Application of Multiple Attribute Decision Making

This bachelor thesis is focused on selecting car for physically handicapped people by using multi-attribute decision making. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical description of used methods explaining basic terms and relations. In the second part there is realized selection itself, it's description and calculations. Selection is made by use of Saaty's method of pairwise preferences, which defines individual criterion weights of alternative transport options, followed up by AHP method, where the best optimal option of car is selected.

Choice of the optimal heating system for particular municipal office

The current trends in sources of heat designed for heating the houses are influenced by the consequences, that interfere in the decision making process from the professional point of view (the advisory activity by the expert) as well as from non-professional point of view (the owner or the operator of the house, usually represented by one person).
The aim of this thesis is to find the optimal method, that is supposed to secure disinterested decision making, that will be minimally influenced by the subjective experience, customs and also by the advice given by the friends of the decision maker. The thesis concerns the town hall, that will be insulated in the future. Therefore it is eligible to propose to change the heating source, as the current one will be redundant, once the insulation is done. Using the old heating system would be uneconomical. The current heating source is the gas boiler JUNKERS CERAPUR. The energy (heat) loss of the town hall building will be lowered by 50 % once the insulation is done.

Decision making in SMEs

The goal of the work is the creation of a system for decision making support in the company BSL, s.r.o.. The system for the decision making is to resolve the problem with decision making in choosing personal computers for the companys partners.
In the thesis a system for decision making for the company BSL is suggested, as well as its functions and the methodology it utilizes are clearly described. The abilities of the systems are introduced through realistic computations during the choice of a personal computer for individual BSL partners. The results are interpreted through a user interface where the individual options of interaction and users system functions are described. The conclusion of the work includes the results of the individual computations along with suggestion of the best personal computer for individual partners.

Application of decision-making models for choosing a pathway

The aim of this thesis is, by using the methods of multi-criteria decision, to design and recommend a suitable variant of the communication for the pedestrian for the preparation of a tender documentation for the public tender in the village of Dolany.
The issue of the decision-making processes in the selection of the optimal variants using the methods of multi-criterial decision-making is analyzed in the literature research of the publication. The description of multi-criteria methods reflects the subsequent procedure of the calculation in the practical part. Research also deals, regarding to the theme of the publication, with selected requirements in the procurement, sub-targets of the tender documentation for the selection procedure and a brief specification of the communication for the pedestrian.
The practical part of the thesis starts with the description of the village of Dolany and the preparation for the setting the options. The determination of the possible variants and the choice of different criteria follow. The selection of the compromise variants is carried out using the method of the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) for the possibility of inclusion also qualitative criteria which cannot be fitted into the framework of the tender documentation. In the end, the selected option is recommended to the village of Dolany.

Application of multiple criteria decision-making methods in server choice

Bachelor thesis deals with application methods of multiple-criteria decision making in choosing suitable server for hosting company. Hosting company is preparing new technical solution in according hosting services for their customers. Because of this reason, is necessarily to choose suitable server configuration, which will best fulfill demands of the company owners.
First part consist of theoretical part, in which are described the essential principals, aspects and methods, which are used in multi-criteria decision making. Methods and actions, which are described in this part of bachelor thesis are further applied on particular issue choosing the best server in the practical part. The practical part contains an assessing of criteria for choosing the best server, setting out an importance between these criteria by using Saatys matrix and furhermore by using the TOPSIS method choosing the best alternative.

Mobile Phones Choice for Chosen Company Employees

The aim of this Bachelor's thesis is to help select mobile phones choice for company employees using multiple criteria decision-making methods. The first part of this thesis focuses on general multiple criteria decision-making processes, criteria determination methods and compromise option choice methods. This part deals with Saaty's matrix, the sum approach method and AHP method in detail, which are applied in the second part of this thesis in practice. The second part consists of A case study which is indirectly divided into two parts. The first part of the case study contains a description of Staropramen, s. r. o., the procedure for selecting mobile phones used by the company and a description of the required parameters. The second part of the case study focuses on simulation of the selection process and application of the sum approach method and AHP method. In the end of this Bachelor's thesis suitable methods are recommended which can be applied to a general selection process in the Staropramen company.

Multi-criteria decision in a choice of white electronics

This bachelor thesis deals with multi-criteria decision in a choice of white electronics and is divided into two main parts. The first part is a literature review and the second part is an analytical part named White electronics for students household.
The first, theoretical part is dealing with basic issues, in which are explained fundamental terms of decisions, multicriteria decision and multicriteria analysis of options. The greatest attention is given to chapter of multicriteria evaluation of alternatives. In this chapter are described terms like variant, criterion or weight. This chapter included clasification of multicriteria analysis of options, methods of determining the weights of criteria and methods, which deal with multicriteria analysis of options. The biggest part of these methods is about the method of weighted sum. This method was used for calculations in the analytical part. In the last part of the literature review is described program MCAKOSA. This programme was used for the second part of bachelor thesis.
In the analytical part are explaned results of questionnare survey. This survey is named White electronics for students household. Parametres of selected types of appliances and choice of the most appropriate variants of this appliances are described in the analytical part. The choice had two steps. The first step was assessment of weights for each criterion by scoring method. The second step was choice of variants by method of weighted sum.

The choice of the Miss Agro winner using multicriteria decision-making

This thesis deals with the theme of multi-criteria decision making, specifically on the topic Choosing the winners of Miss Agro using multi-criteria decision. Miss Agro's annual beauty contest associated with the Czech Agricultural University. Contest is always involved with ten selected students of the university who are studying at the university premises.
This thesis has two parts. One of them is theoretical and second is practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic concepts of multi-criteria decision making, relationships variants, weighting of the criteria and their nature, methods for determining weights and methods of multi-criteria evaluation of alternatives.
The practical part deals with Miss Agro. The main goal of this work is to compare the official results Miss Agro 2015 of the achievements results which are based on new criteria that were evaluated respondendy questionnaire survey conducted among students of CULS. The first step is to use the method for determining weights and determine the weighting of each. For the weights is specifically applied scoring method. Identified criteria weights are then used to select a compromise variant, using the weighted sum. Furthermore, the comparison of the official results Miss Agro 2015, the results are evaluated by a professional jury during the contest, the new results evaluated on the basis of survey conducted among students of CULS. Both cases are represented graphically.

Student accounts evaluation

The goal of this work was to evaluate the order of student accounts in terms of advantegousness, which are offered by banks on the domestic banking market. Not only theoretically, but also using quantitative methods. Firstly, the current offer of students products on the domestic market was explored, then a survey among some students was made in order to determine which student accounts are the most favourite ones, most commonly used and why. By using methods multiple-criteria evaluation of alternatives clients can make an easier decision when choosing from a large number of specified criteria. Afterwards, an appropriate evaluation criteria were fixed and evaluated in terms of profitability of individual alternatives by using methods of multiple criteria evaluation. For all analysed students, the account called - U konto pro mladé from UniCredit Bank was clearly selected as the best one. On the contrary account FRESH from Česká spořitelna appeared to be the mist disadvantageous one. According to the questionnaire, this account is owned by the majority of young respondents.

MV Overhead Line Protections and their Coordination with Autoreclosers

The aim of this Master’s Thesis is to describe protections for overhead lines in distribution networks. Here are described requirements for the protection and the basic protections. Protections are divided according to their protective function. For each protection is given its use and its power plans. It is stated in the work setting of protection in the real network. On this network is simulated place with short-circuit and described the action of protection. The work also deals with the coordination of protection with automatic circuit breakers. This chapter shows that, given the selectivity is not possible to deploy two or more reclosers (remotely-operated switches) to the core network management. The next chapter describes two representatives reclosers available on the Czech market OSM 27 and GVR 27. Chapter describes and compares their performance characteristics. Conclusion the work includes a proposal protected the lead in incorporating automatic circuit breakers (remotely operated circuit breakers and reclosers). The proposal is based on two different levels of annual number of interruptions and duration of annual general interruption of electricity supply. For these levels the company EGÚ Brno, a.s. proposed several variants of the use of remote-controlled in terms of reducing the cost of the penalty. Our task was to choose a variant that would be applicable in the real network. Reducing costs is feasible only in the limits Ln = 6 failures / year and Lt = 720 min / year, where the selected option No. 4. The limits Ln = 8 failures / year and Lt = 1,080 min / year, not in the real network may no option in terms of selectivity.
