The GPU Based Acceleration of Neural Networks
Šimíček, Ondřej ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Petrlík, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the acceleration of backpropagation neural networks using graphics chips. To solve this problem it was used the OpenCL technology that allows work with graphics chips from different manufacturers. The main goal was to accelerate the time-consuming learning process and classification process. The acceleration was achieved by training a large amount of neural networks simultaneously. The speed gain was used to find the best settings and topology of neural network for a given task using genetic algorithm.
Object Detection on GPU
Jurák, Martin ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Juránek, Roman (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the acceleration of Random Forest object detection in an image. Random Forest detector is an ensemble of independently evaluated random decision trees. This feature can be used to acceleration on graphics unit. Development and increasing performance of graphics processing units allow the use of GPU for general-purpose computing (GPGPU). The goal of this thesis is describe how to implement Random Forest method on GPU with OpenCL standard.
Realization of supercomputer using graphic card
Jasovský, Filip ; Karásek, Jan (referee) ; Mašek, Jan (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with realization of supercomputer using graphic card with CUDA technology. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the function and the possibility of graphic cards and desktop computers and processes taking place in the proces sof calculations on them. The practical part deals with creation system for calculations on the graphic card using the algorithm of artificial intelligence, more specifically artificial neural networks. Subsequently is the generated program used for data classification of large input data file. Finally the results are compared.
GPU accelerated stereo image processing
Polák, Jaromir ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with 3D reconstruction using stereo cameras. This work is to show the usefulness of GPU acceleration for sophisticated algorithm
Distributed systems for cryptoanalysys
Zelinka, Miloslav ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Sobotka, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with crytpoanalysis, calculation performance and its distribution. It describes the methods of distributing the calculation performance for the needs of crypto analysis. Further it focuses on other methods allowing the speed increasing in breaking the cryptographic algorithms especially by means of the hash functions. The work explains the relatively new term of cloud computing and its consecutive use in cryptography. The examples of its practical utilisation follow. Also this work deals with possibility how to use grid computing for needs of cryptoanalysis. At last part of this work is system design using „cloud computing“ for breaking access password.
Possibilities of implementation parallel task in programming languages
Zejda, Václav ; Ondroušek, Vít (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the problem of implementation of parallel tasks in various programming environments. First part of the work follows the basics of parallelisation. It features especially when the parallelisation is suitable, what kinds of parallelisation are used and differences between architecture of various systems. Following parts describes various techniques in developing applications with the parallelisation support. From parallelisation support for common programming languages to graphics development tools and to environments that uses graphic processing unit (GPU) in combination with central processing unit (CPU).
Computations in Physics Using Graphic Card Procesor
Hlůšek, Bronislav ; Poliščuk, Radek (referee) ; Ondroušek, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with issue of general purpose computation on graphics processing units. It provides basic information about the graphics hardware. It also describes CUDA and CTM programming interface, that are intended specially for these calculations and features and alternative methods solving. There are as well mentioned possibilities their usage and several practical instances calculations.
Graphics card as a cheap supercomputer
Přikryl, Jan
The current powerful graphics cards, providing stunning real-time visual effects for computer-based entertainment, have to accommodate powerful hardware components that are able to deliver the photo-realistic simulation to the end-user. Given the vast computing power of the graphics hardware, its producers very often offer a programming interface that makes it possible to use the computational resources of the graphics processors (GPU) to more general purposes. This step gave birth to the so-called GPGPU (general-purpose GPU) processors that – if programmed correctly – are able to achieve astonishing performance in floating point operations. In this paper we will briefly overview nVidia CUDA technology and we will demonstrate a process of developing a simple GPGPU application both in the native GPGPU style and in the add-ons for Matlab (Jacket and Parallel Toolbox).
Cloud Computing in Gaming Industry
Gleza, Jan ; Koubský, Petr (advisor) ; Jakl, Michal (referee)
This thesis analyzes current status of software distribution in gaming industry and its biggest challenges. Thesis also includes insight in completely different approach to the software distribution -- Cloud Gaming. In practical part are thoroughly tested existing solutions and done functionality analysis. Practical part also includes experiment which regards to building own platform using currently existing tools and it is followed by discussion of results.
GPU computation in engineering practice
Fischer, Cyril
In many research fields the numerical problems demand extremely large computational power. As a consequence, researchers are constantly demanding new and more powerful computers. Recently, the graphics chip producer NVIDIA launched the CUDA parallel computing architecture, which enables scientists to utilize the extreme power available on modern and relatively cheap Graphical Processor Units (GPUs). Necessity to change the common approach together with significant difference in the GPU architecture prevents the wide usage of the graphics hardware.
