Corruption at the time of Real Socialism applied to the example of General Jan Sejna

This thesis deals with specific elements of corruption in a centrally planned economy and is applied to the case of General Jan Sejna. The introductory chapter focuses on the Czechoslovak economy in the 60 years, especially in comparison with previous years and the specific elements that characterize the period. The work points to factors that allow corruption in a centrally planned economy. Corruption in Real Socialism provides the most concentration of power in the hands of a few, large and confusing bureaucracy and a large power of the state. The empirical part analyzes crime Jan Sejna. The intention of my work is to show that corruption is a system failure and the centrally planned economy existed on the basis of a corruption rules and constraints.

The aim of this thesis is to describe the economic transformation in Czech Republic in 1990-1997 with accent on difference between transformation process in Czech Republic and other transition countries. Theoretical part is based on the description of the model of centrally planned economy and transformation theory. Practical part discuss macroeconomy a microeconomy measures of economic transformation.

Transformation of czech economy in 1989-1996

This work will deal with transition of centrally planned economy to market economy in Czechoslovakia / Czech Republic in years 1989-1996. In the first part I'll focus on the initial situation of Czechoslovak economy in the late eighties. In the next chapter, I'll analyse the process of transformation, and especially deal with the issue of small, large and voucher privatization. In the work is placed emphasis primarily on basic articles of transformation and related approaches and strategies of transformation. Processing of studied issues will resulted from analysis of the latest literature, published sources and unpublished studies of documents in the archive of the Czech National Bank.

Economic Transition of the four Visegrag Countries

The thesis describes some of the economic characteristics of central planned economy, afterwards focuses on goals, strategies and content of transition processes and finally focuses on application of some of the transition steps in the first decade of economic transition process from central planned economy to the market economy in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. The last part summarizes and evaluates some identical and different elements of approaches to the transition process in described countries.

Development of the economy of Czech republic during the transformation

In my work, I compare the development of the economy of the Czech republic during the transformation to the functioning of centrally planned economy. I tried to bring the two systems, evaluate their positive and negative sites, and reflect on whether the whole transformation process really necessary. Characteristics of both systems I have tried to bring to the development of basic macroeconomic indicators -- GDP, inflation and unemployment.

Central controlled economy in Czechoslovakia in the period from 1949 until 1960

The thesis is focused on the central controlled economy in Czechoslovakia in the period from 1945 until 1957. The main role of economy at that time was the fastest possible rehabilitation of the economy destroyed by World War II.. The political situation was undoubtedly setting the trend in the economical development. Postwar decision in the matter of the future optimal economic mechanism was a political choice and the political influence was a significant feature of the central directive economy during its existence. The thesis is focused on the main aspects and conditions of the economical transformation, on the general attributes of the central controlled economy, organizational structure of the national economy, scheduling of production and consumption, formation of prices and wages, on the changes in the banking system and the public finances in Czechoslovakia during the mentioned period.
