During the first eight years, the funding of the army consisted mainly of budget allowances. After 1927's reform it was also a fund newly created to allow a long term planning. During the years of thread, the funding by a debt was introduced, due to increase in costs in defenses against the German expansion. In response to this, the amount of Czechoslovakian engagements significantly rose. Finally, the question of readiness to fight and defense in conflict with German aggression arises.
