Comparison of speed measurement by hydrometric propeller and laser anemometer
Kosík, Ondřej ; Haluza,, Miloslav (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This final thesis deals primarily with the comparison of two calibration approaches. It determines the degree of mutual agreement and tries to answer the reasons of their deviations. This agreement was measured by the LDA method. It was found that the calibration approach based on the reference framework of values of the previous bachelor thesis differs systematically from the calibration using calibration equations obtained from certified laboratories by -2 %. The causes of this deviation were investigated using LDA and PIV. Although a significant number of measurements were performed, all tested hypotheses were refuted and therefore it was not possible to determine their cause.
Person Identification and Verification Using EEG
Žitný, Roland ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Tinka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a brain-computer interface that reliably identifies and verifies a person using his electroencephalographic signals. Creating a user profile and verifying it is based on processing reactions to his own face, and the face of strangers or acquaintances. Algorithms such as bandpass and noise removal using wavelet transformation are user to filter signals. The classification of reactions is performed using a convolutional neural network or linear discriminant analysis. The average accuracy of the linear discriminant analysis is 66.2 % and of the convolutional neural network is 58.7 %. The maximum achieved accuracy was with linear discriminant analysis and at 93.7 %.
Získavanie a analýza dát pre oblasť crowdfundingu
Koštial, Martin
The thesis deals with data acquisition from crowdfunding and their analysis. The theoretical part is focused on the description of available technologies and algorithms for data analysis. In the practical part the data collection is realized. Data mining and text mining algorithms are applied in this section for data.
Time evolution of velocity distribution in the specific area of the calibration channel
Kosík, Ondřej ; Žoužela, Michal (referee) ; Zubík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the verification and determination of the degree of reliability of the calibration track. The mean speed values for individual reference speeds, which ranged from 0,0507-1,4036 m•s-1, were measured by LDA. With increasing speed, the mean square deviation also increased, reaching the highest value of 0,0034 m•s-1. The percentage deviation, which is core value for the given measurement, on the other hand, changed inversely with respect to the mean values of the speed and its values ranged from 0,242-0,473 %.
Semantic Similarity of Texts
Hajdin, Martin ; Otrusina, Lubomír (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This paper deals with the determination of the semantic similarity of texts focusing on categorization of web documents in this case bookmarks. The part of the process is a theoretical overview of methods for system implementation. It describes the design and implementation of the various methods used in the system, too. This paper also deals with the evaluation of various methods where the chosen method are tested according to specified criteria.
Testing of a transparent model of a pressure-swirl nozzle
Sapík, Marcel ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to put a transparent scaled PMMA model of the pressure swirl nozzle into operation, which includes, the selection of working fluids and the preparation of a test set to allow measurements using optical methods (LDA, PDA, PIV, high-speed visualization). The theoretical part describes the basic theory of atomization, optical measurement methods and deals with the problems of optical transition in optically complex systems. It also includes an extensive search for transparent liquids and materials of enlarged models that have been used in experiments, which often aim to match light refractive indices between these materials. In the practical part, attention is paid to the preparation of the test set and tests of chemical effects of several selected liquids on PMMA material are conducted, including a summary of experience with their use, as there was a permanent damage to the material. Several LDA measurements followed, using kerosene, p-cymene, 1-bromonaphthalene and water, evaluated the effect of the refractive index difference on the results. It turned out that no observable influence occurred if the refractive index difference between the nozzle material and the liquid was small. In addition, a visualization of internal flow through a high-speed camera was made. The practical part closes the static pressure measurement in the nozzle chamber, where the pressure ratio was measured on the walls of the chamber as well as on its axis. The measurement confirmed that the pressure on the chamber walls is constant and varies with the distance from the chamber axis.
Methods and algorithms for face recognition
Soukup, Jiří ; Heriban, Pavel (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (advisor)
This work is describing basic methods of face recognition. The methods PCA, LDA, ICA, trace tranfsorm, elastic bunch graph map, genetic algorithm and neural network are described. In practical part, the PCA, PCA + RBF neural network and genetic algorithms are implemented. The RBF neural network is used in the way of clasificator and genetic algorithm is used for RBF NN training in one case and for selecting eigenvectors from PCA method in the other case. This method, PCA + GA, called EPCA, outperform other methods tested in this work on the ORL testing database.
Reconstruction of the face using skull:analysis of CT images of the head of adult Czech population
Drgáčová, Anna ; Velemínská, Jana (advisor) ; Brůžek, Jaroslav (referee)
AJ Knowledge of the soft facial tissues is the basis of any craniofacial reconstruction. It is of a great importance mainly for forensic practice, but it plays an important role in other fields, for example aesthetic surgery. Defining the thickness of facial tissues for different sexes, age and ethnic groups is an important aspect of forensic anthropology. The thesis specialises in finding out the thickness of soft facial tissues in modern czech population, it takes into consideration the sex, age and assymetry. The main source of information are the CT scans of the heads of 46 adult women and 56 adult men of czech nationality ranging between ages 21 to 83. 80 landmarks are defined in each scan, therefore 40 linear measurements between corresponding points have been evaluated. Data were analysed using the PCA, Hotelling test, linear discrimination analysis, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, MANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis test and Wilcoxon paired test. Retrieved thicknesses of soft tissues will serve as the standards for the current czech population. Sexual dimorphism has been proven regarding the whole face, as well as both upper and lower parts of the face. The success of classification on the upper part of the face decresases significantly. Aging has been proven to have strong effect on the thickness of soft...
Evaluation approaches of flow inside agitated vessels
Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Šulc, R.
The description of main evaluation approaches of flow inside agitated vessels is demonstrated on data obtained by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and compared with PIV (Particle Image Velocity) data. The results of three methods are presented and evaluated using vortex identification method. The evaluation method effect on calculations of total dissipation energy is discussed.
Proudové pole na výtoku z radiálního míchadla, porovnání LDA a PIV měření
Kysela, Bohuš ; Konfršt, Jiří ; Chára, Zdeněk ; Jašíková, D. ; Němcová, L. ; Kopecký, V.
Two velocity measurement methods in discharged stream from Rushton turbine are compared. The tested methods are LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometry) and stereo TR PIV (Time Resolved Particle Image Velocimetry). The discrepancy of evaluated data from stereo PIV affected by transforming recalculation in discharged stream is presented.
