Correction of flatheads on the example of child ice hockey
Wied, Klára ; Čichoň, Rostislav (advisor) ; Půlpán, Rudolf (referee)
Title: Correction of flat- bed on example of children's ice hockey Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine whether and how the flat-foot affects the performance of the individual (speed and style of skating) and how the correction works (application of thermoplastic insole and tape). The issue of flat feet in sports can be related to other issues of the musculoskeletal system and the associated injuries. Therefore, if the correction proves that has a positive effect, it will prevent further damage during the load in this sport. Methods: It is going to be an empirical-theoretical study with an experiment. The probands (research participants) will be first examined on a podoscope. During the examination, photo documentation of the dorsal foot load with focus on the Achilles tendon line will be taken. In addition, will be made to plantogram to each participant, followed by a diagnosis of flat feet. Finally, I will examine the foot pressure load with an F-scan in regular shoes, ice skates and ice skates with a correction aid (tape). Subsequently, I compare the load rate without and with the correction aid in the ice skate, and assess whether and how (with respect to performance) the correction aid aids in optimum foot pressure distribution or increase individual performance. Results: I found...
Indications of thermoplastic insoles for younger school-age children
JIRÁŇOVÁ, Barbora
In this bachelor work I deal with Indication of thermoplastic shoe soles in children of younger school age. In the theoretic part I describe kinesiology and the most common defects of the foot, walking, proper body posture and its possible deviations, appropriate footwear for children and thermoplastic soles Formthotics. The practical part of the thesis consists of qualitative research, which was created on the basis of entry and exit examination. A total of ten subjects were included in the research (6 boys and 4 girls under 12 years of age). During the initial examination, the soles were simultaneously individually adjusted, and the final examination was performed after three months of use. The aim of this work was to map the most common indications of individually modified prefabricated shoe soles in children of younger school age and to evaluate the change of posture on the basis of comparison of entry and exit examination after three months of their use. The most common indications included flexibly flat foot and poor posture. At this time, the prevalence of poor posture in children and adults is increasing. There are many factors that can cause wrong body posture. The decrease of all-round movement and non-ideal psychomotor development in children is said to be a common reason for the creation of wrong body posture. From a physiotherapy perspective, it would be best to prevent wrong body posture with targeted exercises; however, children at this age are difficult to motivate to exercise. Therefore, one of the possible remedies we can use is individual soft shoe soles. After three months of use of soles, a improvement in position of ankle and knee joints axis and walking stereotype occurred in most subjects. In some subjects, an betterment of their flattened feet and the posture of their body was registered. However, active exercises would be needed to strengthen weakened muscle groups. Therefore, I created educational material that contains several exercises to supplement therapy. This work can be used by parents of children with wrong body posture or flat foot and physiotherapy students.
Selected characteristics of the mobility for children 3-10 years of age

The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people
Michalcová, Eliška ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of kinesiotaping for flat foot correction in association with selected parameters of gait for a specific group of people Objectives: The primary objective of this experiment was to determine whether and to what extent the application of kinesio tape to flat foot (utilising a functional correction technique) can influence the positioning of the specific segments of the body and thereby implement change to walking stereotype. Methods: Biomechanical measurement of the gait of eleven specifically selected people with the clinical symptoms of flat foot was implemented. First we recorded measurements prior to the intervention and then again, subsequent to the application of kinesio tape for a defined period. Probands retained the tape in place for the following four days and then the measuring was repeated both prior and subsequent to the removal of the tape. To determine any potential changes to the statics, initially the measuring of the postural stability prior to the intervention was first implemented in the experiment and subsequently again when the kinesio tape was removed after it had been worn for four days. This measurement was carried out using the Footscan apparatus (RSscan International, Belgium) and any potential differences in six variant modes of posture were determined....

Possibilities of physiotherapy and problematics of flat foot focus on pupils of older school age
PODRACKÁ, Veronika
This thesis deals with the issue of flatfoot in older school-age children and physiotherapy methods effective for this condition. The human foot underwent considerable changes during its evolution once a limb adapted to climbing, it gradually developed into an organ which enables humans locomotion and upright stance. Flatfoot is a rather common condition described as minimal to non-existent arch of the foot. The aim of this thesis is to list the physiotherapy methods which can be used to treat the condition in older school-age children, to suggest an exercise to help improve both the foot flexibility and the arch position, and to describe the effects of exercising on a person´s posture. The theoretical part of this thesis includes the description of the foot anatomy, foot functions and its functional relationships with other parts of the body. This part of my thesis also describes the flatfoot condition and possible therapy methods focused on children of older school age. The practical part is based on a qualitative research. The focus group of my research were three school children two girls aged 12 and 13 and a boy, 12 years old. The physiotherapy treatment was applied for eight weeks, once a week under my supervision, and the patients were asked to do the required set of exercises daily. The data was gathered during the initial and the final kinesiology examination and photos providing documentary evidence were enclosed. The physical examination included 3D scan assessment. Respective casuistries and both short-term and long-term individual rehabilitation plans were based on the processed data. The set of exercises was created beforehand and then modified during the therapy according to each patient´s physical ability and their current condition. The last therapy session included each patient´s subjective feedback concerning the therapy and its results. Positive results and a distinct improvement of the foot arch position and the body posture were achieved in each case.
