Specifics of nursing documentation in providing nursing care foreign patients
KUBIŠOVÁ, Pavla
Abstract This diploma work?s title is ?Special Characteristics of Nursing Care Documentation at Providing Foreign Patients with Nursing Care?. Nursing care documentation is very important, which statement represents general consent of all medical officers of health however the aforementioned nursing care documentation is rather complicated and disunited and uncoordinated. The greatest problem that appears here consists in needs being different taking into consideration culture, country, which the person (patient) comes from and the patient?s religion that the patient practices. Therefore it is important to bring order and consolidate all relevant pieces of information and think over nationwide use of this important data containing foreign patient characteristics. At present paying attention to this problem is worth not only noticing but also solving it because due to increasing migration to and within the Czech Republic territory it is expected that there will be a lot of different cultures as well as nationalities and medical personnel is expected high level of nursing care taking account of their needs. In the beginning there were set the following two goals: To ascertain whether the existing nursing documentation contains specific pieces of information necessary for providing nursing care for foreign patients and to determine whether it is necessary to make specific pieces information regarding foreign patients an integral part of nursing documentation. Three research questions were established at the same time then. The first research question focused on the fact whether the documentation having been used in hospitals was adapted to satisfy biological, psychical, social and spiritual needs of foreign patients. Thanks to the research question number two we made effort to ascertain and identify whether the documentation applied and being used in hospitals covers also the specific documentation oriented to foreign patients. The third and last research question solved the problem whether it is necessary that specific pieces of information dealing with foreign patients should be an integral part of nursing documentation. Inquiry check and examination were carried out by applying method of qualitative examination by means of non-standard interview and during the second part of interview data analysis was used. The research samples were represented by nurses working at hospital wards in the hospitals within South Bohemia Region, West Bohemia Region, Central Bohemia Region and North Moravia Region. Applying interview forms processed the pieces of information provided by nurses. The inquiry checks and examinations showed that the nursing documentation used in the hospital wards does not contain in sufficient scope the pieces of information oriented to the foreign patients and foreign clients which results in foreign patients and clients not satisfying biological, psychical, social and spiritual needs. It follows from this that nurses working at hospital wards do not have available and at their disposal the documentation related to the foreign clients and patients and dealing with the foreign clients? needs ? the existing nursing documentation is only one and it is applied and used for all hospital clients i.e. it is uniform. It is possible to make the conclusion that the first goal having been established has been met and the same hold good for the second one. In the connection and context with pieces of knowledge having been ascertained we should like to recommend that nurses working at hospital wards should have the possibility of getting familiar with multicultural nursing and it would be advisable and appropriate to provide nursing documentation oriented to foreign clients coming from foreign countries. It appears important from the point of view to satisfy the needs of these clients, which will bring nursing care new higher quality.

The main objective was to identify if the quality of foreign students studying in the Czech Republic changes during the long stay in the Czech Republic and if so, how this is expressed. The thesis is divided into two sections {--} theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter deals with quality of life in general, its history, definitions and possibilities of scoring the quality of life. The second section outlines chances of foreigners at the entry and stay in the Czech Republic. The third summarizes activities of foreigners in our country since the foundation of the Czech Republic until now, their numbers and education. At the beginning of the empirical section the goal is set is hypotheses are stated, followed by the research process description and the means used to confirm or refute hypotheses. The resulting values are clearly explained and presented in the form of graphs and tables. Data obtained from the research are being confronted in subsequent discussion. The goal of the thesis is to determine how the quality of life of foreign students differs from European standards, and whether it gets changed in the course of the long-term residence in the Czech Republic. Czech Population´s Opinion of Foreigners´ Immigration to the Czech Republic.
PACHLOVÁ, Radka
The Bachelor's thesis deals with the opinions of the Czech population of the foreigners' immigration to the Czech Republic. This subject matter attacted me especially because migration has always been an up-to-date topic. This phenomenon influences almost everybody, whether it concerns the migration inside one country or among countries. Although migration has existed all the human history long, the Cyech Republic has been facing this problem since 1989 after the boundaries had opened. During the last ten years the number of foreigners coming to the Czech Republic has encreased twice. The people leave their homelands from various reasons. Some of them want to escape wars, the others depart from environmental, economic or working reasons. However, the arrival of the immigrants to the host country breeds benefits as well. The national cultures variegate and influence each other, the immigrants fill the vacancies which are not staffed by the locals. It is necessary that the immigrants who come their host country will be integrated. These people are being incorporated into the society, which also brings troubles. The most frequent problems the immigrants meet during their integration are the following. The foreigners cannot speak the language of their host country, they are not able to find job, they cannot find accommodation. There is also prejudice of the majority that obstructs good relations of the minorities with the majority society. The aim of this thesis was to find out what are the views of the Czech society to the foreigners' immigration and what is its attitude to their integration. In relation with these aims I set down hypotheses which were checked through a quantitative research by means of the interviewing method and by means of questionnaires. The practical part of the thesis results in the finding that the foreigners who are comming to the Czech Republic are perceived rather negatively. Nevertheles, some people mean that the migration can be beneficial as well. Most of the interviewed people know a foreigner personally and their relations are mostly good. In my thesis, I come to a conclusion that the Czech citizens prefer cultural diversity above all. Based on information collected from the research part of this thesis, I suppose there should be organised more workshops alongside with discussions to improve public awareness of life and habits of people coming from different cultural background.

The basis of this thesis is aimed at evaluating the position of foreigners within the labour market and the possibilities of their integration. The questioning method (the technique of the questionnaire) and the method of document analysis (the technique of secondary data analysis) were both used within the framework of quantitative research in this thesis. The research complex consisted of foreigners listed in evidence at the employment office in České Budějovice. The research was carried out by means of quantitative method, while the results were compared with the above mentioned publications{\crq} data. The aim of this paper is to point out the engagement of foreign nationals and also ethnic groups living in the Czech Republic in illegal drug sale. Another aim is to compare the concern of Czech citizens and foreign nationals in this criminal activity and to find out how the drug criminality beating reflects itself on the price of drugs. In the first chapter of this paper, information concerning selected ethnic groups engaged in illegal drug sale in the Czech Republic are stated. The major part is dedicated to persons of Vietnamese and Romany nationality. This chapter draws upon specialized publications; it also contains paraphrases on particular publications. At the close of the chapter, specific characteristics of illegal drug sale according to particular types of drugs are described. The research includes tables comparing drug delinquency in perpetrators of Czech nationality and foreign nationals. National minority distribution, number of criminal acts concerning drugs in both groups of perpetrators, and concern of ethnic groups and foreign nationals in organized criminal activity are mentioned as well. Results of the research are stated at the close of the bachelor paper. They are in compliance with set hypotheses and met the aim of this paper because it has been proven in what way foreign nationals and national minorities living in the Czech Republic are engaged in drug criminality.
