Babybox as a part of our society: Opinions of parents in Pelhřimov region on a postponing of a nearly two-year-old child to a babybox in Pelhřimov Hospital.

This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I focused on the basic theory of babyboxes, their history, location, usability and the rationale behind putting unwanted children into babyboxes. Foster care and adoption are also looked at. In the conclusion of the theoretical part I discuss possible preventive measures and some ethical issues related to this topic. For the practical part I have used qualitative research. I asked questions of five pre-selected interviewees from the Pelhřimov region concerning their opinion on babyboxes and babyboxes located in Pelhřimov Hospital. I held a semi-structured interview with Mr. Ludwig Hess. He is the founder of babyboxes in the Czech Republic. He provided an opinion of one that was used on a boy of nearly two years of age at Pelhřimov Hospital. The aim of this thesis is to find out the opinions of selected interviewees about babyboxes and the motivation behind their use on a two-year-old child. I compare the obtained data with my opinion and with the opinion of Mr. Ludwig Hess.

The diploma thesis called The issue of confidentality and notification obligation in the low-threshold center for children and youth and in the authority of social and legal protection of the children deals with the conflict of mandatory confidentiality and notification obligation and its resolution. Respectively by looking at the issue by individual social workers in various social institutions. These are social workers from low- threshold centers for children and youth and social workers from authorities for social and legal protection of children. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The whole work contains ten chapters and subchapters. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether social workers in low- threshold centers for children and youth and in authorities for social and legal protection for children resolve the conflict of mandatory confidentiality and notification obligation by a more ethical or legal point of view.

Master's Degree Thesis. The object of this work is to identify the weaknesses of the current system of the alternative care by comparing casuistry with the standards of quality. I use casuistry of the current or former clients of foster care. In the first part I put the topic of social and legal protection of children into context of international and constitutional documents. There is also a chapter about the Standars Quality4Children. Then I focus on the situation in the Czech republic. I start with the descripction of the current system and finish with the process of transformation of the system of care for children at risk. The bill changing the Act No. 359/1999 Coll. on the social and legal protection of children was published. Tutorship (as type of guardianship). The thesis deals with a guardianship, with the most important historical milestones in a guardianship evolution and with the guardianship legislation in the Czech Republic taking into account guardianship legislation in the Federal Republic of Germany. Through the guardianship is provided alternative legal protection of legally incompetent minor lacking necessary legal protection. The aim of the guardianship is ensuring an appropriate alternative legal protection of ward's legal matters. The thesis is dividend into two parts and eight chapters. The first part is devoted to the most important codifications which in my opinion influenced the development of the guardianship on our territory the most. The first part deal with guardianship legislation in the Roman law, provincial and municipal law, in the General Civil Code and marginally about guardianship legislation contained in the Act of family law and in the Family Code. Motivational factors of foster parents

Foster care is currently a topic that arouses certain controversy in society, which often stems from ignorance of this type of alternative family care. In the diploma thesis, with the help of the analysis, the domestic system of substitute family care was comprehensively described with a focus on foster care. This system was subsequently compared with foreign systems. The work also deals with the identification of the main motivational factors that are essential for the performance of foster care. To find out important information about the motivational factors of foster care, the method of a questionnaire survey was used, which was conducted with foster parents and also with persons without experience with foster care. The questionnaire survey with foster parents showed that the main motivating factor for foster parents is selfless help for children in institutional care. The questionnaire survey with people without experience with foster care showed that their motivation for foster care would be stimulated by helping children in institutional care and efforts to provide family facilities for such children. Social worker and his position in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the profession of social worker of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The main topics of the thesis are the ethical codex, dilemmas of a social worker, methods of social work, requirements on expert knowledge, roles, target groups of social work and social services. The thesis independently defines a social worker as a social curator for adults, a social curator for minors, describes family and case conferences, points out the possibility of burnout syndrome and the importance of supervision. The attention is devoted to obstacles identified by the social worker in the exercise of his profession at the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. The second part of the thesis contains a questionnaire survey that observes and compares the positions and opinions of these social workers on their profession. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the position and prestige of a social worker at the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children.
