Lean company

Lean company could be characterized with high effectivity of internal proceses and sustain elimination of waste. Lean company uses several methods, which are aplicated on many proceses along whole value stream of the product. This essay includes most known and used methods such as: just in time method, kaizen improovement philosophy, based on systematic improovement activities iniciated by employees. Also systems of autonomation in production - jidoka, improoved logistic methods and pull-system using kanban, nivelization of the production flow by heijunka method, error proofing systems poka-yoke, systems of organizing office and workplace 5S. All of it summarized in economic results. In analytical part, trying to find out, whether lean systems take effect in services. Using comparison of two real estate agencies, I have find out that lean systems really exists even in services. Moreover there is a big difference between company that uses, and company which do not.
Productivity

Work is processed on productivity in general and the use of different methods, which are used to increase productivity in a particular company, Schneider Electric a.s.. I am dealing with lean production system, which includes JIT delivery, and many other improvements, which are taken from the production system of Toyota company. I also described the transformation process-driven enterprise, because in this direction we will go in the future. And in the end I enhance the company's performance.

Main objective of this thesis is to determine the efficiency of usage of production factors in the manufacturing process of specific company and to identify indicators of productivity, their variations and reasons for those variations. The thesis further describes the extent to which the company uses the possibilities of increasing the productivity and then suggests the next course of action for streamlining the manufacturing process.

Productivity and its metering

My essay is about productivity and its metering. I distributed it into three parts. In the first part I describe theoretic apparatus. The second part contains calculations of total and partial productivity and year-on-year confrontation. Analysis was made for 6 years, it means from 2003 to 2008. In the last part, there I define possibilities, how we can escalate productivity. I wanted to show you very specific production for pharmaceutical and food-processing industry, for which Pharming a.s. produces.

In a current competitive environment if the company wants to survive and last for a long time it has to be well organized, ruled properly and it must use all of its resources effectively. Effective use should be applied to every resource and production factor on each company level. If using inputs effectively a company might produce a bigger number of products or provide a wider variety of services. The costs and expenses will decline and the revenues from a product will rise. This work's aim is to analyze company's productivity, since it is one of the most important parts of analysis of production system effectiveness.
Dopad PZI na produktivitu -- Spillovers efekty v České republice

This dissertation analyzes productivity changes connected with inflow of foreign direct investment. Specifically indirect effects of foreign direct investment (spillovers) on firms in the Czech Republic in period 2000 -- 2006 are analyzed. As a proxy for productivity spillovers is used total factor productivity, which is retrieved by implementing the Levinsohn -- Petrin technique, which control the simultaneity bias in the production function. Using firm-level data, obtained from Amadeus database, a significant spillovers effects of foreign direct investment on productivity were identified -- a stronger positive impact on upstream sector and weaker negative impact on downstream sector.
Konkurencieschopnosť členských krajín Európskej únie na počiatku nového tisícročia - základné problémy

Konkurencieschopnosť je kocept, ktorým sa snažíme vyjadriť a ohodnotiť potenciál krajiny dosahovať vysokú úroveň prosperity pre svojich obyvateľov. Európska únia prechádza v poslednom období veľkými zmenami, ktoré sa výrazne podpisujú pod jej ekonomickú výkonnosť. Postupujúca globalizácia, demografické zmneny a rozsiahla integrácia spôsobujú, že Európska únia postupne stráca svoje výnimočné postavenie a získava v medzinárodných ekonomických vzťahoch nových konkurentov. Samotná Európska únia si je vedomá klesajúcej konkurencieschopnosti, preto už v roku 2000 vypracovala Lisabonskú stratégiu, ktorá pomenúva hlavné nedostatky - nízky rast HDP, nízka miera zamestnanosti a produktivity.
