Kučera, Roman ; Bartoň, Jan (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of a low-potential heat from the energetics point of view. It also deals with the sources and subsequent use of the low-potential heat. First of all, the thesis mentions the origin of these sources and also describes where they can be found. Also the technologies, that are able to utilize this heat, like heat pumps and solar collectors, are mentioned in this part of the thesis. In its next part, the bachelor thesis deals with use of the waste heat for heating and production of electrical energy. In the last part, the thesis presents the project that introduces a specific concept of the system for object heating from the waste heat.
Energy performance of kindergarten
Mahovská, Adriana ; Vyhlídalová, Karolína (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis elaborates two energy performance certificates of kindergarten in the variant for the current status and the new state. The theoretical part deals with solar collectors. Computational part contains specification of building structures and power systems. It always includes a comparison of the default and the new state. The economic assessment is determined by the return on investment in revitalization. As part of the mandatory analysis of alternative sources, a proposal for a solar system for partial hot water heating will be established. The project part contains two processed EPCs (building energy performance certificate) for this building.
Optimisation of the house heating by use of the renewable energy sources
Husák, Ondřej ; Frk, Martin (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
The thesis contains is familiar with the issues of renewable energy and global warming. Assessing the use of these resources in households in the Czech Republic. The selected family house, perform measurements on the existing heating system. In conclusion, there is suggestions for optimalization system houses, the possibility of linking the with renewable energy sources and an assessment of economic turn.
Design of a photovoltaic system with battery storage for a company
Šmatlo, Filip ; Maule, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on design of the photovoltaic system for the company. The first part describes electricity production from the sun. There are described technologies of production of photovoltaic cells and technology of individual component of photovoltaic system. Furthermore, the concepts of photovoltaic systems and types of connections of these systems to the distribution network are described. Also the Czech legislation, recycling and safety in the field of photovoltaics are described. In the practical part of the thesis is created photovoltaic power station located on the roof of the building. Results of simulation of photovoltaic system created in PVSOL design program are described.
Solar heat for residential heat supply
Siuda, Radim ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is usage of solar energy for water heating. The first part is dedicated to a summary of current theoretical knowledge of passive and active solar energy. The second part deals with the design of solar system for family house. This will be implemented by bivalent system to provide the necessary amount of hot water throughout the year. At the very end of this work, economic evaluation is done.
Photosynthetically produced hydrogen
Osipenko, Elena ; Němcová, Yvonne (advisor) ; Ráček, Jan (referee)
Bio-hydrogen from microalgae and cyanobacteria has attracted commercial awareness due to its potential as an alternative, reliable and renewable energy source. Photosynthetic hydrogen production from algae and cyanobacteria can be interesting and promising options for clean energy, because hydrogen is produced at ambient temperature and pressure and releases only water as a by-product. The energy of sunlight is used to split the water molecule into protons (H+), electrons (e-) and O2. The protons and electrons are then recombined with the help of the enzymes hydrogenase or nitrogenase (in the case of cyanobacteria) to form H2. Both of these enzymes are sensitive to O2 and therefore require the processes of H2 formation and CO2 fixation to be separated. This bachelor's thesis aims to describe the principle of H2 formation in different cyanobacterial and algal systems and mention the problems and limitations. The thesis also presents recent approaches, including genetic and metabolic engineering of cyanobacteria and algae or co-culturing of algae and bacteria, where an anaerobic environment is created by enhanced bacterial respiration.
Creation of a tool for calculating the efficiency of renewable energy sources
Lecián, Milan ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Binar, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a tool for calculating the efficiency and self-sufficiency of a mobile photovoltaic system to ensure the supply of electrical energy during crisis situations. The thesis includes research on various types of renewable energy sources and storage systems. Furthermore, it describes the relationships for calculating the position of the Sun, the intensity of the incident radiation, the efficiency and the output of the PV system and the overall coverage of the system’s consumption. Based on these relationships, a computational model is created. In the next section, this developed computational model is described and shows its application in comparison with the PV*SOL program. In the final part, using the analysis performed with the computational model, a design for o mobile photovoltaic system for supplying electrical energy during crisis situations is created using PV*SOL program. The use of the proposed system is demonstrated by providing electrical energy for emergency survival of the population. The conclusion of the thesis includes an evaluation and recommendations for further research.
Design of a photovoltaic power plant with battery storage for a family house in area Ústrašice
Wiesner, Lukáš ; Jandová, Kristýna (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The master thesis covers the design of a photovoltaic solar power plant for a selected family house in Ústašice in Tábor’s region The theoretical part summarizes the photovoltaic phenomenon, production, and differences of various technologies of photovoltaic panels and different types of battery storages. The project also includes the legislative and subsidy conditions in the Czech Republic related to the PV topic. The practical part of the thesis starts with information about the layout of the family house with an analysis of household consumption data for the last five years. The analysis is followed by the selection of a suitable type of system for photovoltaic water heating. Using multi-criteria analysis, the most suitable solar controller and PV panels are then selected. The proposed system is updated with other necessary components. Finally, a simulation of the system is created in PV*SOL to determine the lighting conditions and to evaluate the economics side of the entire project.
