The competetive strength analysis of selected company

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the competitive strength of the Edikt, a.s. company in the Czech market. Edikt, a.s. is a building company focusing on comprehensive deliveries of traffic and civil engineering projects. Methods of strategic management were used to achieve this objective and changes were suggested that could increase its competitive strength. Different types of analysis were used in work, namely both the analyses of internal and external environment.Based on the executed analysis it was then recommended to the Edikt, a.s. company to develop a long-term strategy and set short-term goals pursuant to this strategy.

The main focus of this thesis called ?Strategy of the organisation of trading services? is strategic decision for establishing the independent department which will provide the new service with the aim of its own effective distribution. Distribution should satisfy the customer needs by delivering the ordered goods which was prepared at their wholesale outlet to the right address. The main aim is increasing the profitability of the organisation and also increasing the competativeness on the market.

The aim of this thesis has been to assess the activities of strategic management in the production plant. An inspected object, the firm A, is engaged in cystom manufacturing for the general engineering industry. All the analysis (a financial analysis, a SWOT analysis, a STEP analysis) were performed between 2006 and 2008. On these basis were established assumptions of future develeopment. These assumptions affected the factors of external and internal environment of business. There were presented three options for future development, i.e. the destructions of competition, the cooperation with nex suppliers in the business growth, the improvement of the quality of thein products, in the cost reduction, in the quick fullfillment of contracts and in the timely payment from the customers. Only with these factors can be achieved positive economic results.
Analysis of the competitiveness of the choice firm.

The market position and competitiveness of company OSIVA BORŠOV, spol. s r.o. have been evaluated by means of strategic management´s methods and process. The internal and external background of this company have been analysed. There have been used these analyses: SWOT analysis, STEP analysis, Porter´s Model and Analysis of Competitors. Furthermore has been used the questionnaire inquiry. The market position of the company could be evaluated as highly satisfaing, due to the results of these analisys, in spite of the fact, that company must confront a very strong competition. So it´s very important to contemplate minor changes in the ring of competition and to contemplate and analyse competitors´s reaction. Some arrangements have been proposed to increase of competitiveness and prosperity of this company and by means of the SWOT analysis has been choosed strategy of the product´s developement as the most acceptable strategy, that consist in the modification of contemporary products and services.

The aim of this work was to assess the current situation analysis in strategic management and development of township Křemže. In this thesis were analyzed as the PESTLE analysis, interest groups, SWOT analysis, budget analysis Křemže township and municipal cooperation. It was also carried out a survey and interviews with the township mayor Ing. Josef Troupe. In the discussion section after each analysis were evaluated and weaknesses were highlighted, including a proposal to address particular situations.

The theoretical part focuses on the description of the development and the importance of the strategic management. The pracitcal part focuses on the analyses of the particular agricultural company called AGRO Vodňany a.s., using the methods of the strategic management. Consequently I suppose the evaluation of the possible strategies for this particular company. The last part of my dissertation focuses on the possibilities of the imrovement of the economical state of the company and as a solution I suppose the reconstruction and renovation of the pig breeding barn.

Diploma thesis is focused on the implementation of customer relationship management and Business Intelligence solutions in the small business company using open source technologies. Main objective of the thesis is implementation of CRM and Business Intelligence and evaluation of usability of these solutions. Thesis describes basic elements of these solutions. For the setting up metrics is using Balanced Scorecard. In the next part of this thesis is designed the whole Business Intelligence including the creating of data model and OLAP cubes using open source technologies. Theoretical background is described in the first part of thesis. There are defined basic terms from scope of strategic management using Balanced Scorecard, CRM and Business Intelligence. Thesis demonstrates using and creation of the whole Business Intelligence solution. There are also evaluated difficulties in implementation of these products. In thesis is designed data warehouse and the whole solution including reports.

The aim of this thesis is to work out a strategic analysis of a company Variant Příbram s.r.o. The thesis is divided in two parts. In the first part is described the theoretical basis of the thesis. In the second part is worked out a concrete strategic analysis including synthesis in SWOT analysis form. In the conclusion is formulated a strategic recommendation for company.
