Analysis, features and applications of available current mode multipliers
Miksl, Jan ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with analysis, validation, measurement of parameters of the commercially available current multiplies (namely the EL2082 and EL4083) and their applications in practice. Control analysis are carried out in OrCAD PSpice program and compared with values from datasheets. Control analysis are focused on AC and DC characteristics of these active blocks. There are discusses the input impedance, the output impedance, the current gain and the possibility of electronic adjusting. The parameters of the elements were verified by measurements. Proposals for circuit applications (selective circuit, oscillator, frequency filter) with EL2082 and EL4083 are presented and analyzed in the program OrCAD. Three oscillator circuit designs are experimentally tested and the results are compared with the theoretical expectations and simulations in OrCAD. The possibility of electronic control for oscillators is examined. Also the sensitivity and the tolerance analysis are carried out. The constructional details of oscillators are presented at the end of this work.
Synthetic immittance dipoles using active current elements
Mráka, Michal ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master thesis discusses the design of Synthetic immittance dipoles using active current elements. The introduction presents aktive current elemetns MO-CF and DACA as buildings blocks for analog filters that are able to process signals with frequencies up to ten megahertz. Methods of synthetic elements using active current elements design is described in this thesis. Is resulted from full addmitances net which contains one active current element Subsequently there are designed various types of frequency filters working in current mode. The functionality of designed filters was verified by computer simulation. Selected designed filter were practically verified with commercially available elelments and active element MO-CF. Measurements in the frequency domain were carried on. On all of types of filters are made sensitivity analysis.
Real estate project valuation
Dokulilová, Vlasta ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Vandas, Martin (referee)
The master's thesis deals with the evaluation of a specific investment opportunity on the private equity real estate market in the Czech republic. The analysed investment project offers rare opportunity to create additional cash flow to the project under the management of the new owner. The theoretical part will define the core problematic of investment decision making process and the evaluation of investments. Practical part is focused on building a projection of cash flow and analysis of various return scenarios by using the internal rate of return as a key financial criteria to evaluate the investment opportunity.
Investment project evaluation: Construction of the biogas power plant Smržice
Kalista, Michal ; Kotáb, Jiří (advisor) ; Ropický, Jan (referee)
The investor has to decide whether he realizes the investment in the biogas power plant Smržice with a certain installed capacity If implemented, the investor is entitled to the government-guaranteed purchase price of electricity fixed for 15 years. It is necessary to predict profits and cash flows of each period which are further used for dynamic investment evaluation methods for the purpose of investment decision making. The application of the net present value shows whether the investment project is acceptable or not. The sensitivity analysis is used to compare changes in inputs with its impact on the net present value. The biogas power plant Smržice is typical example of biogas power plants built in Czech Republic in 2011-12 due to the government economic support, so finally these conclusions are generalised for the whole branch of electricity production from biogas.
Possible ways of determining value of Life Insurance Company
Zaderlíková, Šárka ; Janeček, Martin (advisor) ; Bílková, Diana (referee)
This thesis is focused on describing chosen methods used in liabilities valuation of Life Insurance Company. This is the basis for a valuation of whole Insurance Company. Next goal is real valuation of liabilities and the whole company. The value of liabilities is computed with the Market Consistent Embedded Value methodology and valuation of the company is expresed with Appraisal Value, which is currently one of the most widely used methods for valuation of a life Insurance Company. The valuation is based on values of a fictious company, but the used insurance portfolio corresponds with real life data. The valuation is computed in pessimistic, middle and optimistic variant of company development. Closing this thesis is a sensitivity analysis of assumptions, influencing value of MCEV, where a change of the costs and commisions proved to be of most significance.
Analysis of the ranking of economic faculties using the multi-criteria decision making methods
Balšánková, Tereza ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
The thesis deals with the evaluation of the economic faculties of the universities in the Czech Republic using the WSA, TOPSIS and ELECTRE III methods. The theoretical part of the work describes the theory of multi-criteria decision making and focuses on the methods with the cardinal information and methods of calculation of the criteria weights. This part of the work is further devoted to the methodology of the world's most recognized rankings and evaluations of economic faculties in the Czech Republic. The practical part deals with the selection of appropriate criteria, the determination of their scales and evaluation of faculties using the Sanna MS Excel add-in application. In the scope of the sensitivity of the evaluation depending on the change in the weights of the criteria there is drawn up a questionnaire for students of schools with economic focus. The primary purpose is to create an objective ranking of economic faculties. The secondary aim of this work is to assess the sensitivity of the order of the faculties on the method used to calculate the weights of the criteria and on change of the weighting of the criteria itself.
Economic analysis of the project of a biogas power plant in the Czech Republic
Havlová, Kristýna ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Krause, Josef (referee)
In recent years, the society is more interested in the use of renewable source of energy, which is related to the establishment of biogas power plants. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the economic benefits of investing in a particular project of biogas power plant where social impacts will not be the main indicator. In the methodological part is defined methodology (static and dynamic methods of investment decision making, sensitivity analysis). Followed by the introduction of the investor and the project. In the analytical part is evaluated the project from an economic point of view and ways of sales compared with use of biogas feed-in tariffs and green bonuses. The thesis also includes assessment of the impacts of investment from the economic, social and environmental point of view.
Evaluation of photovoltaic power plant project
Nádlerová, Simona ; Sieber, Patrik (advisor) ; Machek, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this diploma paper is to present economic models used to evaluate the investment and its implementation in calculating merits of investment in photovoltaic power plant. It consists of theoretical and practical part. Most importantly, the discounted cash flow method is used to evaluate the investment. To calculate the impact of potential adverse scenarios, cash flow streams of each of them were multiplied by their probabilities. Next stage of the paper provides sensitivity analysis for major risk factors. Finally, the breakeven point was determined and presented as a subsidiary case for investment decision.
Analysis of correlation and sensitivity of Human development index
Staněk, Tomáš ; Mazouch, Petr (advisor) ; Vltavská, Kristýna (referee)
The Human development index is a well known composite indicator which is used worldwide to compare human development between the states and which is published every year by the United Nations Development Programme. The first part of this thesis describes the origin, dimensions and calculation of HDI, subsequently it will focuses on the sensitivity analysis and its various methods. The second part of the thesis contains the analysis of correlation of the all the HDI dimensions and of the impact of the changes of each HDI component on the final output.
