This Bachelor Thesis focuses on the urbaria of the domain Týn nad Vltavou in the years 1719 to 1723. It includes a general definition of urbaria as important historical sources and at the same time describes, examines and compares the urbaria of this domain from diplomatic point of view in detail. This thesis further describes the history, development and economic situation of said domain in early modern times. This work also contains an edition of the urbarium of 1719 and charts including a summary overview of paid interests in this domain. This data is taken from urbaria or litarature.

Nakladatelství Franze Kafy and Its Role in the Cjontext of Czech Publishing Culture

My diploma thesis deals with the Nakladatelství Franze Kafky publishing house. It is a case study about problematics of small publishing house, which is oriented on a small audience, and its place on the contemporary book market. Nakladatelství Franze Kafky was oficially established in 1991 in Prague, and it is a part of a non- profit cultural organisation called Společnost Franze Kafky. The transformation and history of the book market from 1990 to 2016 is outlined in order to understand the contemporary context. The second part of the thesis is focused on the history of Nakladatelství Franze Kafky, divided into two stages according to two former chief editors - Marta Železná and Markéta Mališová. The last chapters are dedicated to description and analysis of the way of publishing practice, and the internal structure of the organization, and its possible differences from the usual process of book creation. Subsequently, book production and three main profile editions are presented. The aim of the thesis is a comprehensive description of the history and present state of Nakladatelství Franze Kafky.

Exhortatio ad canonicos regulares de vicio proprietatis: regular canons and property in late MIddle Ages

This thesis encompasses an edition of the text Exhortatio ad canonicos regulares de vitio proprietatis, contained in manuscript III D 16 from the National library of the Czech Republic in Prague, which was formerly in possession of the monastery library of regular canons in Roudnice nad Labem. The edition is based on eight manuscripts, and a second edition of a parallel text has been created from another two manuscripts. The thesis includes a description of the manuscripts, a textual analysis examining the text's origin and its connection with other tracts about property of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, particularly the works by Henry of Langenstein, as well as a translation of the tract into Czech.

Chronicle of the grammar school Krásnohorská 1947-1952

The bachelor thesis focuses on an edition of school chronicle, written at "Krásnohorská" grammar school for girls in 1947-1952, including its commentary. Said chronicle is deposited in Prague City Archives, as is the oldest chronicle of this school, which was written in 1890-1936. Its edition was made by PhDr. Milada Sekyrková, CSc. in 2016. This thesis follows this previous edition, so it could complete a whole. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focuses on the development of education from the school reform of Maria Theresa to 1954. Then there is a description of advancement of the grammar schools on our territory, which is followed by development of the process of effort to develop education of girls in 19th century. The main purpose of this part then represents an essay about Minerva society and the history of "Krásnohorská" grammar school for girls. The second part focuses on the development of school chronicles since their beginnings till present day. It is followed by previously mentioned edition, which include a commentary, an index of names and a table of abbreviations.

The abstract The main aim of the thesis is preparation of the edition of an educational text by Simon Lomnický from Budeč. My work includes the correction of grammar, syntactic and ortographic errors, some of them need special decision, which has no influence on the uniqueness of the middle czech language. I have also analysed main themes and motives, which were similar to the themes of an another same genre books. The end of the life of Simon Lomnicky wasn't very happy and there were a lot of bad legends about his political behavior and his death during 19 th century,, which was destroyed on the beggening of the 20th century. I was also trying to find the origin of these rumors and make decision of its.

Ph.D. Thesis Abstract Piano Concerto in G Minor, op. 33, by Antonín Dvořák - Early and Final Version Critical Edition of the Score // Study about the Origin, the First Printing and the Performance Practice The dissertation is focused on the Concerto for Piano by Antonín Dvořák from 1876 - an outstanding composition not only in the Czech milieu but in all the European context as well - , which was a very long time condemned for its "unsuitable" piano part. The thesis summarizes all existing knowledge of the history of the origins and reception of the Dvořák's Piano Concerto, which is further verified on the basis of written contemporary sources (Dvořák's correspondence and contemporary press, sometimes yet unknown). Distorted and false pieces of information are corrected and supplemented with new findings (relating to the performances, interpreters, arrangements). Thanks to them, the author presents a new sight of the history of the reception of this composition from inception until the beginning of present century. For the first time all musical sources are examined in detail and relations between them studied (autograph with revisions between years 1876-1883, a copy of the score, which Leoš Janáček let made in 1878/9 and materials of the first printing J. This diploma thesis presents compiled and edited collection of letters from the czech landscape painter František Kaván (1866-1941), a scholar of Julius Mařák's painting school, to the publisher and gallerist František Topič (1858-1941), the painter Oldřich Blažíček (1887-1953) and the librarian and bibliographer Ladislav Jan Živný (1872-1949). The edition is based on 104 letters kept in the Museum of Czech Literature in Prague and the Archives of the National Gallery in Prague. The correspondence describes a life of the painter from the year 1894 to 1941. The diploma thesis analyses and comments approachable literature and deals with relevant sources of material. Editorial comment summarizes principles and methods applied in this thesis, one part is dedicated to the editor Svatopluk Klír. The main parts are chapters based on commentary of selected passages of 104 edited documents with further relevant information in the apparatus. Fulltext edition of mentioned documents is a part of the appendix. A part of the thesis are indices and list of sources and literature. Odeon Publishing House: Current Profile and Media Image

1 Abstract The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to present Odeon, an important Czech publishing house. The first chapter covers the history of Odeon since its founding in the 1920s by Jan Fromek during a renaissance in the communist era to the problematic privatisation in the 1990s. The first chapter ends in 1999 when Bertelsmann bought Odeon's trademark. The next chapter describes Odeon in its current state. Nowadays Odeon publishes many different book genres; senior editor Jindřich Jůzl chracterises it as literary fiction. I present all four editions of Odeon: Světová knihovna (World's Library), Nobelova cena (Nobel's Prize), Česká řada (Czech Edition) and Knihovna klasiků (Classics Library) including various prominent writers and important books that Odeon holds the rights to. A description of marketing and public relations is also included. A discussion of literary reviews and readers' praise for the books of Odeon makes up most of the third chapter. Reception was usually positive and complimentary of Odeon's quality. The last chapter looks into the Czech book market, Odeon's position in Euromedia Group and I compare Odeon with its main competitors which according to Jindřich Jůzl are Argo, Host, Paseka, Kniha Zlín and Mladá fronta publishing houses.
