Limitation of actions in civil law with regard to the newly adopted Civil Code
Bogdanovich, Artem ; Švestka, Jiří (advisor) ; Salač, Josef (referee)
INSTITUT PROMLČENÍ V OBČANSKÉM PRÁVU S PŘIHLÉDNUTÍM K NOVĚ PŘIJATÉMU OZ RESUMÉ IN ENGLISH RESUMÉ IN ENGLISH LIMITATION OF ACTIONS IN CIVIL LAW WITH REGARD TO THE NEWLY ADOPTED CIVIL CODE The limitation of actions is a significant private law institute reflecting an impact of passing of time on rights. Its basic construction remaining almost unchangeable for ages contains a big amount of variables being subject to modification following a direction of private law development. Mentioned above matches the tendency of amendments to the limitation of actions legislation contained in the new civil code. The drift towards liberalization is one of the most obvious tendencies. It manifests itself beside other matters by shifting from obligatory to none-obligatory character of provisions. That matter of fact is being reflected in the new civil code's limitation of actions legislation by entitling the subjects to depart from a prescribed period of limitation length. Another private law inclination being found in the new civil code limitation of actions legislation, might be defined as a protection of a subject having the right reinforcement. It is presented primarily by determining the subjective nature of a general three-year long period of limitation valid for all rights of a property character which are subject to...
Representation of Everydayness in the Works of Group 42
LENCOVÁ, Pavla
The subject matter of this dissertation is the ways of representing the everydayness of life in poetic texts authored by members of Group 42. Of special interest is the category of time, as the transformation of understanding of this category is one of the cornerstone aspects of modern literature in the first half of the 20th century. Time as a category is reflected in Group 42 poetry through three principles used by the Group 42 authors to grasp and work with the time-space continuum and the place of humans in it. The fundamental principle of Group 42 poetry, which will be discussed in this thesis, is the fragmentarization principle. Using a fragment, the poet grasps the present, multi-layered moment and represents temporal discontinuity. Another principle of representation of everydayness the thesis will concentrate on is the principle of variations, which represents heading towards a unifying grasp of discontinuous everydayness. As opposed to the previous ways, notation in the form of diary entries then allows for the ability to better formulate the dynamics of successive temporal flow of everyday reality. The possibility of formulating the temporal mode on the field of a lyrical work is yet another topic discussed here. The temporal mode is then reflected in relation to the "myth of the modern humus", the proclamation of which was on the agenda of Group 42 in its time.
"Batova dalnice": Retrospective assessment of the potential impacts of an unrealized infrastructure project on the development of Czechoslovakia
TKANÝ, Petr
The aim of this thesis was to try to analyse data available on the potential impact of unrealized transport project (called Baťova dálnice) in Czechoslovakia. The study area selected was limited to area of today´s Czech Republic. The data available were processed in geographic information systems and analysis of accessibility were created for predefined regional centres. Analysis of economic impact on economically active population caused by this project was also created while considering current route of existing main D1 motorway. The results of these analysis were compiled into well-arranged maps. Based on these results a conclusion was made that construction of Bata motorway did not mean such a difference for the accessibility of the regional centres as it could have had if it was routed in a different way. Same problem occurs in the results of the economic impact analysis in which when compared to D1 motorway, Bata motorway did not reach the same values as the D1 did.
To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem
Juránek, Marek ; Svojanovský, Viktor (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
The terminal is becoming a heart of traffic in Dvur Kralove nad Labem. Linking of train and bus transport is inspired by a shape of a “courtyard” - open space, that is surrounded by buildings. This is a stage where acts of transportation, meetings, happiness and worries take place every day. Space has been designed so people don’t only use it for a purpose of transport, but also to enjoy moments of free time. The appearance gives a futuristic impression, however respects city’s history and tries to enrich its surroundings, so it doesn’t become just another place where people like to spend their time. Although trains and buses enter terminal from 21st century, design respects also its history as well as surroundings and use a form and function to promote them. “courtyard” terminal is a place for meetings and goodbyes, where a time flows and journey to adventure begins.

Opltová, Z.: The tie - friendship [Bachelor thesis] Prague 2011 - Charles University Faculty of Education, Art Education Department 48s. (Attachments: artistic dialogues, 7 pieces, size approximately A3-A2; photographs of chosen ar- tistic dialogues' details, size A3, 14 pieces.) The work is focused on the examination of the theme friendship as a tie among people. In the first part the theoretical observations about friendship are collected, based mainly on sociology, psy- chology, philosophy, art and own experience. In the practical part the process of experimenting is described, with an integration of friendship into an art projection. The aim of my art part of this thesis was to perform a kind of creative experiment among me and my close friends. It was a creative dialogue. Communication took place through the creation of art on paper. The whole process I photographed and filmed, so I could cut it into a short presentation. The results of the experiment are therefore a common communications created artwork and video cut from the process. From the finished work chose every creator detail that his own way. To that described their feel- ings and the situation in the making, which binds to detail. Interesting is who chose what detail and how she described it. This case presents a personal...
Fragmentation and Disjointedness in Samuel Beckett's Plays
Halášková, Lucie ; Pilný, Ondřej (advisor) ; Armand, Louis (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to explore different levels of fragmentation and disjointedness in Samuel Beckett's Endgame, Krapp's Last Tape, Happy Days, and Play. Firstly, certain concepts are exposed as being fragmentary. The concepts which are examined in relation to fragmentation and disjointedness are language, time, identity, and reality. The motivation behind this part of the research was to expose the subjectivity and multiplicity of these concepts, and to examine how they function in the four treated plays. Furthermore, this thesis seeks to examine Beckett's use of fragmentation and disjointedness in correlation with incompleteness, examining the importance of what is present but also what is absent in the treated plays. In chapter 2, the relationship between the form and function of language is examined, exploring the different factors that affect one's perception towards language. Language is examined within a subjective, contextual, and social framework. The characters of the treated plays prove that language is a delicate method of expression, often resulting in rifts in communication. The third chapter deals with the fragmentation and subjectivity of time, identity, and reality. Time is examined in relation to the characters, delving into the problem of the characters' perception of the...
Aplikace temporálních logik ve fyzice
Švarný, Petr ; Majer, Ondrej (advisor) ; Pudlák, Pavel (referee)
This thesis presents an introduction to the three main fields that study time: physics, philosophy, and logics. A brief introduction to general relativity, thermodynamics and quantum physics is made. Also some of the basic ideas from the philosophy of time are explained and dualities connected to time are described, e.g. eternalism vs. presentism, determinism vs. indeterminism and the reality or unreality of time. As there is a huge number of temporal logics, only the main ideas that differentiate these logics from others are pointed out and some typical proofs are then shown. Special attention is then given to the relation between logics and physics, how the first can be used in the latter. Thereafter, Branching space-times and Branching continuation models are presented, which proved to be useful within quantum physics. Next, some basic terminology connected to general relativity and the A, P and T topologies are introduced . These are used together with the given models to investigate a possible combination.
