Hejl, Martin ; Pavláková Dočekalová, Marie (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the recycling of plastics and the analysis of the recycling process of PET bottles in the company PETKA CZ, a.s. In the last analysis of the work influencing the ways to obtain input material for the production of recycling from PET bottles, management of plastic waste, proposals for improving the production of this company and at the same time the possibilities of reducing waste in the production of recycling. Furthermore, this work describes the legislative regulation of environmental protection, general principles of recycling, how to recycle the company PETKA CZ, a.s. It currently determines and at the same time how we could recycle this to use in the future.
Materials based on the foam glass of secondary raw materials
Hons, Oto ; Petránek,, Vít (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
In the theoretical part of diploma thesis basic knowledge about glass are given (materials, production process, a brief overview of glass products for construction industry) and statistics of waste production, primarily with an emphasis on various types of waste glasses were also mentioned. The following chapters of the thesis are focused on waste glass processing technologies. Various studies about the application of waste or recycled glass in manufacturing of building materials are summarized. In the practical part of diploma thesis were suggested appropriate secondary raw materials that were used to prepare materials based on thermally modified glass foam. In the practical part of the thesis was carried out a set of experiments and analysis, including evaluation in terms of the proposed alternative fillers and materials made of them.
Riverside House
Bolcek, Roman ; Mačuda, Michal (referee) ; Vítek, Jiří (advisor)
It is a residential bridge over the Thames. The combination of two shores, where the structures form a program that is missing in the given territory. Structures are designed as self-conscious, and in addition they form a solar power plant.
The Use of Alternative Sources in the Building Industry
Dvořák, Jakub ; Vymazal, Tomáš (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of waste as alternative raw materials in construction industry. The first part is dedicated to the historical development of waste management, to the valid legislation in the Czech Republic in 2017 and outlines the distribution of waste according to various criteria. The information about waste production and waste management is processed in the form of tables and graphs. The more extensive second part of the thesis uses theoretical knowledge in the field of waste management and on the base of the Waste Separation Catalog is composed a list of waste materials which can be used in construction industry. Further are described the possibilities of suitable waste utilization at production and also mentioned some particular construction products with their features.
Harvesting of materials from wastewater and sludge
Boubínová, Marie ; Chorazy, Tomáš (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of recycling raw materials from wastewater and sewage sludge with emphasis on phosphorus. The first part of the thesis deals with the problems associated with resources of phosphorus, the use of the legislative and recycling of phosphorus. Then, physico-chemical and biological methods of phosphorus recycling from wastewater and products of their further processing at WWTPs are discussed. Phosphorus recycling is also described in terms of the circular economy, which is explained at the end of the first part of this thesis. The second part of this thesis is a technical-economic research for a specific WWTP over 50 thousand. PE in the Czech Republic. The available technologies for recycling phosphorus from wastewater, sewage sludge and sewage sludge ash are described alsonhere. Then, the technologies are compared and evaluated.
Cold recycling
Šperka, Pavel ; Stehlík, Dušan (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis focuses on the processing of knowledge of flexible pavements cold recycling, especially on the technologies if full depth reclamation and partial cold recycling in-place and the benefits or reasons for the increased use in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis the current status of selected sections, which were made by practical cold in-place recycling technology, is evaluated. In the end of the work the success of this technology is evaluated.
Recyclation of dust from production of dry mortar blends
Ondrůšková, Nela ; Novotný, Radoslav (referee) ; Šoukal, František (advisor)
The work deals with the problem of disposal of ever-increasing waste (dust) from the production of building materials and examines the possibility of recycling dust dust into cement repair mortar. The aim of this work was to determine the composition of individual dust particles from the production of cement mixtures and to determine their mechanical properties, as well as to determine the ideal ratio of dust particles to each other when mixing the dust mixture and its mechanical properties. This mixture consisted mainly of dust from products based on Portland cement, aluminous cement, gypsum and lime hydrate. The mixture further replaced part of the cementitious mortar and the impact of the additive on the mechanical properties of the cementitious mortar was determined. X-ray fluorescence spectrometry was used to determine the elemental composition, and X-ray diffraction analysis was used to determine the mineralogical composition. Test specimens were prepared according to the ČSN EN 12390 standard. Mechanical strength tests were performed on the test specimens. A large part of the test specimens could not be subjected to mechanical tests because the test specimen did not solidify even after a long time. The individual measurements that could be made show that the mechanical properties of the dust samples show values which have shown that the dust cannot be recycled into the product due to its instability. Dust particles have too diverse composition and in combination with cementitious repair mortar do not have the required properties. The problem is especially the sampling from the data, which did not solidify at all and thus excluded the remaining samples with already good properties of the same sample. When designing the method of recycling, it was necessary to take into account which product of the company is most in demand, where recycling would also make economic sense, which is also an important indicator for the operation of the company today. Dust particles could prove successful in another product, but it would not be advantageous for the company now, so now the recycling of dust particles will not start and they will be further disposed of in the same way.
Mobile Machineries Used for Grinding of Aggregates and Recycled Materials from Building Waste
Hurník, Štěpán ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis is the introduction to the problem of grinding natural materials and recycling building waste by mobile crushing machinery. The first part of work includes a detailed description of crushers themselves and differences between them. Next basic machine development is dealt with, as well as questions evoked by this topic. These questions are concerned with the mobility and problems of recycling. Further, there are current market offers for the preformance given. It deals with the parameters of the individual machines, on which their mutual comparison is given and displayed in graphs. The final part of the thesis consists of the general evaluation of machines for the above-mentioned purposes from different points of view: comparsion, market supply and a careful view into the possible future progress.
MERINA 2.0
Ambrosová, Katarína ; Goluchová, Martina (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The aim is to create a vision for the future development of a problematic brownfield near the city center of Trenčín. The territory of former MERINO textile factory next to the military barracks, park and railway station is for long neglected, but still valuable in terms of urbanism, industrial heritage and new urban potential. The project will focus on the realistic spatial restructuring of the area and on the search for its new functional content.
The usage of the recycled aggregates to roads from the point of view of economical and ecological conception
Trávníček, Dušan ; Varaus, Michal (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on decision making process connected with the usages of recycled and natural aggregates in a road construction. In the research I deal with the ways of recycling and their economic and environmental benefits for society. The practical part then uses this information to bring the real results.
