Problems of school maturity

This bachelor thesis is focused on the diffuculties in development of preschool age. The theoretical part of this work describes different kinds of current views ? psychological, pedagogical and social ? on the issue of school readiness. The thesis characterizes motor, cognitive, perceptual, emotional and social development of preschool age. We get to know with the terms of school readiness, preschool age, school immaturity, school attendance delay. The practical part is based on survey carried out at a group of children and is entered in tables. The survey worked with the tests that show the level of school readiness. It also contains case studies of children with school attendance delay.
Assessment of school maturity

This bachelor thesis entitled ?Diagnostics of school maturity? is focusing on the problematics of preschool children development. Theoretical part characterizes preschool child and his psychological problematics. It is devoted to the definition of term ?school maturity?, ?school readiness? and to the individual components of school maturity. It also describes causes of school immaturity and reasons for postponement of school attendance. Practical part is focusing on evaluation of preschool children with diagnostic tests of school maturity. It includes casuistries of selected children (children with last year?s postponement of school attendance; children with this year?s proposed postponement). It also contains graphs and tables of selected children. Concluding part of the thesis describes and summarizes the results.

Bachelor thesis titled School maturity deals with the development of preschool age. The aim is to evaluate the optimal maturity in pre-school ride. The theoretical part describes preschool age, his motor, cognitive, perceptual, emotional and social development. The practical part contains the results of investigations on a selected sample of children, using tests of school readiness. In the theoretical work I will describe the concept of primary school, now to set start school as a watershed event and describe the child commencing school from the perspective of developmental psychology. In the practical part I will describe how to prepare to start school some nursery schools, with an emphasis on collaboration with parents and primary schools. The bachelor thesis deals with the motivation to school in preschool children. The theoretical part begins with a description of preschool age. It then focuses on the changes associated with entering the school, school readiness and preparedness. It also included the concept of education in kindergarten and first grade of elementary school. The practical part describes the process and results of research, which aimed to find out what the children look forward to school, what they expect and what they fear. Used in research are two research methods - semistructured interview and analysis of drawings.
Preparation for entering the basic school

This thesis´ topic is to find out how pre-school children are individually and methodically prepared to enter elementary schools. The first theoretical part of this thesis compares a conception of a pre-school education and a primary level in some cuticular documents. The second part of the thesis describes a child entering the elementary school with a view of a psychology of evolution. The attention is paid to the child´s school maturity. The practical part is focused on how a nursery school can individually and methodically prepare the child to a compulsory education. An emphasis is also paid to some particular activities to be done with children and to the different fields of the child´s preparation for its compulsory education.
Use of diagnostic methods when assessing school maturity.

ABSTRACTS The theme of this thesis is the use of diagnostic methods in assessing school maturity. In the theoretical part, I defined the concept of school readiness, school readiness and school signs of maturity. Furthermore, this work includes the determination of the concept of postponement of schooling. I compared the psychological assessment in educational and psychological counseling and nursery schools. I offered an overview of diagnostic methods used and the method characterized individually. In conclusion, we evaluated the use of the most common diagnostic methods. In the practical part of my job was to determine the use of diagnostic methods in the assessment of school maturity. The research was conducted through a questionnaire in the region of South Bohemia. The questionnaire was Serena, if necessary supplemented by interview.

The theoretical part is focused on scholar of freshman class, focused on school maturity and readiness, school immaturity, initiation of school attendance and affimnity of family with school. The practical part is focused on concrete forms of communicatoin and coopertion of the school with parents, usage rate of this cooperation and content of concrete forms of coopertion. There are also describes cooperation of the school with parents of children of preschool age. This thesis describes concrete requirements on the parents.
The adaptation of children to the primary school

The child?s entry to school is an important developmental milestone. Each child is a personality, so there are different variants of adaptation to new conditions. The theoretical part of the thesis acquaints the reader with basic concepts of the pre-school period, school period, and children?s adaptation. On the basis of a qualitative survey, the thesis, then, compares them with presented results. The practical part follows the theoretical one and focuses on comparing success or failure in specified categories. To observe adaptation of very different children to the primary school, children with varied skills and abilities were selected for the survey already in the nursery school. To obtain as much information about children as possible, observations, tests, interviews with teachers in both types of educational institutions as well as questionnaires for parents were used.
School maturity and diagnostic

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of school readiness and its characteristics. In the theoretical part of the paper the problems of the appropriateness of school attendance postponement and the child?s school attendance preparation are worked up. Likewise the issue of children´s development of pre-school stage is treated and, not least, the diagnostic methods of considering the child school readiness methods and various tests used in practice including their evaluation are mentioned. In the practical part, the research is carried out based upon the observation, indigenous screening elaboration and the final evaluation.
