Performance tests of cryptographic algorithms
Pospíšil, Karel ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with analysis of the various cryptographic algorithms that are used for securing communications. The first part is devoted to symmetrical cryptographic algorithms, asymmetric cryptographic algorithms and hashing functions. The second part deals with the security classification and attacks that are used to attack cryptographic algorithms and hash function. The third part deals with the selected testing algorithm RC4 and MD5 hashed function for using CrypTool. The final section provides an evaluation and test results of algorithm RC4 and MD5 hashing function.
Communication protocol for messenger
Bílý, Ondřej ; Rášo, Ondřej (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor‘s discuss on theme Communications protocol for messenger and his security. The introduction analysis the basic points of cryptographic security of data. Next two parts deals with the two most used architectures in the area of information network, which helps in understanding of sending data by this network. Penult deals with the creation of the communication channel in between the applications in the information network.. The final part includes description of three uncomplicated applications. This demonstrates the use of various cryptographic securities and various protocols for the sending of information between the users.
Side channels in cryptography
Budík, Lukáš ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with a problem called sidelong cannals in cryptografy. First part describes basic segmentation of cryptografy branch. In addition to this the document mentions some requirements for cryptology system from security angle. In another section basic algorithms and protocols are described which are used in cryptology. Main part of this work is aimed at sidelong cannals problem. Conclusion of this task demonstrates an attack by time-side canal to algorithm RSA.
User verification based on smart-phones
Bělík, David ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to get acquainted with the area of secure authentication and authorization of users in smartphones on the Android platform. Individual types of encoding, authentications, authentication devices and characteristics of QR codes are decribed in the chapters. In the practical part of this thesis the applications are created with an implemented authentication scheme, which is being developed at FEKT VUT in Brno. The client part of the application, that generates QR code, as well as the server part, that verifies the authenticity of the data, are set up.
Cryptographic methods of data security
Miloš, Jiří ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Lambertová, Petra (advisor)
Bachelor‘s thesis on theme Cryptographic methods of data security consists of three parts. In first part are itemized general theoretical principles, which employs in these sphere. There are also mentioned not only contemporaneous but historical cryptographic standards or algorithms. The second part of these bachelor‘s thesis refer to a possibility of breaking these standards. There are described most applied cryptoanalytics principes and their practical using, especially in the sphere of computer networks and their services. The final part contains a description of the development of simple computer application, which demonstrates the use cryptographic methods in the security packages in personal computer.
Web applications for user authentication
Vybíral, Petr ; Dzurenda, Petr (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the problems of user authentication. The first chapter analyzes the problem of authentication, its methods and its utilization. The second chapter presents the different security options for communication. The chapter describes security, communication and authentication protocols. There is the 2D barcode QR Code described at the end of the chapter. The third chapter is devoted to ASP.NET technology, its development and possibilities of utilization. Attention is focused on web form and server controls. There is an analysis of elements of cookies and possibilities of their use. The last chapter consists of a practical part, which describes the development of a web application. There is a description of the parts of application, such as the database, the Web navigation, master pages and etc. in the following chapter. The cardinal part of the chapter consists of an analysis and implementation of forms authentication, the attribute authentication and authentication with QR code. Finally, there is a description of way how to secure the communication by using a certificate.
Electronic geocaching
Pavel, Lukáš ; Babnič, Patrik (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The goal is to design and implement a concept of electronic geocaching with contactless smart card and cell phone with NFC interface. In the first chapter I describe geocaching and try to familiarize the reader with this game. The second chapter deals with the issue of smart cards, I describe here the contact and contactless cards and their security. In the third chapter, I describe use and security of radio communication interface NFC. In the fourth chapter, I describe the principles of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography and selected cryptographic techniques. In the fifth chapter is description of proposed solution for electronic geocaching with digital signature. The last chapter describes all created applications.
System of anonymous data collection
Troják, David ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with contemporary approaches that provide higher protection of privacy of users. It focuses mainly on a group signature. In the practical part of this thesis I designed and implemented PS that is enable to gather information with the help of signal of a mobile device. The application was designed in accordance with fundamental cryptographic requirements such as the authenticity and the integrity of transmitted data. The anonymity of users is guaranteed through an application layer (the group signature) as well as through a network layer (Tor).
Cryptography protocol with public key
Fujdiak, Radek ; Rášo, Ondřej (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The Master thesis is an introduction to cryptology. The Thesis describe cryptosystems and selects one ideal cypher for low-power microcontroler. In thesis provides manual for instal development program COde Composer Studio, basic implementation of selected cryptosystem with small numbers and suggestion for implementation selected cyptosystem with big numbers.
The use of smart-cards in modern cryptography
Kočíř, Michal ; Malina, Lukáš (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
This thesis discusses the general use of smart cards in MULTOS in cryptographic applications. At first is described two types of authentication - the authentication by the subject with focusing on authenticators and the authentication by the knowledge. Furthermore there is the description of the anonymous authentication and attribute authentization. This is followed by a description of smart cards with a focus on MULTOS cards. There is also performed analysis of programmable smart cards .NET, JavaCard and MULTOS. Practical part is focused on the implementation of an authentication scheme, which is being developed at FEEC. The communication of authentication protocol is between the MULTOS card and reader connected to a PC. The protocol is composed of cryptographic functions such as random number generation, hash function, modular exponentiation, modular multiplication and difference of large numbers. It was also implemented the measurement of specific applications.
