The comparisson of export promotion policy of Czech Republic and Slovakia

The topic of diploma thesis is the comparison of export promotion policy of Czech Republic and Slovakia. Both countries, as small export-focused economies to a great extent economically dependent on exports, must pay huge attention to export promotion provided by state. The thesis is focused on description and analysis of export promotion policy of Czech Republic and Slovakia and on their comparison. The content of the thesis is divided into five chapters. The fist chapter describes theoretical concept of export promotion policy and its instruments, defines foreign-trade policy and trade policy, liberalism and protectionism, and analyzes the structure and importance of export in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The second chapter is dedicated to short history of support of export in Czechoslovakia in 1945-1990 under the Soviet influence and after the fall of Soviet Union in 1990-1992. The third chapter is focused on detailed description and analysis of export promotion policy in Czech Republic, its development and institutions. The fourth chapter describes Slovakian export promotion policy in the same way. The fifth chapter is addressed to Common Trade Policy of the European Union and its impact on export promotion in Czech Republic and Slovakia, to evaluation of its present state and comparison of export promotion policies of Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Instrument analysis of export promotion policy of the Czech Republic

The thesis focuses on the export promotion policy of the Czech Republic with special emphasis on an Export hot-line, which represents one of the projects of the current export strategy. The Export hot-line was established 4 years ago to inform Czech exporters about state export promotion. The main objective of the thesis is to analyse and evaluate present functioning of this project. The thesis also presents own suggestions and corrective instruments to improve provided services and overall functioning of the project.
Selected problems of export policy of the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the current state of export policy of the Czech Republic and its security in the institutional framework. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first chapter deals with the institutional solution to support exports and the particular forms of export promotion. This chapter also deals with development, characteristics and products offered by various institutions of the state aid. The second part is dedicated to the problems of export policy and the readiness of the Czech Republic Czech exporters to profit from the existing system of export promotion. The attention is paid to issues related to the global financial crisis. This is the problem of declining sales in EU markets, Export Strategy, and finally ineffective economic diplomacy of the Czech Republic.
Effects of Economic Crisis to the Czech exports Development

The aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to evaluate the development of Czech exports in the years 2007 - 2010 and on the basis of the acquired information to propose appropriate measures to improve the situation of Czech exports. A partial aim of this Bachelor Thesis is to analyze the situation of Czech exports at the time of economic crisis, its comparison with chosen member countries of European Union (Slovakai, Poland, Hungary, Germany) and the market research intent on companies focused on export in the area of engineering, mainly the production of various machinery and gadgets. The result of this Bachelor Thesis was finding a very bad situation of Czech exports especially in 2009 when there was a setback. As a result of market crisis, most companies had to lay off their staff and reduce some other expenses associated with the business. Czech Republic and other analyzed countries had to take various measures to mitigate the negative impact of the economic crisis. Most commonly there was provision of favorable export loans and insurance, and also extending maturities.
Pro-export policy of Czech Republic in comparison with other EU-countries

Diploma paper deals with the comparison of pro-export policy in Czech Republic, Great Britain and Austria. The work describes the system of state promotion of exporting companies in monitored economies and focuses on the activities of particular institutions, which provide financial and non-financial support. In conclusion, the comparison of pro export policies in these countries is carried out in various points of view -- institutional framework, offered projects in the sphere of information, consultancy and education services and financial support.
The system view on economic diplomacy in the Czech Republic

The target of this thesis is analysis of the economic diplomacy system used in the Czech Republic. First theoretic part focus on the term economic diplomacy in general, its definition, main participants, and different ways to organize it. In the second part the system used in the Czech Republic is analyzed, including the legislative frame, organizational structure and various institutions involved in control and support of economic diplomacy in Czech Republic. The goal of the third part is to review this system, point out the main problems and evaluate corrective measures taken.

The goal of my Bachelor thesis is the pro-export policy of the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two basic parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the field of the state export promotion. In this part I am analysing the document Export Strategy of the Czech Republic for 2006 - 2010. I am describing the institutions in charge of the execution of the pro-export policy. In the practical part I am attending to company Škoda Auto a.s., it's history, production, export strategy, state export promotion and cooperation with the state-owned institutions.
The analysis on the CzechTrade's activities on major export markets

The first part is about the importance for the Czech Republic to promote export, it also describes the development of export promotion from the period of centrally-planned economy until now . The following one informs about Czech institutions that are active in export promotion. The last one is engaged in activities of the CzechTrade Promotion Agency, mainly in activities of its foreign office in India and sums up the opportunities the Indian market offers to the exporters.
Analysis of export promotion provided by Czech Export Bank

Export promotion via officially supported export credits and insurance is relatively widespread around the world. The thesis describes activity of Czech Export Bank (CEB) and mentions also its legal framework in Czech system of export promotion. Text contains pros and cons of export promotion. The main part of the thesis is panel data analysis using gravity equation. This panel data involves 130 countries in period of 1996 -- 2008 with data on export, export promotion, GDP, political risk and other variables. There is investigated impact of activities of CEB on Czech export using 2 gravity models (static and dynamic). In these models export promotion is significant factor with positive impact on Czech export.
Export Strategy Projects of the Czech Republic

The thesis focuses on twelve main Export Strategy projects of the Czech Republic during the years 2006-2010. The main objective is to analyse current degree of their realisation and suggest possible changes. The theoretical part concentrates on pro-export policy including institutional background. In the practical part the projects are analysed. Each project (chapter) is then divided into three parts - introduction of a project, its assessment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and current assessment by the author. Each chapter also includes suggestions of corrective instruments.
