The topic of the thesis is issue of security during the application development. The main emphasis is being placed on web applications. The goal is to define a framework for managing the life cycle of applications to meet the security minimum. The objectives of the work are achieved by study of available resources and their subsequent analysis. The target audiences are software developers interested in learning more about how to create secure applications. The work describes the areas that are crucial for security of applications. Work contains security standards which we can use for defining security requirements of applications. Furthermore, there are mentioned the most serious security vulnerabilities and ways how to avoid them. It describes issue of security testing as an important tool for verifying security. Deployment of applications in PHP
Zikmund, Štěpán ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Burkoň, Lukáš (referee)
This work deals with automated deployment of web appliactions in PHP. There is not any wide used standard tool for deploying of web application wrote in PHP. That is way the main objective of work is to create automated and universal solution which can be used for application with various database systems or frameworks. For purpose of design this tool I describe at the beginning of this work individual components of web application. It is source code of application, HTML templates and CSS, grafic files, data and database schema. Next I write about posibilities of uploading application to server. This chapter is based on Sharar Evron's talk at conference ZendCon 2010 named Best Practices in PHP deployment. For individual components of application I try to find specific steps which are necessary or usefull to do during application deployment. It is e.g. JavaScript and CSS files minification, database schema modification or secure data injecting in application's configuration files. In fourth and fifth chapter I write about implementation of these steps and connection them in process of application deployment and rollback. For this implementation I use tool Phing.

The web analysis and design methodology MANW
Karlec, Jakub ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Kafka, Daniel (referee)
The main subject of this thesis is to prepare the web analysis and design methodology, MANW. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition of the methodological framework on the basis of which the methodology will be built. The framework comes out from the methodological framework MEFIS which has been accustomed to comply with specific needs of the web application and websites development. The second part of the thesis is dedicated to the research of existing methodologies for web project implementation. Based on the research, the elements of the methodologies suitable for analysis and design are selected and then incorporated into the MANW methodology. The last part of the thesis is the description of the methodology itself and description of its characteristics and elements. The goal of the diploma thesis is to prepare a simple methodology for websites and web applications analysis and design which can be used in agile web development. The methodology is described by its phases, processes, roles, inputs and outputs and other elements which are defined in the elaborated methodological framework. The output of methodology processes are the data for implementation, deployment and operation of web solutions. It was necessary to define the term methodology and define a methodological framework first in order to work out the methodology itself successfully. Another starting point for methodology design was the research of existing methodologies which also serves as an introduction to the problems of web projects implementation and provides an overview of existing tools. Output of the thesis is the MANW methodology which is a synthesis of the working experience and of a methodological framework theory. This methodology is easily modifiable and thanks to the clear process definition it can provide the companies with an effective solution of web products analysis and design.
