International legal aspects of the use of no-pilot aircrafts in a modern armed conflict
Janák, Michal ; Bílková, Veronika (advisor) ; Faix, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with the armed conflict phenomenon of past several years - unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). Despite the fact that the present deployment of UAVs is often presented as a revolutionary, it is possible to track down the roots of remotely controlled planes without crew on board back to the years short after the Second World War. Today's versions of UAVs represent this historical concept brought to perfection thanks to the modern technologies. Their deployments raise legitimate considerations whether they may represent prohibited mean of warfare in terms of humanitarian law or whether their usage is not in contrary to law of armed conflict. This thesis aims to identify those differences between UAVs and traditional piloted aircrafts that may cause different legal classification of the UAVs to the traditional piloted aircrafts. First chapter includes short historical background which may bring interesting connections with political atmosphere after Second World War. It is also pointed out that the concept of unmanned aircrafts is not new. This chapter also includes technical facts and details about current modern UAVs like Predator, Reaper or Global Hawk which may serve for an easier legal analysis. Second chapter deals with the definitions and differences between two main types of armed...
Increasing the safety of the outside perimeter
Janoušek, Jiří ; Fiala, Pavel (referee) ; Marcoň, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with increasing the safety of the external perimeter. The theoretical part describes the parameters of areas exhibiting an increased safety risk. For these spaces, relevant safety hazards and corresponding elimination methods are determined. Then, the term "drone" is analyzed in the context of its applicability. The practical section characterizes the process of building and configuring unmanned aircraft to guard the perimeter and the designing and fabrication of an automatic charging station for the aircraft. The final part of the thesis is a brief manual describing correct handling of the created system.
In-flight measurements of micro aerial vehicles
Málek, Ladislav ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with flight measurements on selected unmanned platforms within the project Detection and monitoring of invasive spieces using unmanned aircraft. Firstly, the project itself and the platform used are presented. The theoretical part is devoted to methods of measuring flight performance. Finally, thesis contains used measurement methodology, processing and evaluating of data.
Economic Evaluation of The Drones in The Revision of The Bridge Structure
Kasíková, Pavla ; Pilař, Ladislav (advisor) ; Zdeněk, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis deals with the economic evaluation of the use of drones in the revision of the bridge structure. The theoretical part focuses on the basic concepts related to unmanned aircraft, the conditions for obtaining permission to fly a UAV work and legislation. Own part covers the use of drones in practice during flights on measurement and inspection of bridges.
Flying robot for geophysical purposes
Mocek, Jurij ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The aim of this work is to propose a construction solution for remote controlled flying machine and to propose way of its management. The work deals with the general way to construct a flying machine with vertical start and concrete solution for construction.
Design of UAV hardware - mechanical and electrical subsystem
Kraus, David ; Hrbáček, Jan (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Main topic of this thesis is creation of platform for testing stabilization and control algorithms for UAV. For chosen suitable model plane was designed a structure of control and power electronics. Research of suitable algorithms was made and some of them were implemented. For this algorithms gains were designed, using simulation. The whole system was tested and validated in flight.
Unmanned Aerial System design competition
Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle for vegetation monitoring
Trojánek, Tomáš ; Pejchar, Jan (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to select the most appropriate platforms for the fulfillment of required flight mission. The first part reviews available unmanned vehicles suitable for vegetation monitoring and includes both commercially available and self-made types. There are presented basic parameters, recommended equipment and tested configuration of each platform. The second part includes graphical comparison of all models in different categories and the most suitable platform has been selected on its basis. The model project which is based on the selected platform is presented in the final section.
Flying robot for geophysical purposes
Mocek, Jurij ; Veverka, Petr (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The aim of this work is to propose construction solutions for remote controlled flying machine with vertical start, hover and vertical landing. One part of work is devoted to measurement of thrust. The last part of work deals with concrete solution for construction.
Summary of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Haman, Tomáš ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Dofek, Ivan (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with summary of unmanned aircraft. There is a reference to their historical development and possible uses for the selected aircraft are their technical parameters, including pictures. Thesis contains several types of UAV division according to various criteria. From these categories was selected a few representatives, which is followed by each of them a few characteristic data. The last part is a comparison of several aircrafts between two close categories.
