roof of the building is saddle with concrete covering in a traditional red-brown colour.
Townhouses on the outskirts of Brno
Kopačka, Daniel ; Šubrt, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis follows up on a studio project, that i made in my second year of the bachelor's study, Townhouses on the outskirt of Brno. Labor contains Plans for the building permit and Structural documentation. Area of interest is located in Brno - Li´šeň, on the right side, there's Ondráčkova's street, and an abandoned slaughterhouse on the other side. The main idea of my project is, to create two identical buildings, that will perfectly fit into the land and surroundings. By placing these two, into opposite corners of the land, there will be created a fine corner of Ondra´čkova's street and Zla´manky. At the same time, buildings will create direct and let's say "natural" way to the underground parking lot. People, who will visit park, will also have very usefull noise barrier from both sides. Designed buildings contain three above-ground floors and one underground floor, which connects both townhouses by tunnel. Each townhouse contains a total of five housing units, each one with different size. Designed buildings are installed in a way, to keep balance between modern industry and pure nature. First building is more dominant, so it can define the corner of both streets and the second one is less expressive, so it will fit with buildings next to her. Structurally, the townhouses are designed of the Porotherm system and reinforced concrete structures. The main goal of the work is to create modern housing on the suburbs, which will not disturb close neighborhood.
Smart District Špitalka
Sergeeva, Anna ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
The proposed building is part of a complex of three buildings. The task was to create the dominants of the new territory, which would include functions corresponding to the concept of a smart neighborhood. The building has 19 floors above ground and two underground. The simple shape is complemented by the corrugated roof of the congress center and the curved atrium. The main entrance is towards the new city street, the main facade of the congress center faces the square. The dynamics of the shape of the high-rise building is supported by an irregular grid of windows, the combination of full masonry and leaky lighten the facade of the lower part.

Brno New Train Station and its Public Spaces
Sedláček, Jakub ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Sedláček, Michal (advisor)
The topic of the Diploma thesis is a design of the New train station in Brno. The plot is located on the boundary of three city districts – Komárov, Štýřice and Trnitá. This area includes the railway structure for the new train station and also its public spaces, which are very close to the river Svratka. The railway structure is designed as bridge construction, that rises all platforms and rail tracks to 7,65 metres above the ground level. So all of the railways do not become a barrier in the city. The main concept extends a longitudinal axis of the city boulevard through the train station, which creates a high-rise building in the southern part of the plot. This axis is written not only to the layout but also to the roof design. The train station includes two underground levels, ground floor and first floor. Underground levels consist of P+R parking, deliveries only area, technical facilities and subway terminal. The ground floor is the main traffic centre. There is an entrance hall, shopping area, bus terminal and public corridors. The first floor includes platforms for train departures and arrivals. There are also public spaces in the entrance hall. The basic structural system consists of two parts. The first part is a massive reinforced concrete structure of the railway bridge deck and all underground levels. This structure is based on reinforced concrete foundation pads with drilled piles. The second part is a steel frame structure of the roof. That includes steel columns and truss girders for the structure of the lower area. The higher part of the roof is designed as a steel-truss bridge with the characteristic profile. The new train station supposes to create a new gate to the city of Brno, that connects contemporary districts with the historical city center.
