Sense of patterns and indices in macroecology
Pacák, Robert ; Šizling, Arnošt Leoš (advisor) ; Storch, David (referee)
Ecological patterns and indices are often used and highly informative tool, which could express otherwise hardly conceivable ecological facts by poor numerical figures. When using simplification of the complex biological reality, however, we take a risk that the mere number-result will not have sufficient predictive value. Therefore, it is imperative to deeply understand to the mathematical ecological basis of all indices and equations that we decide to apply in our research. This paper will deal primarily with indices and equations for expression biodiversity and their potential environmental meanings in macreocology. Key words: Ecological patterns, similarity indices, mathematical ecology,...
Patterns in Cultural Performance
Vondrášková, Sára ; Soukup, Martin (advisor) ; Soukup, Václav (referee)
Sára Vondrášková- Patterns in cultural performance- abstract The subject of this thesis is a theoretical analysis of chosen factors which influence creative process that leads to an art work. Theese factors are comprehended as patterns that determine this process and their origin and function is studied by different approaches. The first part deal with time as an element, restitutional and reductional approach according to Borecký and Apollonian and Dionysian concepts according to Nietzsche. The second part is dedicated to the impact of technology and emotions on the character of an art work and it deals with their influence on a form and effect of the art work. Key words: Art work, Pattern, Technology, Emotion, Existence
Patterns in Cultural Performance
Vondrášková, Sára ; Soukup, Martin (advisor) ; Soukup, Václav (referee)
Sara Vondraskova- Patterns in cultural performance Abstract The subject of this thesis is a theoretical analysis that explores the relationship between human and technology. This thesis explores the fragile border that divides the naturalness and artificiality and is focused on their sense and meaning. The first part is dealing with the Jean Baudrillard's concept of simulacrum and the virtual evolution that is captured in the work of Karl Sims and Vilém Novák. The second part is dedicated to artificial intelligence and electronic music. This work concentrates on the relativity of terms artificial and natural and is considering context and reference point as the crucial part in manipulation with theese terms. Keywords: Technology, naturalness, art, artificial intelligence, simulacrum, virtual evolution, computer program, electronic music, extension of body, pattern, cultural performance.

The print on textile
JÍLKOVÁ, Lucie
The thesis is focused on print on textile. Theoretical part of the thesis describes natural and synthetic textile fibres, construction of textile fabrics, their history and ways of use. Next part is devoted to the art of printing, specifically hand printing methods. There is one chapter describing how to use the hand print in teaching at elementary schools of art. This is followed by the practical part of thesis. The practical part describes different procedures of hand printing on the different textile fabrics. There are presented final scarves with own patterns. Results of this thesis are described in the last chapter.
Electronic Booking System for Laboratories and Laboratory Equipment
Povoda, Lukáš ; Mach, Václav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this paper is to create the database structure and the web interface of the reservation system. This system is for the reservation of the laboratories and of the measuring equipement (for hire). System was created by the most widely language intended for creating Web application - language PHP, and database system MySQL, specifficaly base on the storage system InnoDB formed for relation database and the transaction. This paper descbires the princip of the work of modern patterns like Model-View-Presenter or Dependency injection and their both practical use. The code of the web application has been based on PHP framework Nette, on PHP library dibi created for database MySQL, on library mPDF created for generation of the PDF files from HTML code. System has been created according to convention of framework Nette and already mentioned design pattern, so it means that all changes such as spreading, changes of implemented funcions, changes of design of web interface, work with the datas or implemenation of the new interface and of new funcions will be simpler and take less time then for example the use of the system without convention and pattern.
Recognition of Objects in Pictures
Nedoma, David ; Samek, Jan (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
This thesis is about solving a problem of recognition of objects in pictures. The aim was to create a program that will be able to recognize objects in an image. Describes progressively step by step processing of image data. Shortly describes preprocessing of image, after that describes in detail segmentation, description of segmented data and classification of objects. Describes algorithms and methods that are applicable for each step.
Patterns, typology and methodology of dealing with traffic accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals
Rábek, Vlastimil
The present contribution a very open and inclusive manner, deals with the issue of traffic accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals. The complexity of this type of accidents is in considerable overlap of the issue also in the field of construction and traffic engineering, automation technology and law. Therefore be adequately cited excerpts of the relevant legal provisions and technical standards. Although the expert is not authorized to speak to the legal issues, but nothing prevents the author freely within the post ponder interdisciplinary contexts. The paper deals with, among others, the standard control modes and fault conditions of traffic lights and practically demonstrates the use of electronic data registered on the activities of traffic lights (OCIT protocol, operating, servicing and fault log).Unit II of this paper deals mainly with typologies, experience, methodology, solutions, investigations and case reports of accidents at intersections controlled by a system of light signals.
The use of statistical methods in data mining in predicting consumer behaviour for Internet purchases
Podzimková, Michaela ; Vilikus, Ondřej (advisor) ; Berka, Petr (referee)
Data mining is a new discipline that occurs with increasing amount of stored data and the increasing need to obtain the information hidden in them. It is focused on the mining of potentially useful information from large data sets and it lies at the intersection of statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, databases and other areas. The aim of this thesis is to present the process of data mining with an emphasis on its connection with statistics and to describe a selection of statistical methods widely used in this field and which were also used in the applied data mining problem in this thesis. Real data from purchases in the online store show that using different methods gives different results and interesting information about purchasing behavior, and also proves that not all methods are always applicable to all types of tasks.
J2EE design patterns
