Methodology for designing the dead end tracks
Guziur, Petr ; Týfa,, Lukáš (referee) ; Kohout,, Martin (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
This work aim is designing of dead-end tracks with focus mainly on the friction buffer stop design. There are numerous factors in decision-making process of ending the dead-end track, such as position of the track in station, level of train control system, area capabilities, number and types of trains that regularly run on the track, etc. The recherche part of this work shows that friction buffer stop is the most suitable construction and preferred type of ending the dead-end track abroad. This is the reason for paying attention to that type of buffer stop with emphasis on the process of design itself. This work includes design of a program using a spreadsheet editor and Visual basic to make the design of friction buffer stop easier. There are described selected factors with highest impact on the design.
Solar Wind Modification in the Earth Foreshock
Urbář, Jaroslav ; Němeček, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Souček, Jan (referee) ; Vandas, Marek (referee)
Title: Solar Wind Modification in the Earth Foreshock Author: Jaroslav Urbář Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: Prof. Zdeněk Němeček, Department of Surface and Plasma Science Abstract: The thesis presents statistical studies of the solar wind deceleration and deflection in the foreshock and its potential causes. The multi-point observa- tions from the THEMIS mission in the foreshock are compared with a Wind solar wind monitor with motivation to estimate different factors influencing evolution of solar wind speed and its deflection. We have found a systematic deceleration of the solar wind mainly due to its proton component with a decreasing distance to the bow shock that is controlled by the compressibility and the level of magnetic field fluctuations in the ULF wave range associated with the flux of reflected and accelerated particles. We can conclude that the reflected particles excite waves of large amplitudes that decelerate the solar wind protons throughout the foreshock as well as in front of the Moon. Keywords: Earth foreshock; reflected protons; solar wind proton velocity recon- struction; deceleration; ULF waves 1
Analysis of the influence of misuse and tire inflation on the stability of the vehicle in a limit situation
Porč, Karel ; Panáček, Vladimír (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on incorrect inflation and incorrect use of tires in extreme situations. In the first part, a search of previously created works is reported. This is followed by the elaboration of the basic theory, which describes the driving dynamics of the vehicle, braking and construction, marking, wear and inflation of tires. The next part is the measurement and evaluation of the effect of incorrect inflation and use of tires. Braking deceleration and evasive maneuvers were performed as tests. The third part is an evaluation and summary of the situation.
Analysis of Selected Manoeuvres of Bicyclists
Špačková, Kateřina ; Belák, Michal (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis Analysis of selected manoeuvres of bicyclists deals with the history and development of the bicycles, further their division of, construction, analysis accident and national legislation in the theoretical part. The practical part of the master thesis is devoted to the measurements of the bicycles. Specifically, it is about acceleration, deceleration, transverse movement, ride in the curve and looking back before changing the direction. For measuring are selected different type of bikes with different construction. The results of individual measurements are evaluated in the end of the diploma thesis.

Zrychlená společnost a hnutí Slow Movement
ŠITNEROVÁ, Simona
This bachelor thesis focuses on the phenomenon of accelerated society and global thought movement the Slow Movement, as a response to this social trend of recent centuries. Firstly, the author describes the historical development of the social accelerating in addition to its impact on humanity and environment, which, it is found out, are often significantly negative. Subsequently, the study describes the historical and cultural differences in human perception of time and the different pace of life of selected countries and nations of the world. Furthermore, the study focuses attention on the first tendency toward a slowdown that began to emerge in the society at the modern time, and increasingly was asserted in the postmodern age. The main part of the work represents a global movement Slow Movement, the circumstances of its origin, development in time, and the main ideas of the whole concept. Through a detailed description of each thematic branch of the Slow Movement, there are also presented specific methods and guidelines for the implementation of life in accordance with the slow philosophy. The conclusion summarizes the main findings and insights that have been achieved in the study, voiced suggestions for the future research, as well as a brief reflection on the prospects of potential future success and further expansion of the Slow Movement thoughts.
Velocity and agility skills in football
Červenka, Daniel ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Velocity and agility skills in football. Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the velocity of movement of players due to the change in direction. Assessment of the direction changes when moving to a successful test result. Mutual comparison of the decelaration and acceleration at a given distance. Methods: Measured group consisted of 15 players with these athropometric values (age = 17-18 years, height = 178 ± 4.58 cm, weight = 72 ± 2.35 kg). Players completed the warm-up prior to testing (activation stretching, stretching, warm up and subsequent motion game). Measured tested portion was 5m, followed by turning on the predefined leg and running backwards to the photocell gate. Each player completed 2 attemps on the right and 2 attemps on the left leg. Method for evaluating the kinematics used 2D video analysis. For video processing software was used Virtual Dub 1.4 (VirtualDub.org) cut processing records mileage and kinetic analysis was performed using software, Bio TEMA (ImageSystems Ltd., Sweden). Results: The results are as follows : third player had the fastest time in all attempted turns 5,76 m/s. The best result turning on the left had the twelve player who reached 5,54 m/s. In conclusion i would like to concentrate on the speed component after a difficult coordination...
Analysis of Selected Manoeuvres of Bicyclists
Doseděl, Jan ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
Master thesis titled “Analysis of selected manoeuvres of bicyclists” in the first part deals with the history of bicycles, construction, division of bicycles and introduces–traffic accidents of cyclists and national legislation. Practical measurements with bicyclists is in the second part of this thesis. Cyclists performed deceleration on three surfaces, acceleration and a manoeuver, in which cyclist looked behind himself before changing the direction. The evaluation of all measurements and comparison with other similar works has been made in the last chapters.
Measuring of deceleration of heavy goods vehicles (greater than 12 tonnes) when slowing down using the motor
Süttő, Daniel ; Haring, Andrej (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with measuring the deceleration of lorries when they are braked by the engine. The weight of the vehicles given is bigger than 12 tons. The thesis can be divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part there are special presumptions to manage the given problem successfully. The stress is on the construction of lorries and on driving resistances which influence the process of deceleration a lot. The thesis also analyses the technical solution of each possibilities of braking and also the function of the gearbox. In the practical part the method of measuring is described. The measurement devices are also given through which the measurements were realized. The main part of this work is made by measured values of each lorries and the interpretation of measured values itself. The final evaluation of measured data are mentioned at the end of the thesis.
