The thesis is split into two main parts. The first theoretical part contents the basic theory, where are described the financial funds, the basic theory of the wastewater treatment and also the problematic of multi-criteria decision making and it´s methods. Mentioned methods relate to solving the problems of decision-making situations. The second practical part performs particulary solution of the given problem. In the practical part are used all identified findings and background materials for evaluation and for selection the right decision making situation. This would be solved by application of mathematical methods. All identified results, that used mathematical methods, are evaluated and suggested to the representatives of the municipality. They referred the results to the general contractor.
Choice of the optimal heating system for particular municipal office
Marcellová, Miluše ; Houška, Milan (advisor) ; Martin, Martin (referee)
The current trends in sources of heat designed for heating the houses are influenced by the consequences, that interfere in the decision making process from the professional point of view (the advisory activity by the expert) as well as from non-professional point of view (the owner or the operator of the house, usually represented by one person). The aim of this thesis is to find the optimal method, that is supposed to secure disinterested decision making, that will be minimally influenced by the subjective experience, customs and also by the advice given by the friends of the decision maker. The thesis concerns the town hall, that will be insulated in the future. Therefore it is eligible to propose to change the heating source, as the current one will be redundant, once the insulation is done. Using the old heating system would be uneconomical. The current heating source is the gas boiler JUNKERS CERAPUR. The energy (heat) loss of the town hall building will be lowered by 50 % once the insulation is done.
Operations research methods in companies
Lisný, Jozef ; Kvasnička, Roman (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
This thesis is focused on the application of operations research methods for selecting right accounting software for City Med Ltd., based on relevant criteria, which were determined by an expert of a company. City Med Company Ltd. It is a private medical facility that provides outpatient and rehabilitation protection in some medical fields. Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part explains basic concepts, such as operational research, multi-criteria decision making s or multi-criteria variant analysis. Methods of operational research are economic-mathematical methods that facilitate and accelerate work of individuals or businesses. Their continual development is proved by continuous invention of new methods of calculations. Multi-criteria variant analysis is then used to select the best option from the final list of criteria. In the practical part consist of calculations using operational research methods, scoring method and TOPSIS method, by criteria that were set by companys expert and final list of options of accounting programs. In the end, it is decided which accounting software is the most convenient according to established criteria, and that one is recommended for implementation to City Med Ltd.
Decision making in SMEs
Celba, Šimon ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Radim, Radim (referee)
The goal of the work is the creation of a system for decision making support in the company BSL, s.r.o.. The system for the decision making is to resolve the problem with decision making in choosing personal computers for the companys partners. In the thesis a system for decision making for the company BSL is suggested, as well as its functions and the methodology it utilizes are clearly described. The abilities of the systems are introduced through realistic computations during the choice of a personal computer for individual BSL partners. The results are interpreted through a user interface where the individual options of interaction and users system functions are described. The conclusion of the work includes the results of the individual computations along with suggestion of the best personal computer for individual partners.
Application of decision-making models for choosing a pathway
Šťastný, Pavel ; Houška, Milan (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
The aim of this thesis is, by using the methods of multi-criteria decision, to design and recommend a suitable variant of the communication for the pedestrian for the preparation of a tender documentation for the public tender in the village of Dolany. The issue of the decision-making processes in the selection of the optimal variants using the methods of multi-criterial decision-making is analyzed in the literature research of the publication. The description of multi-criteria methods reflects the subsequent procedure of the calculation in the practical part. Research also deals, regarding to the theme of the publication, with selected requirements in the procurement, sub-targets of the tender documentation for the selection procedure and a brief specification of the communication for the pedestrian. The practical part of the thesis starts with the description of the village of Dolany and the preparation for the setting the options. The determination of the possible variants and the choice of different criteria follow. The selection of the compromise variants is carried out using the method of the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) for the possibility of inclusion also qualitative criteria which cannot be fitted into the framework of the tender documentation. In the end, the selected option is recommended to the village of Dolany.
Evaluation of the suppliers of KVM Impex, s.r.o.
Popelík, Tomáš ; Houška, Milan (advisor) ; Horáková, Tereza (referee)
The bachelor thesis predominantly focuses on the use of multi-criteria decision analysis for the solution of the optimal selection of existing suppliers of a selected company. The objective of this thesis is to analyse data with methods of multi-criteria decision-making and to make a recommendation to the managing directors of a tire dealercompany. With the inflow of non-European suppliers (producers) who are entering the Czech market, it is necessary to closely followtheselected productportfolio of these suppliers. Consequently, it is essential to analyse it and to select, which suppliers are the most suitable ones, and then to strenghten and deepen mutualcooperation with these suppliers. The first part of the thesis is focused on a theoretical description of the Saaty Model, as well as of theAspiration Level Model, Scoring Model, Ranking Model, Weighted Sum Model and the TOPSIS Model, including practical examples of all these models. All mentioned models are then applied in the second part of this bachelor thesis. The elimination of suppliers with a narrow product portfolio was performed based on an analysis according to the Aspiration Level Model. The Saaty Model, theScoring Model, and the Ranking Modelfor the subjective criteria evaluation were used for the determination of the ranking of suppliers in the portfolio. This final suppliers ranking can be recommended to the company's decision-makers as the most suitable strategy for the deepening of the cooperation with suppliers.

Maček, Jiří ; Dömeová, Ludmila (advisor) ; Hlavatý, Robert (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the theme Multiple Criteria Decision Making in Firm Practise. The aim of the thesis is to choose an appropriate sowing machine for the company Agro K+M s. r. o. The beginning of the theoretical part describes the definitions of the basic terms which are connected to the theme. The following overview is concerning the most important theories of the decision making and their related elements. The thesis uses some of the methods of the multiply criteria decision making. At the end of the theoretical part, there is a description of some important terms such as the ploughing and the no-ploughing soil tillage. The practical part applies the appropriate methods of multiply criteria analysis of variants in the selection of universal sowing machine. At first there are established criteria, afterwards there is used the Saaty Method of quantitative pair-wise comparison. As the best alternative is used Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for the calculation of the benefits of individual variants. At the end of the bachelor thesis, variants are ordered according to their benefits. The best variant is consulted with the user. Keywords: Multiple Criteria Decision Making, model, weight, firm practise, Multiple Criteria Analysis of Variant, criterion
