Industrial programmer Atmel AVR microcontrollers
Gryžboň, Jan ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement an industrial programmer AVR microcontrollers from Atmel. The first section provides the theoretical knowledge of the AVR microcontroller. Furthermore, comparison of methods for programming the microcontroller and the selected method is an analysis of the speed of programming. The following is the entire design of industrial programmer which is implemented in the programming environment Eagle. In the penultimate part of the proposal is designed PCB. The final section is devoted to the revival of the programmer and programming.
Interface for diagnostic busbar (SMBus/12C) for accumulators
Pintér, Zoltán ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
The first chapter of the master´s thesis deals with the analysis of problems indesigning of devices, which include individual steps of the designing of the device and the choice of the most suitable option. It deals with the analysis of the proposed assignment and requirements for this device, analysis of battery management chip that the device should be able to communicate with, analysis of the I2C/SMBus communication protocol which is used for communication between the device with the battery management chips and possibilities of communication of the device with computer. The second chapter deals with the communications via USB bus and the description of this communication. The next step is dedicated to the selection of a programmable microprocessor Atmel AT90USB1287, describes his pin configuration, the possibilities, describes the way of USB interface connection, the method of the I2C/SMBus interface connection and its protection. In the last part of the this chapter the thesis describes Atmel microcontroller programming, specifically describes how to program I2C/SMBus communication, USB communication and how to write a program to the microprocessor. The third chapter of the thesis deals with the design of a single device, and components like a scheme of the connection and the concept of functional realization of the communication with device. The fourth chapter deals with the development of the device itself. Describes the parts of final involvement and describes the parts of the final program for microprocessor, such as communication with SMBus device and communication through the USB bus. The fifth chapter is devoted to the development of communication applications in Java. This section describes the different elements of applications such as communication with USB devices, data storage and open for viewing. The last chapter presents the final device and the final communication application.
Light system control via powerline communications
Rumíšek, Tomáš ; Michal, Vratislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and implementation of smart house lighting. In the living parts of the house, the light intensity is maintained at a constant level which is set by the user. The intensity of lighting can be set manually for each room from a central module with a user interface. It can also be changed by any remote control directly in the room in which the user is currently located. When the remote control is used, the information about the change of light intensity is transmitted to the central module. For communication between the central module and the luminaires, the existing power lines are used.
Precise universal timer
Bohátka, Jan ; Murina, Milan (referee) ; Sedláček, Jiří (advisor)
Nowadays the precision of the time is highly required. Often not even the user is aware of the possibility to use different services thanks to the fact that the time is synchronized by some means. There is a plenty of possibilities how to keep exact time: through the use of atomic clock, by synchronization through the internet, radio after as much as the GSM, DCF. The signal DCF77 that is available in a great part of Europe is precise enough for most of the common goods and services. The signal is broadcasted from long-wave sender in Germany located not far from Frankfurt. In the thesis I described possibilities of the DCF signal reception and proposed the device able to decode the signal. For the usage and the configuration of the device a PC is required, after the configuration the device is able to work without a connection to the PC. Module enables to switch on and off four uniphase devices into tension 230V and electric current 10A. The most important part is microcontroller Atmega8 that decodes an signal, switches off and on the loads and operates the clock. Atmega8 does not contain USB port so for a comfortable communication it was necessary to complete the module by a converter RS232 USB. Software of the microcontroller is programmed in C-language and the AVR Studia environment. Application control is designed in C#-language and the Visual Studio 2005 Professional environment.
Emulator of 3.5" diskette drive using RS232 and SD memory card
Sedláček, David ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of the 3,5" floppy drive emulator with ATMEGA microprocessor unit. The emulator has been designed according to the principles of designing electronic devices, there is also object-control application and firmware for a microcontroller, which supports MFM coding. The thesis also lists all the formats of data stored or transmitted along with some flowcharts.
Application for Zigbee Device Configuration
Brož, Kamil ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis includes the ZigBee networks and compares them with other PAN IEEE 802.15.4 networks. It describes the formation of ZigBee networks. It describes physical, MAC, network and application layer in the form of Bitcloud. Thesis includes practical implementation in the form of ZigBee application BeeCon which allows set network parameters on Iris modules.
Multiple-funktion steering wheel Formule Student
Paulus, Luboš ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
The Master‘s thesis deals with a creating of display writers on multiple-function steering wheel Formule Student. It is mainly about dates transfered through RS232 or CAN bus from control unit of the Formule to microcontroller. First of all it is necessary to find out, which informations and a which way of displaying them are more useful and readable for drivers. This leads to another point - right choice of display writers, which will be used on the steering wheel. Creation of the design and construction of display device follows.
Controllable decorative lighting system
Pelán, Pavel ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
ecorative lighting strips could be used to the backlight of furniture, to creating a modern interior design. From an architectural point of view, this design is very difficult and requires a strong sense of aesthetics. More easier is to use the LED strips to the advertising trailers or to backlighting car parts. RGB strip will be powered by switching power supply with galvanic isolation. Colour will be changed by the combination of basic colours RGB, by using 3-channel PWM of Atmel microcontroller, controlled via a wireless module, providing two-way communication..
FSK modem with AX.25 protocol
Vojtek, Michal ; Šebesta, Jan (referee) ; Fuchs, Michal (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design FSK modem for Packet communication. In accordance with accessible literature was constructed functioning circuit schema and subsequently there was constructed a motherboard which is mainly assembled from SMD technology. It makes this modem mobile and very easy usable in terrain. Modem communicates with PC via USB bus. Also this bus is used as power source for this device. Communication between modem and PC is realized by KISS protocol and connection with tranciever is realized by AX.25 protocol.
Packet analyser for a Wireless Sensor Networks based on the standard IEEE 802.15.4
Bednařík, Martin ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Mráz, Ľubomír (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to get familiar with wireless sensor networks technologies and with standard IEEE 802.15.4. and communication principle in wireless sensor networks built on this standard. Main goal of this project is to design a packet analyzer, which is capable to catch data on chosen channel and this data is able to analyze. Part of this project is production of necessary microcontroller software equipment. Another output of this project is do a research of available packet analyzers on market and compare them with analyzer build by this thesis.
