Time-frequency analysis of Czech republic gross domestic product
Tráge, David ; Poměnková, Jitka (referee) ; Maršálek, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is to get familier with problematic and concepts of econometrics (GDP, investment, usage and others). We see into used data mainly their characters and expectations and we discuss possibilities of frequention and time-frequention analysis of these data by Fourier and Wavelet transform. Data of quarter development of gross domestic product in Czech Republic, EU and USA will be analysed by the help of programm MATLAB. Data will be filtered by three ekonomic filters: Hodrick-Prescott, Baxter-King and Christiano-Fitzgerald filters. The aim is to find cyclic elements in developments of GDPs and to suggest an optimal type of analysis.
Measurements by sampling computer card - laboratory task
Tomaštík, Roman ; Havránek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the measurement with the help of sampling cards and determination of the basic parameters of the measured signal. There will be described basic characteristics of the used card Alazartech ATS860- 256M and brief description of the programming languages which will control the cards. In these environments there were the created driving programs for the operation of these cards. Main measuring program was created in the language C\C++, that shall work as oscilloscope and the same time as spectral analyzer. This programme will determine basic characteristics of the measured signal. Further there will be created simple preparation for memasuring with this card. In the conclusion of this thesis will create instrutions for laboratory exercise.
Electromyography, measurement of muscle electric activity
Kořínek, Peter ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The task of this thesis was to become acquainted with the issue of measuring of muscle electric activity. In the theoretical part we became familiar with the computer measuringsystem BIOPAC and its options to measure monitored magnitudes. This continue with practical part, in which we watch the problematic according to a theory in a group of people. We learned data with BIOPAC according to protocol of the result of physicaleffort influence on EMG. In the end the results were statistically analysed. The data as a product offallowing research were verified by hypothesis. In thelast step, the data are presented in graphical user interface development environment. After loading of the EMG of measured person, the process are displayed-without, with and after the power with onus. It is possible to choose from different analyses.
Dynamic time warping in biosignal processing
Novobilský, Petr ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
The thesis deals with one of the non-linear methods for signal processing - dynamic time warping (DTW). The method observes shape changes, which should be used in biomedical signals processing. The thesis involves the method description and consecution for finding DTW optimal way. The method is applied on the number series in the edutainment program, on the group of simulated signals and real electrocardiograms (ECG). ECG recordings were gained by performing experiments on the Masaryk University and their aim was clarifying the influence of voltage-sensitive dye on the heart tissue. One-lead ECG was described in time domain, frequency domain, time-frequency domain and subsequently remitted to DTW algorithm. The method outcomes evaluates the diversity rate of ECG signals obtained in each experiment stages. During the data evaluation were followed up the changes in process of the tension-sensible paint application and the stage of scouring toward control. The difference of elaborating signals group was verified in the time domain (37,5 %), in the frequency domain (75 %) and in the time-frequency domain (25 %). However, due to the small data group was not possible to explicitly approve the activity of voltage-sensitive dye on the heart tissue and to determinate limiting value of minimum algorithm way DTW for each heart round electrocardiogram classification. In the more data group analysis it is supposed to manifest the trend of growth heart round ECG differences in the stage of staining toward the stage of scouring.
Integral transforms and their applications
Béreš, Lukáš ; Štarha, Pavel (referee) ; Franců, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with integral transforms and their applications. Its aim is to get together basic properties of Laplace and Fourier transforms and then illustrate their application in solving partial dierential equations, by calculating specic tasks with numerical experiments in MATLAB software.
Analysis of dynamic effects acting on crossings
Vukušičová, Daniela ; Vukušič, Ivan (referee) ; Smutný, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on measurement and analysis of dynamic effects on railway turnouts. Two turnouts with different wear condition were chosen. My attention was focused mainly on the crossing part of the turnout, where the highest dynamic impacts occur. The point of the thesis is comparison of the crossing part of turnouts in term of dynamic behaviour and assessment of influence of the wearing depth on dynamic effects. A part of the thesis is proposal of methodology of the measurement and convenient mathematical apparatus for analysing of dynamic effects on crossings.
A note on tension spline
Segeth, Karel
Spline theory is mainly grounded on two approaches: the algebraic one (where splines are understood as piecewise smooth functions) and the variational one (where splines are obtained via minimization of quadratic functionals with constraints). We show that the general variational approach called smooth interpolation introduced by Talmi and Gilat covers not only the cubic spline but also the well known tension spline (called also spline in tension or spline with tension). We present the results of a 1D numerical example that show the advantages and drawbacks of the tension spline.
Analysis of thermal plasma radiation by Fourier transform, wavelet analysis and phase portraits
Gruber, Jan ; Šonský, Jiří ; Hlína, Jan
Combination of various methods for signal analysis, including Fourier transform, wavelet analysis and time-embeddings provide alternate views on thermal plasma dynamics. We have recorded and analyzed radiation of cutting plasma torch during the whole cathode life-cycle (from the new unworn cathode to the cathode failure). Changes in dynamics during cathode lifecycle lead to regular oscillations expressed in signal spectra, in sudden discontinuities caused by released molten particles detected by wavelet analysis and overall dynamics change expressed in reconstructed phase portraits by time-embeddings. We present all these various views on changing dynamics to illustrate complexity of this dynamics.
Estimating the volatility of electricity prices: the case of the England and Wales wholesale electricity market
Tashpulatov, Sherzod N.
Price fluctuations that partially comove with demand are a specific feature inherent to liberalized electricity markets. The regulatory authority in Great Britain, however, believed that sometimes electricity prices were significantly higher than what was expected and, therefore, introduced price-cap regulation and divestment series.

Novák, Petr ; Man, Petr ; Stodůlková, Eva ; Ivašková, E. ; Flieger, Miroslav
Peptides eluted from HLA-B27 molecules of peripheral blood leukocytes (PBL) of healthy blood donors (HLT) and AS patients were analyzed by MALDI mass spectrometry and ESI mass spectrometry. Similarity within HLT and AS data sets was evaluated
