The paper recapitulates Zbigniew Brzezinski's views on the United States at the dawn of 21st century and his criticism of the presidency of George W. Bush. The first part describes the position of the USA in the era of globalization, the latter regarded as a new ideology. The second chapter explores the allies of the USA and their indispensableness. The third part analyzes the enemies and threats, which the USA must face, pointing out terrorism, weapons of mass destruction and cyberterrorism.

This bachelor thesis deals with a current very significant word wide tendency, which is called globalization. It searches the prerequisites of its origin, historical emergence and phenomena, which are accompanying it all the time. An attention is also paid to its main attributes. The thesis is further concerned with international flows of trade, capital and with the movement of labour force together with migration. Finally there are introduced some implications caused by globalization.

Globalization and Traffic Psychology - Comparison of Selected EU Countries

This thesis deals with the comparison between Prague's and Vienna's traffic systems from the passenger's point of view. Its objective is to determine which of the two systems is more comprehensible and comfortable, and define their weaknesses. In order to fulfil the thesis objectives the survey research and observation methods have been used. The definiton of both traffic systems' weaknesses is to be understood as the result of the thesis. The importance of those weaknesses and their elimination is further increased by the globalization process.

The thesis begins by defining the terms globalisation - and the historical setting of economic globalisation, globalisation processes and its manifests, which form the base of the practical part of this thesis - application of this phenomenon on the czech economy. The second chapter discribes the past of the engagement of this economy in the processes of globalising world in the terms of international trade, capital flows, transnational companies, migration and infrastructure. The last part contains detailed analysis of the developement of the mentioned areas in recent years. The thesis ends by the view of the international economic situation at the time of economic recession.
The Slovak republic in the globalization processes

This thesis describes economic globalization processes, explains the main terms and finally depicts the Slovak republic in the process of globalization. There are interpreted effects and impacts of globalization on the economy of Slovakia and there is also characterized the involvement of the Slovak republic in the multinational matters and global economy. The thesis shows economic developement of Slovakia based on major macroeconomic indicators. The extend of the involvemenet of Slovakia in the multinational matters is expresed by the developement of international trade, capital flows, transnational corporations, migration of labour and consequently the economy of the Slovak republic is compared to the developed economies of the world to show the involvement of the globalization processes in the economy of the country.

The thesis deals with the role of nation-state in globalization. In the beginning, the nation-state and state are defined. Globalization is a phenomenon that has been influencing human existence for a long time. However, processes of globalization as well as its periods have not been unified yet. This paper seeks to describe basic milestones of globalization as well as its historical reflexion. The description is put in the context of the World Bank's approach to economic history. Globalization is inherent to many problems. Nevertheless, many authors point out positive effects of globalization. It is substantial to be aware of what the benefits of globalization are and to know why to support it. It is also important to monitor its negative impacts showing us warnings for the future and indicating what we should avoid in the present. The goal of this paper is to point out the influence of globalization within nowadays information and from the economic point of view. Present financial crisis which effects the whole world is closely associated with globalization. Therefore, one section of the paper is dedicated to this topic.
Competition and the national champions in globalization primarily in terms of the situation in the Czech Republic

This thesis defines and analyzes the existing rules of procedure and legislation to protect competition in the principle of de lege lata in the Czech Republic with regard to the operation of national champions and marginally in terms of policy, national champions in Europe, analyze the status of the principle of national champions and classified in the context of existing conditions with global effects in the field, arguments concerning the existence and status of national champions in the competition (de lege lata versus de lege ferenda) in terms of various aspects of their responsibilities. With regard to the objective of work was dealing with the issue of regulation of irregular acquisition of electric power in the context of the possible advantage of champion and the emergence of any injury to other competitors or consumers as a result of this advantage. The aim of this work is to describe the regulation of de lege lata in the Czech Republic on irregular acquisition of electric power and showing a solution and to answer the question of whether the change de lege ferenda may remove any harm other competitors or consumers.
