The aim of this study is to assess the status of HIV positive people in society. To reach the goal and for introducing a whole continuation of HIV positive status will be used interpretation and analysis of research from the very first to the very latest. Research that will appear in the work, are aimed at knowledge and attitudes towards HIV-positive people. In order to capture the continuation of knowledge and attitudes to HIV / AIDS at the time, researches are presented chronologically, and the last one is my own survey. The sense of this study is to pay attention to the problem of stigma and discrimination against people with HIV. HIV / AIDS issue is a complex problem that affects a wide range of scientific disciplines, so the study includes apart from sociological discourses topics of medicine, law and psychology. Spirituality and substatnce use among students of the high school Česká Třebová: questionnaire survey

Background: Within the treatment of addiction, spirituality is included in the bio-psycho- socio-spiritual model, where, compared to others parts of this model, it is the least described and examined component, a fact which is reflected in the status and treatment of patients with a certain type of psychiatric illness. Spirituality is different for every individual person; everyone perceives it differently and reaches different dimensions, whether measurable or only experiential. Objective: The objective of this research was to probe and describe the perception of spirituality among Česká Třebová High School students and it's relation to the experience of using drugs. Other individual objectives were to determine whether the spirituality factors are related to the experience of using specific drugs and whether there is a relation between drug usage and information technology, which is widespread among the schoolage youths. Methodology: The theoretical part focuses on spirituality in general, which is very broad and affects a lot of subjects, and perspectives thereon of other specific scientific fields. Backrounds: The data source was a summary dossier on illegal drugs users' which heve been treated at the Department of Internal Medicine (6th station - Infection) University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012. It was provided me by doctors. Objectives: The aim of the research was to determine the patients' compliance with the treatment and to describe the relationship between drug use, length of the drug career and the occurence of the infectious diseases. Methods: The comprehensive statistic information on the clients - drug users (315) which have been treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital in Motol in 2011 and 2012 was analyzed using the analytical-statistical methods. The ethical principles were preserved. The study is retrospective, it hasn't taken place face meeting with these clients. Results: 315 of drug users were treated at the Department of Infectious Diseases of the University Hospital Motol in 2011 and 2012. There are 128 outpatients and 187 hospitalized following outpatient clinics. All patients were between 15 and 57 years old. The most common mode of drug use was intravenous application. The drop-in centre Drug-OUT Club from Usti nad Labem substitution programme clients' quality of life

The thesis focuses on one of the possible methods of the opioid addiction treatment, on the substitution therapy. It also describes specific form of substitution therapy in Ústí nad Labem, part of the particular low-threshold facility for drug users. The paper also briefly discusses opioid addiction and the options of its substitutional therapy in Ústí nad Labem (e.g. methadone therapy, buprenorfine therapy). The aim of this thesis is to evaluate life quality of substitutional therapy's clients in the low-threshold facility in Ústí nad Labem and compare those results with life quality of clients who are using buprenorfine obtained on the black market. Another goal is to use these findings to improve and expand services for this target group. The theoretical part briefly describes the opioid addiction and possible methods of its treatment, mainly substitutional therapy. The research evaluates the life quality of clients who are using buprenorfine and identifies problematic parts of their lives. Substance abuse among people with hearing impairment and their barriers to accessing substance abuse treatment

The theme of study was the influence of hearing impairment on human development and his status in society in context of risk situation for substance abuse development. Theoretical part is aimed on psychosocial development of hearing impaired people and social situations, which can have an influence on mental health of deaf and hard of hearing people. The aim of practical part is mainly to describe the presence of substance use among the target group, frequency, prevalence, initiation and abuse of substances with choosen screening methods and diagnostic tools, subjective perception of substance use around the respondent, presence of discrimination or bullying, staying in residential schools and other situation of capital importance which could relate to substance abuse. Used tool of data collecting was a questionnaire in paper and electronical form. To better understanding there were made a videos in sign language. Questionnaires was spread in public school in Prague and in club named Česká unie neslyšících (Czech Union of Deaf), through the social networks, organisation and webs which are focused on hearing impairment, by the snowball method. Development of mortality of women in relation to the selected risk factors of lifestyle in the Czech Republic since 1995 Abstract The main objective of the thesis is to characterize development of mortality of causes of death, which may be related to lifestyle, by using methods of demographic analysis. The thesis focuses on describing the relation of lifestyle and mortality. Mortality of the population of women in economically active age in the Czech Republic from 1995 to 2012 is analyzed. This thesis defines the group of causes of death, which can be related to lifestyle risk factors, namely smoking, alkohol abuse and drug use. The development of mortality to the defined group of causes of death and its sub-causes of death is demonstrated by demographic indicators. These indicators are: standardized mortality rate, age-specific probability of death, temporary life expectancy and decomposition of the difference of temporary life expectancy at age 15-65 between 1995 and 2012 by age group and (sub)groups of causes of death. Background Risky behavior among students nursing schools - future health professionals in direct and indirect patient care and access to addictive substances. Formulation of objectives or research questions To map the prevalence, frequency and types of drugs used by students SZŠ using the following research questions: What is the difference in the prevalence of substance use among students in direct patient care (field medical assistant) and students in indirect patient care (field of medical lyceum)? The prevalence of substance use (alcohol, soft and hard drugs) in the fields of medical students in relation to their future careers with age /year of lower/higher? Description of the methods used Data were collected at day education of students of the high school quantitative method using a questionnaire survey in Google Docs (Google Forms) with a total of 18 those questions, 15 of them were taken from the ESPAD (European School Survey Project study on alcohol and other drugs). "Toxíci": The Pioneers of the World Drug in the Real Socialism Era. Symbolic Re-construction of the Initial Drug Subculture in Communist Czechoslovakia

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find answers to questions connected to the symbolic construction of collective identity of the initial drug community in communist Czechoslovakia. This discourse creation of collective identity is analyzed on the basis of biographical interviews with outliving members of the then drug subculture. In the course of the terrain investigation there has been recorded a total of 34 narratives of the representatives of the two successive generations of this drug community by using the unstructured and semi-structured interview technique. For the purposes of this research, there has been analyzed 7 interviews closely connected to the beginning and the initial process of formation of drug community. By means of analysis and interpretation of the content of these biographical materials there are primarily captured the collectively shared interpretative frames of values and important identification attributes by which protagonists of the oldest generation of this community form their former collective identity. In this way is clarified how the narrators themselves re-construct and re-interpret their subjectively experienced "we" and at the same time using the symbolic resources to define borders against the non-members of this collectivity.
